welcome back to "the pulse." let's take a quick check on the currency markets. looking at a five day chart of the dollar. the dollar stronger, hitting a one-week high. this comes after goldman sachs brought forward its forecast for rate hike. that is sending the dollar higher right now. we will continue to track the equity markets and currency markets throughout the day on bloomberg. what we're watching for the rest of today, let's bring in our international respondent hans nichols who was in berlin. angela merkel will close out her visit to china today. what is your plan for the rest of the day? >> in a way, her visit was a bit of a victory lap. volkswagen announcing the joint ventures to much to new plant in germany.
