"mad money" starts now hey, i am cramer welcome to "mad money," welcome to cramer america. i am trying to make you some money. it is my job not just to entertain but to educate and put bad days like today in context
6:01 pm
call me or tweet me @jimmy cramer i always fall back on bullish themes the dow losing 380 points and nasdaq falling it is much worse at one point. remember the s&p was up 16%. nasdaq, some of these names roared higher. it was insane. look, on a bad day is easy to eye ball the stock that went up and maybe they're the screening buy for the year if you are jp morgan or hathaway and amazon, they're supposed to transform to change the industry i see pvh and calvin klein and tom tommy hilfigure and same with
6:02 pm
lululemon. those are taking off modest rallies, led by goldman sachs because this is a good time to be an investment bank. tesla jumped again why not? you rarely go wrong buying off stocks on a those on a down day. >> that's a short term idea. that's not what we are about at "mad money." we are fnot looking for stocks we cannot stock that can stand the stock of time. >> the year and beyond first, wall street is eager to have a divided government
6:03 pm
because they can't accomplish anything for the next year we got the two senate run-offs in georgia if that happens there is a chance that biden could raise taxes or it is pretty slim we don't like taxes if we like higher stock prices. stocks are up so much. in the new year it takes some profits. president trump does not believe he needs to leave the white house right ow we are doing an horrendous job distributing vaccines to people. the states have no idea what the heck they are doing. why should they? vaccine stockpiles continue to
6:04 pm
grow how is that is possible? some are expired before they can be used even though we have a series of shortage the news is frightening and transmissible stream is on the rise we can't stop it without a vaccine. the white house is dropping the ball here and that means the pandemic can last longer than we expected which theme can we fall back on. first, ecommerce, it is still growing and not shrinking. i like amazon and shopify. walmart's digital business is already well on its way. kos cost costco have been behind ecommerce this year is here to stay americans have tried they like it and they trust it it is a bargain. they're not going back and that's also forwarding
6:05 pm
stocks are a bargain, too. this is a new one for you. i want you to start buying the travel and leisure stocks on down days. i already told you i like boeing for world travel but uber and air bnb for the safer and cheaper alternative to stay at a hotel. air bnb is huge for the pandemic even when we go back to normal, they'll keep these customers and it will grow hard to believe this story is not already played out it is not. so many companies still think the cloud have something to do with the weather proposition is too good to refuse how about a&d? why not nvidia
6:06 pm
these are major digitalization theme names that are engaging take overs these are not going to close any time soon. people buy them in 2021. cyber security, we had all the major ones on our show we have cloud strike and i like them all they're all working in a world that embraced in clouds and digitalization business have more data to protect. i like nortan livestock. the 5g build out this is going to be huge almost all of the semiconductors have tons of 5g exposure qualcomm and sky works can be your place to order.

6:08 pm
to know. boeing employed 2 million people directly or in directly and they spread it over a ton of congressional district other potential china winners, how about visa and american express and mastercard they'll go nicely with the travel and leisure theme there is a bull market that means morgan stan ciley an goldman sachs. remote work is going to be the new norm it is working for employees. it is cheaper for employees and that's not changing. i still like the remote work facilitators zoom is updated. sales force.com, once it closes on the slack deal and microsoft going down badly and dell and hp and apple. you know me i standby apple.

ill o i would own it and not trade it. finally healthcare, a democratic white house means the affordable care act is here to stay that's great news for the manage care company which practically breaks the law j&j with being best for earnings and maybe the vaccines when they finally get it done. now there are plenty of one-off idea that works here you know i think facebook is cheap verses its growth rate the bottom line is the long-term themes that works the best you can buy it tomorrow or buy some more as they get knocked around the next day and the next they all do get cheaper as they go lower i want to start 2021 with some calls and i am going right to dwight in indiana.

6:20 pm
