the trump administration is pushing its agenda for tax reform, including parody between corporations and small businesses with a top rate of 15%, but could the proposal point to what went wrong in kansas, where a tax experiment was recently reversed? kate is in kansas city, kansas, with what went right and what went wrong for small business there. kate >> hey, melissa, that's right. nearly five years ago the state of kansas went under a live experiment in tax reform as personal income taxes were reduced and got rid of them all together for businesses, like amazing smiles of kansas city, where we're live today, but the experiment didn't go as planned. the state wound up with a budget deficit in the billions and the state legislature earlier this year wound up reversing those cuts, making small businesses like this one responsible for retroactive tax payments for the entire year of 2017, and now entrepreneurs are figuring out what comes next.
