welcome back. after 15 months of war, negotiators are trying to hammer out the final details of a ceasefire in gaza, with all sides suggesting an agreement is close. the israeli prime minister, benjamin netanyahu, has met with senior security officials to discuss the proposals, which have been presented to both sides. here's what we know about what is likely to be included in the agreement. it will start with the initial release of 33 israeli hostages — expected to be women, children, the wounded and the sick. in return, it's expected that israel will release 1,000 palestinian prisoners, including approximately 190

who have been serving sentences of 15 years or more. and an agreement would need to be reached on the future of gaza, including whether israeli troops can remain there. the agreement would allow israel to maintain an 800—metre buffer zone along its eastern and northern borders with gaza, at least during the first phase of the deal. it also includes provisions for israeli forces to remain in the philadelphi corridor — a strip of land separating gaza from egypt. let's ta ke let's take you straight to the bbc*s mark lohan, whojoins let's take you straight to the bbc*s mark lohan, who joins us now from jerusalem. mark, there has been so much talk, murmurings coming out of qatar every hour it seems. where are we at? .,, ., , ., we at? closer than they have ever been. — we at? closer than they have ever been, lucy, _ we at? closer than they have ever been, lucy, to - we at? closer than they have ever been, lucy, to reaching| we at? closer than they have. ever been, lucy, to reaching a deal but not quite there yet. there has been frantic negotiations in these final
