markets have pared back some of those loses, compared to its peers. quarter earnings on thursday. revenue was better than analysts estimated, even as the iphone and sales in china disappointed. correspondent, ritika gupta. revenue rose 4% to around $124 billion in the fiscal first quarter. the results show that apple is struggling to catch up in china, one of its biggest markets, with an 11% drop in sales there.

the first is that iphones make up about half there's an expectation that there is an impending users are at the brink of trading up their phones. but that hasn't happened. and it hasn't happened because there hasn't been an overwhelming reason for users to do it. that's the first. the second is you just heard is the china factor. china is a big market for apple and it's been steadily losing ground.

and services revenue for apple typically refers to revenue from icloud subscription, the app store, the tv plus, etc. very roughly speaking, apple makes twice as much money on its services than it does on its devices. so they stay around for longer and they spend more money on apple. but, as you said, b—plus, could do better. there will be expectations won't there, from current to have to catch up with al?

there is a misplaced notion that apple intelligence is going to deliver a blockbuster bonanza on day one. instead, you need to think of it as the goose that lays golden eggs. as apple intelligence becomes more prevalent in more markets, as more people adopt apple intelligence, they will realise the value, the benefits of that overarching experience. dividends over time, because the point of for apple, it's not about apple intelligence, it's about apple experience.
