commandos, army commanders, political leaders, intelligence heads, they are all sort of continuing with their consultations to decide from amongst a list of options, which one to choose in terms of attacking which target in iran. these targets range from iranian nuclear facilities to the energy infrastructure, like refineries, power plants, gas stations and all that. plus iranian revolutionary guard and military bases. these are the range of things that they are considering. we know that the commander of the american forces in the region, he is expected here any hour now to coordinate between american forces and israeli forces about

this particular attack because the concern is such an attack on iran will have rapper questions for the region and the americans have to be in the picture. we have more details from the american side. joe biden saying that israelis are not yet ready to go with this attack, but nevertheless, he came up with a suggestion that if he was in the shoes of the israelis, he would avoid attacking iran's oil fields. israelis, he would avoid attacking iran's oilfields. so i guess he is concerned about the prices of war and it going up the prices of war and it going up as a result of these attacks. up as a result of these attacks-— up as a result of these attacks. ., , ., , , , attacks. kasra, 'ust briefly, what is being _ attacks. kasra, just briefly, what is being said - attacks. kasra, just briefly, what is being said in - attacks. kasra, just briefly, what is being said in iran? | attacks. kasra, just briefly, i what is being said in iran? we saw the supreme leader taking

fights are going and coming as usual. the uk has had three chartered flights at the moment, and there is a four than a safe and out, flight to leave on sunday. the korean air force throughout 97 of their nationals early this morning. australia has 15,000 citizens still in lebanon, they have been flying aircraft out of cyprus, just across the mediterranean from here. these are the latest pictures of australian citizens and their family and relatives arriving in the coastal city of larnaca and plans for seaborne evacuation as well. china has said that 200 of their citizens have been evacuated. many people, even lebanese people if they cannot trying to leave the country at the moment during the continued bombardment. i want to take you to the uk now and correspondent who is in central london where pro—palestinian protests have been taking place. what is happening where you are?

when i spoke to the organisers, they said they were expecting they said they were expecting the turn out to be back. several thousand have turned out on the streets of the capital to take part in the demonstration. we can see people with the palestinian flags, holding placards and banners saying, see —— ceasefire now. there giant megaphone saying stop the war, stop the bombing now. there are people here are of different ages, people with children in pushchairs, elderly people, people of different faiths and backgrounds and from the different parts of the country and all are calling for an immediate ceasefire in gaza and an end to the escalating conflict in the middle east. i spoke to people here and there is a sense of anger and frustration, but really have helplessness at the situation. 0ne helplessness at the situation. one of the women i spoke to

said she had palestinian family who have been killed in gaza. it took about a0 minutes as we bought two miles from russell square to hear. there is a large stage behind me in a giant screen where a number of people are giving speeches over the course of the afternoon. we are expecting the former labour leaderjeremy corbyn here later this afternoon and a number of other voices and other mps. there has been a significant police operation, while we were walking along the march, there were helicopters above us on the ground, hundreds of officers, but the demonstration has been largely peaceful. there was a slight tense exchange at one point where there was a counterdemonstration, people holding israeli bags, banners saying that hamas terrorists, but nothing significant. there have been a number of arrests, including two on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. police officers here have said they are monitoring the

situation and if anybody does cross the lines from political speech into hate, they will make further arrests, anna. thank you for that. our correspondent hair in central london. of course, i will be here in beirut through the day, my colleagues around the middle east will keep you up—to—date with this development and the fast—moving situation. thanks to you and the team in beirut. as the team says, will be back here at the weekend. the escalating crisis in the middle east began a year ago this monday, on october the 7th, when hamas gunmen attacked israel. it resulted in 1,200 people being killed and 250 kidnapped. israel's offensive against hamas in gaza followed. that has led to almost a2,000 palestinans being killed, according to the hamas run health ministry in gaza. it's believed around 100 israeli hostages are still being held in gaza, but it's unknown how many are still alive.
3:14 pm
over the past year, local palestinian journalists have been reporting on the war in gaza. israel has not allowed internationaljournalists from media organisations, including the bbc, independent access to gaza. the committee to protect journalists says at least 128 journalists and media workers have been killed in gaza since the war started — making it the deadliest conflict on record for journalists. hind khoudary is a freelance palestinian journalist in deir al ballah. hind, you've been reporting from gaza since october last year. first of all, just bring us up today on how you are and how the situation is there the ground. the situation is there the round. * ., , ., ., ground. before i start, i would really love _ ground. before i start, i would really love to _ ground. before i start, i would really love to mention - ground. before i start, i would really love to mention how - ground. before i start, iwould l really love to mention how much palestinians that have been killed other than only

2008, a war in 2012, a war in 201a, a war in 2021 and it has been a series of ongoing aggressions by the israelis. not only that, when i was ten years old, the blockade on the gaza strip started and so since then, we never had electricity, access and freedom of movement, but this war has made everything worse. triple the restrictions, triple everything that has been going on. reporting, gas with their ban minimum equipment, zero protection, losing everything you have, starting from scratch, telecommunications blackout, endless explosions, endless as strikes, everything has been so hard and the only thing keeping us going is the palestinian journalists that have been killed by israel

to report to the western media because most of the western media websites and organisations are very complacent about this and complicit about everything that is happening, using these voices in their reporting and articles and we wish that some international journalists would be here, at least some prominent news agency anchor wouldn't say that there are no journalists on the ground, for example. it has been very hard because we are the only source and we are the only people that have access to take photos, document videos, report either print or tv and we have been doing this with the bare minimum. not even eating well, not sleeping well, i don't even remember the last time i had... i slept on a bed frame for example, orslap i slept on a bed frame for example, or slap with a

this was norwich earlier on. a little bit misty first thing in the morning, that's lifted away. we've got sunny spells and we'll keep sunny spells. further north and west more in the way of thicker cloud. but even across northern ireland, portrush and along the causeway coast, here it's dry, the rain staying out towards western fringes. there's some rain pushing its way through scotland, that's drifting its way steadily northwards, easing from parts of aberdeenshire. you'll see some brightness to close out the day here. for the bulk of england and wales, dry with light southerly winds and some sunny spells coming through, even northern ireland most of that rain should stay well out to the west. so in terms of the feel of the weather, not bad out there. 15 to 17 degrees quite widely across the country. through this evening and overnight, low pressure will start to push in from the atlantic. and this frontal system will bring further showery outbreaks of rain with it. it is going to be pretty hit and miss as we go through the night, but with the cloud and the rain around, well, temperatures will hold up quite widely into double digits. so, we'll start off tomorrow morning with certainly more cloud than we've seen today, and some of this rain down towards the south—west
3:28 pm
and into wales could turn quite heavy and quite potent. sheltered central and eastern areas will keep the best of the drier weather, still the risk of an isolated shower, but they will be fairly isolated, and temperatures pretty much similar to today. but this rain could be quite heavy and potent as it continues to push its way through the midlands up into the north of england to close out sunday. now, as we move into monday, low pressure is going to stay with us and we will see showers or longer spells of rain to start the week. by the middle part of the week, we'll need to keep a close eye on this area of low pressure. i'm sure you've heard us mention it has the remnants of ex hurricane kirk in it. at the moment it wants to move to the south of the uk, but there is a chance it could be further north. keep watching the forecast. once that low moves through, however, the wind direction changes to a northerly and it will turn colder as we head towards the weekend. so, a pretty unsettled

week ahead with showers or longer spells of rain, some of it could be quite heavy across southern england, and then colder into next weekend.
