as 33,000 striking workers are now voting on a third pay offer after rejecting the previous two. the seattle times reports that boeing's chief executive kelly ortberg has warned that the 38% pay rise on the table is the best that workers are going to get. union leaders are calling on workers to back it. they are seven week—long strike at two plants in the seattle area has halted production of boeing's 777 and 737 aircraft. problems of boeing are affecting europe's biggest airline ryanair. it has reported an 18% dip in profits in the six months to september on the back of a 10% drop in phase. after—tax profits came in at $1.95 billion. a healthy profit in line with its forecasts but ryanair said it would trim its traffic growth targets for next year to reflect aircraft delivery delays from boeing.
