7:41 pm
revered and feared across non—league football and in the fa cup first round this tonks torpedo knocked league one huddersfield out of the fa cup. # i don't believe that anybody feels the way i do about...# and since that goal and the giant killing celebration scenes were seen live on the bbc and went viral. his secret is now out wherever he goes. honestly, it's been so bizarre. the monday after the game, from the friday, ijust got people walking out just doing this and going, where do they know? but there's like, oh, what a throw, what a game, what? well played and all this. so yeah, it's been unreal, to be fair, chris. of course you can go on. people have just been having the odd joke and say, can you throw me this pasta or can you throw me this sandwich? decent service from him. definitely.
7:42 pm
beyond tom's, ariel's superpower is now the talk of the town and beyond, with fans queuing around the block to get a ticket next for the trip up the a38 to league one burton albion in the second round. and there's such an air of confidence and anticipation whenever their team, tamworth, gets a throw in and wherever tom goes. # tom, tom, tomks.# he's got no air. he's just it's fantastic to to be able to throw from virtually the halfway line to the far post is unbelievable. well, we're just ready| to see what he's going to do with it next. and that's as simple as that. it could be anywhere. it's my favourite player because of his bones, like mine. and now you can see that everybody wants to go. and the numbers of the people going to the game is increase and increase, and now everybody's just feels they've got something so they can all be part of. when the opposition kick the ball out, -

you think, oh that's great. we've got a throw in. and then tommy comes along. so yeah it does, it does get the crowd all excited. my dad comes in here after games after the home games as well. and there's fans in here. it's great. and then i walk in and i get the same the same reaction. he's playing football with his dad. um, he he doesn't take after his dad. he doesn't have a long throw. it did all start though, outside his dad's back gate at darlaston football club, 25 miles away, when he started throwing the ball while still at primary school. yeah. it's so bizarre, really, people say, you know, how do you do it? where did it come from? and i was like, i don't really know, to be honest. there's not i can't really pinpoint any anything. it's just i've been given a gift. i'll neverforget my head teacher, mr higgs. he wasn't quite looking at me. and the ball went by him because he was by the goal. and he says, you didn't just throw that. and i says, i did. yeah, he says, do it again. so i did it again. and that's my earliest memory, and i've used it ever since. you can see why it causes such chaos facing one of tom's throw ins,
7:44 pm
because they can travel its estimated 44 yards. and when you think you can hardly see them, they're on the touchline as he starts to launch one of his attacks, coming in all the way through a crowded box of defenders and the goalkeeper here on the line. it's like... oh dear, oh dear. you see? of course it does have to touch a player or a goalkeeper before it goes into count. but there and you can see that's why he's so successful with them. yeah, it's a little bit of a little bit of technique, a little bit of timing, maybe a little bit of work in the gym and stuff. but yeah, i'd like to see what you've got, to be honest. ready? one. two, three. i think i've probably doubled you, to be honest. mine hasn't even reach the penalty spot. we'll get you there one day. yeah. it's had an impact as well on the number of youngstersjoining the club's community programmes and volunteering to be mascots on match days. massively.
7:45 pm
it's lovely to see the players with the children and theyjust they kind of come off afterwards going, i want to be like him, he's my idol and they get so excited, which isjust incredible. tommy couldn't stay long with his team—mates as they celebrated his famous goal assist in the last round because he had to get back to his pregnant partner, lindsey. so we were all all the family that wasn't at the game were at his nan's house. and we were just watching as i do. i'll watch every throw. i think i nearly went into labour that day from the excitement, but no, it was a fantastic moment to to see. and now, this week, just days before tomorrow's second round match, baby theo tonks did arrive. another timely delivery for tommy, who, once he's finished his latest sandwich run, will be trying to terrify burton every time tamworth get a throw in. # we are tamworth two with tamworth, we are tamworth from the lamb. # a special delivery for offices

for western hills, here is lancashire underneath the cloud. best of the breaks in the cloud and sunshine to the north east of higher ground, such as here in aberdeenshire, of course for st andrew's day. tomorrow, we will be keeping the mild air. there will be some showers. some of those showers possibly heavy, especially towards the west, but also some spells of brightness and sunshine. this weather front gradually approaching from the west. we are keeping the strength of that southerly to south—westerly wind as we head through this evening and overnight. it will feel brisk at times through these irish sea coasts. bands of rain tracking eastwards, plenty of cloud around, some clearer spells developing across parts of western scotland into northern ireland, but temperatures do remain in double figures to start off the day tomorrow, so it's a mild start to the day for this time of year. and then into tomorrow morning itself, these bands of rain and showers keep tracking further eastwards, there will always be a lot of cloud across parts of east anglia for much of the day but some brighter skies developing for central western areas, another rash of showers, some of which could turn out to be heavy, across northern ireland,
7:57 pm
towards the far west and across western scotland later on through the day. but it does stay mild, temperatures again above the seasonal average. but just look at what happens on sunday night into monday. so our fronts clear eastwards and then we start to draw down more of the northerly wind and that will push down colder air from the arctic and we are all into that colder air by the time we get to monday night and into tuesday so there will be a widespread frost as we start off tuesday morning. let's look at monday, you will notice the cold conditions out towards the north and the west, a few wintry showers across the higher ground of scotland in particular, as that front gradually tracks its way further southwards, bringing cloud and some outbreaks of rain with it, but it will brighten up behind the front and you notice a clear contrast between colder air in the north and still that milder air hanging on for a time further south. so, widespread frost as we start tuesday morning, then we look out towards the atlantic, this band of rain, as it bumps into the colderair across the higher ground of the north in particular, is likely to turn to snow.
