welcome along. we'll start with tennis this evening, because it's finals weekend at the australian open, but novak djokovic, who has won more singles titles in melbourne than any other man won't be there. he was forced to retire after the first set of his semi—final against alexander zverev with a muscle tear. the serb has won 10 australian open titles, and another grand slam title would be his 25th the outright record. he had heavy strapping on his left leg after injuring it in his quarterfinal, and — though he pushed zverev to a tie—break, he lost the first set and decided the pain was too much to continue. some of the fans, no doubt feeling short—changed, booed him as he left court, the same court where he won his first grand slam title 17 years ago. now 37, will he be back?

he's due to play indo heart next month. i think more importantly for him is that he says that even though he accepts he may never play the australian open again, after all he'll be 38 and a half this time next year, he's still very much wants to target the remaining grand slams of the year. ann said as long as he has the appetite for this life on tour, which can't be taken for granted at the that he still is very ambitious. i don't think this is the end of the road for djokovic by any stretch of the imagination. just deeply frustrating for him because he played fantastic tenets in beating alvarez and the common two quarterfinals and just was not able to give himself a chance you out last zverev. he knows these opportunities are running out even when you're is great as djokovic, this australian open and his one—time times before and perhaps wimbledon on the grass, has seen two realistic chances for him to win this one more grand slam and one of
