off to its early -- off its earlier highs. s&p futures are steady. thank you so much for being with us. >> we are off the property sector. they are leading the charge today. you can see the shares listed in hong kong. those are rallying on the latest property support measures. there is distress in the chinese property sector.

there are further support measures including lower down payments for homebuyers and there's a mortgage rules in major cities. what are traders you are speaking with hoping to see more from authorities? is this doing enough? it is a combination of policies, lower down payment ratios. this depends on whether there is more follow-through from beijing

and whether they can manually return to the market. >> we see xi jinping making some comments that the markets were reacting to. we mention whether or not this may be enough of the market. is there anything really new for the markets to get excited about with this recent announcement? >> this has been said over and over again by chinese authorities.

that was led by the front end. we have the u.s. consumers showing signs of weakening. those are some good hints that those two year yields could be screaming by. we have been had faith so many times this year. is this just another head fake? is the u.s. economy going to continue to hold up stronger? we put this farther and farther up. we see that weakness when it comes to the treasuries, those 30 year yields, those 10-year yield.

let's get more with anthony in nairobi. you been all over a lot of these issues. one of the top climate issues that african leaders are planning to focus on at this summit? >> think it will focus on what they always have. the promise to provide more finance or annotation mitigation. we will be pushing the currency on what that means. i think there will be a change.

they can provide a partial solution. >> and, we have talked about this. this is a country that is almost 90% forested. it has been really critical to this whole climate discussion around africa. the president was scheduled to speak at the summit. but he has been under house arrest since that military coup last week and a new leader is reportedly -- reportedly being sworn in today. what is the word on this? >> we don't know where the bonds climate emissions are? they were driving that agenda. they have been pushing hard to get a new form they are effectively keeping this intact.

the u.s. job market is closed. we did see some highs following a string of good positive data that we saw over the past few days in the u.s.. oil, we have been talking about. we have been seeing that will extended its valley and is headed for the highest level since november. there is brent crude oil. up about 6%. almost 7%. that is on expectations that the supply cuts by opec-plus leaders might --

it is nearing the end of its cycle. real estate in china is really front and center. especially for asia-pacific investors. if you look at some of those property measures that have been rolled out in the past week, they have been showing some intact. they showed homes as transactions surging. these measures are actually related to how there could be that cutting of the down payment home buyers as well as the encouragement for lenders to cut the rates on existing margin -- existing mortgages. this is all for the property sector in the country. they are leading the charge.

>> let's check in with the markets. it is a quiet sessions so far. the u.s. is on holiday. what is on investors' minds this week? >> there are three main themes this week. it will be a very quiet session day with the u.s. out. a lot of our minds will be on this deluge of corporate bond supply that we usually get in the month of september but given the fact that we have in inflation print in mid-september, we might have a lot of issuers rushing to get this done in early september. do we have a heavy week of bond supply? does that continue to weigh on the treasury market?

the next thing for me is those fed speakers. we hear from in of those this week. this is one of the most influential speakers. we hear from the new york fed president, john williams. he is speaking to bloomberg, hosting a panel. if there is any nuance that the fed wants to tell the market before this blackout time begins, it will be this week. did they possibly concede see the pause is on the cards? did they finally admit that? or do they keep this threat of an additional rate hike very much on the table? speaking of additional threat rate hikes from the ecb, she speaks at 2:30 p.m.. the ecb has been a bit more hawkish.
