central and southern england, strong gusty winds towards the north sea coast but towards the north and west turning largely dry, clear skies and locally quite a chilly start to the day tomorrow for some out towards the north and west. underneath the cloud and rain of course it is mild and this is the position of the low pressure heading through tuesday. gusty winds towards these eastern facing coasts and some of that brain drifting little further westward at times. i think generally out towards the north and west, down to northern ireland, western scotland, parts of wales and south—west england, it is looking dry and temperatures will be rising, 15—17 celsius and the best of the sunshine. then high pressure starts to drift down from the north. for all of us, a much better looking picture heading to wednesday, thursday and friday but business as usual into the weekend. thanks, elizabeth, and that's bbc news at six. now its time to join our colleagues for the news where you are — goodbye.
