and we are bargain hunting. we will see which stops may be ripe. first to simon who is in for sue. >> good afternoon. it is a 5th straight down day for the dow as things count down to the fed minutes. tech is weighing intell. financial, citigroup and heading the nasdaq. let's have a look at where we are. vicks which is higher today. reporting outflows from bond funds is the third highest record. let's bring in bob and kenny both of them with me here. before we go anywhere. credit to you yesterday for recognizing that we are in a

down trend and yesterday was a dead cat bounce. the dow for the month over the last month down 4%. because that is where we are. we are in august and september typically a weak time of the year. and now there are all of these issues. with money coming out of bond funds. not running into ecquities yet. prices are getting cheaper and they are getting ready to go in when we feel we have hit that bottom. half of the traders believe that the fed can't be too hawkish. the others believe we have to make it clear. the tapering is going to happen in september. what you see in the markets here. the ten year kwleelyield, as th been moving down the markets have done better throughout the

day. moving down is what moves the markets. when you talk about the fed do they have to announce that something is going to happen in september or is it going to be data dependant? >> current consensus seems to be more modest. some people are arguing for $75 billion and $70 billion. >> so goes on the confusion. thank you very much. tyler, back to you. jim, and jeff join us now from chicago to talk more about the fed taper. jim, you heard what about pissani said there that it will be a baby step kind of thing. maybe $10 billion. sure, i think it will go from 85 to 65. i think it will be with fairly strong rhetoric saying that if volatility starts to get

may be underway. directv's biggest draw could be in jeopardy and going online. >> well simon yesterday, among the things gadell discussed were the nfl sunday ticket package. the directtv deal expires at the end of the season. >> nfl is looking to boost that price. nfl has negotations with directtv. it should walk away with $1.5 billion.

istanbul skyline reflects cheap dollars now growing scares. interest rating are rising an a lot of those loans are in dollars. what happens to turkey and other countries when the cheap money drys up courtesy of the feds? peter lannigan is head of emergency strategy capital. what is the answer to that my friend? are you concerned? >> i'm not concerned over the longer term. the positive story is very much in tact.

they will experience troubles in the near term and that is what we have seen where their currencies have been corrected upwards of over 10%. we got the half time report in emerging markets in the past. >> in terms of etf's where would you lead us? >> i'm glad i'm in with good company. right now i would like to look at china which i think is attractive valuations and earnings growth prospects. over the past month it's currency was up and the china

etf was up 3.5%. when investors say that markets are falling down. my response to that is which ones are you talking about? chi china, that is not the case right now. i like that one. i like korea. the etf has been flat. relatively good performance considering what is going on in the rest of the world. both these countries have forward price earnings ratios adjusted for growth of less than half of 50% that of the us wherever i one seems to want the us. brazil and russia still have tough times to go through. have a great afternoon. thank you. >> in syria, we are watching a story very closely.

based on federal aid have not had such a good record on linking people to jobs. the question is how is the president going to accomplish these things? even though states and localities control education both at the public level and at the higher education level, they can try to do some carrot and stick incentives other things are going to require legislation and of course that is difficult in this environment but the president is out there pitching. he will go to buffalo, syracuse and binghamton and on friday he is scheduled to be with vice president biden there. >> all right john, reporting from the north lawn.

>> what is your customer acquisition strategy? >> we go to land lalords and th teams and bottom up these are landlords with 0 to 25 units who are looking to do stuff on their iphones. >> i have two questions, how do you make money who pays you and how do you sort of upcharge them and number two, who updates this listing and does the currency of the listing depend on the listing landlord and agent and how do you make sure that what i'm seeing is still available? >> we offer promotion of listing to the site. we get paid and because we own the data we can track it obsessively. we charge a monthly software fee

we are still captive to independent rates. the ten year, the bottom line, as the ten year yield moved down. the stock market bottomed out and started coming off the lows. you will see around 11:30 the yields started moving to the downside. not far from the highs of the morning. emerging markets still an ugly day. even as they are trading here. of course the important thing the market is closed and yet you can still trade these etf's here. important thing here is all of them to the downside. speaking of sensitive stocks here. it has been an ugly mug here for the utilities. we are starting to look attractive in the yields. some of these utility stocks are

tech. on fed day rick santelli is live from chicago. what would one expect on a day when transparency seems to be the call. unchanged. getting close to unchanged. all markets seem to have topped or reversed a bit. but it all seems to be looking for the same variable. what is going to happen in 24 minutes. the fixed income markets will slide through it. most important currencies. if you look at the euro? if you are looking at the dollar in gex, a lot of debate on those two mirror image charts.
