the working day starts at 9:00 in the morning, we do not have such a large museum, and therefore it is natural that i am in charge of all, so to speak, branches of our activity, that is, this is the economic, of course, scientific and funds.

education i myself studied specifically in the specialty of museum work, my tasks are the coordination of the activities of the employees, this is control, monitoring the quality of the excursions. good morning, today someone is already on the excursion came, yes, okay, for now, keep it as is, and then we will need to discuss, we will revise the tour route a little and the control text a little, it will need to be modified, since our museum is still in the process of formation, the expositions often change.

is being formed, then the text of the tour can also change significantly, and over a fairly short period of time, and this also needs to be controlled, how exactly to correctly present these very changes, pay attention to the ceiling, you see the faces of the girls there, according to the legend - this is the first wife our owner, at least once every two weeks i try to go on a tour of one or two employees, sometimes it may seem that... if you work in such a wonderful place, then over time you will begin to lose interest in all this, it will stop admiring, in fact, this is not quite true. of course, all this is perceived somewhat differently, through a different prism, but this does not mean that it becomes indifferent, it just becomes a part of you, especially if you really care about your work, you think about how to make it better, what else can be brought in to make it even more impressive.

the place where we are is the zhirich palace and park ensemble, it once belonged to the bulgakov family, the bulgakovs are quite an ancient family, they have been known in the lands of belarus since the 15th century, and modest people are like this: palaces are certainly not built, if we talk about something so unique that distinguishes our palace from others, then this is of course the decoration of the walls, ceilings, first of all, of course, polychrome painting, that is, multi-colored, but no less impressive is the gilding, that is, many elements of stucco, many ceilings are almost entirely gilded, as for example here in the ballroom, that is, literally in lamellas this gold hangs down, you could say, there is a lot of it in the interiors. the palace in zhilichi never existed on its own, it is surrounded by a large park. this park, of course, has changed greatly over time, but now you can still see the outlines of those very alleys along which the bulgakovs

and their guests walked. the first world war began, everything the most valuable things from the palace were evacuated away from the front line. naturally, the palace changed its purpose a little. various, let's say, organizations were located here, there was an orphanage, a school for working youth, since 1930, there was an agronomic school, an educational institution, a good base was laid here for this, because the bugaks were mainly engaged in agriculture, during the war there was a german hospital here, the palace, of course, suffered, was ordered the greenhouse was dismantled by the fascists, but fortunately these were not the biggest losses that could have been, the palace was not bombed, there were no major battles here except for partisan raids, so the palace was preserved quite well...

the first restoration in the palace was carried out back in 1972-7, that is, at that time, of course , it may not have been very successful, that is , our restorers did not yet have much experience, it was one of the first restorations in belarus, but nevertheless it helped to preserve what was in the palace at that time, impressive kisonny ceilings, stucco, the upper part of the walls were still preserved. of course, the palace was essentially finished with the works, that is , significant restoration work was already required, at that time , design work was started, they naturally included historical and archaeographic, natural research, that is, some researchers worked in the archives, looked for photographs, references, documents of that time, some researchers worked on site, took

samples in order to conduct physical and chemical analyses, also large-scale and rather lengthy works, the restoration of the first stage included , first of all, the restoration of... facades, the interior spaces, unfortunately, were very poorly preserved there, so they were planned specifically for modern needs, the needs of the children's art school, the first launch complex of the second stage of this creation of the wing, also included the placement of premises of the children's art school, a large concert hall in the hall of temporary exhibitions of our museum, as for the third stage, here of course there was a very big responsibility, because a huge volume of original decorative elements, stucco moldings had been preserved, all this was to be... it is important to say that the state's attention was always focused on completing these works as soon as possible, that is, in 2018 there was a big shift, large funds were allocated for restoration work in the palace in zhilich, subsequently in 2020 our palace was

announced as one of the priority objects of the president at the all-belarusian people's assembly and this, of course, pushed, significantly pushed the work to be carried out accelerated. completion, of course, restoration work left its mark on our work for many years and even rescue excavations, when, for example, various... communications were laid, then the earth, let 's say, hid what had been hidden in it for many years, small pieces of ceramics lay on top in the earth heaps, we already had experience in archaeological excavations, had experience in contact with artifacts of this type, we immediately paid attention to this, we really wanted to collect it all, because each day something changes, and accordingly... we might not find these pieces the next day, so we collected everything as much as possible

and then carried out gluing work and these fragments, these are flower vessels made of clay, were made on a potter's wheel at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries. in many halls for skeptics, so to speak, restorers left so -called zandazhi, that is, for... so that you and i could make sure that the same materials were really used here, the same colors, some elements were not restored, that is, they were cleared of layers of later paint and left as is, yes, they are more faded, more dull, but they allow us to really touch history and understand that the restoration was carried out scientifically, that is, as it should be, this is not the designer's invention, but a historically substantiated design solution. of no small importance was the recreation of artistic parquet floors,

they have not survived to this day, unfortunately, because naturally, they were not designed for students to use them for many years they will walk every day, and therefore they wore out quite quickly and were replaced with ordinary floors back in the sixties, a design decision was already made to recreate the parquet pattern, it was recreated exactly as it looked in the 19th century, artistic parquet, it is absolutely different in different rooms, that is ... each of these pieces is made of different types of wood, like a mosaic , it was simply assembled, here we see one with a 3d effect, you could say, in the next room it is already brighter, more colorful with various figures, stars, meander ornament, in the next hall there is some other, each of them is unique, absolutely not repeated. in many ways, in making decisions about the intended purpose, about the purpose of the hall as a whole, were facilitated by the fact that ... photographs and some historical information of that time were preserved. this is one of those very photographs taken at the beginning
