that may not be moving a lot, but here is something you might want to pay attention to the transports often seen as a leads indicator the coming off a four-session losing streak. something for you to start watching real estate is looking solid up more than 20% in the past three months maybe not the real estate you think of that sector, right now, is being powered largely by things like cell phone tower makers. crown castle as well as data center providers. that sector has been on the move so, too, has oil oil continuing to hover at a two-year high. price of oil not moving a lot, but we touched $70 a few days ago. watch the oil stocks as well programming note i'm flying out tomorrow and the

your markets and money we have breaking news from washington, d.c. the biden administration's efforts to shore up the critical supply chain which has been pushed to the breaking point ylan mui has the breaking news >> reporter: brian, the white house is rolling out a government wide effort to tackle disruption that plagued the critical supply chains during the pandemic today, the administration is establishing a task force to focus on semiconductors and home building and transportation and agriculture. the goal is to convene stake holders to diagnose problems and surface solutions. the white house is releasing reports on the bottleneck of the sectors and plans to address them for example, using the defense production act to place $60 million to manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients in the u.s. and $17 billion for

advanced battery supply chain. and then the magnets used in electric and hybrid vehicles in the long-term, the white house is going after targeted threats to critical supply chains these disruption have resulted in consumer shortages and price increases and oefficials say the pose a national security threat. president biden plans to bring up this issue in europe later this week. they are not trying to start a trade war, but youuse targeted tools to reduce vulnerabilities. back to you. >> ylan, a lot of questions here these are big goals. how will we measure success? i can get the t-shirt in less than two months? what are the metrics we know to know if this is working? >> reporter: the administration likes to say it is using a whole of government approach and

leveraging convening power to get industry players to talk to each other the reality is there is not a lot they can do to resolve the current supply chain crisis. that is a private sector problem. they focus on what they want to do in the long run which is invest in domestic capacity and elevate this to the president's agenda so if they are successful in building the supply chain resiliency, you as a kconsumer would not notice it and you would go to the store and get the t-shirt and not notice a price change >> there is one possible solution here. they can say it is a private sector problem, but the reason we buy so much stuff from china is cheap any talk of addressing the chinese currency >> reporter: that did not come up in the report today

conferencing the companies who help you pay for those things joining us now is global investment strategist victoria fernandez. don't focus on specific things go more macro? >> brian, we are long-term investors. we are not chasing the market, but looking at the long-term effects. for us, when you look at a reopening trade, you are right we don't want to focus on the highly volatile names. names like peloton or zoom or retail names we anticipate we will see a quick pop in some of those names as inventories rebuild and people go out and update their wardrobe for work and summer like you mentioned, all of these things have to be paid for and transactions are happening more

and more online. we he e don't think that will ce post-pandemic. the consumer balance sheets are in great shape and they can take on more credit we think mastercard or visa is a great way to participate in the reopening trade without participating in the volatility of the pure reopening trade names. >> i did not hear you throw out american express or discover they have credit cards, too, victoria or do mastercard and visa with the back end better bets for clients? >> that's exactly it it is the business model transactions started within their network. they don't have as much exposure to business, obviously, over the last 12 or 18 months we haven't seen the business travel there american express is taking a hit. you look at capital one where

they are focused and have more exposure to loans to consumers we think mastercard and visa have a better business model our investors, longer term, that is the best bet in that space. >> we he like that victoria, can i ask a viewer question it is probably better than any question i can ask thank you to the viewer up nice and early or late. do you think it is time to start moving assets now you -- ahead of inflation i ask that now because i know you have a contradictory view than most. >> beside with the fed that most of the inflation we're seeing right now is transitory. we have base effects and supply chain issues elon talking about the supply

issues and what washington is doing to address that. we think we are going to see some of the inflation be longer term all of that comes from wage pressure we saw it in the last ism in the u.s. and bloglobal pmi companies have having a hard time filling the labor positions. companies are paying more sign-on bonuses. wages are moving higher although it is the lower paying jobs coming back online it tells you wage pressure is there. that should start to hand off. when it does, we should be concerned with inflation for now, we don't think the fed is going anywhere. it is at least next year before we see them taper qe and longer than that before we see any move in rates. >> we will put victoria fernandez in the lower camp.

loyal wex viewer do you remember our graphic from a month or six weeks ago we showed you the rundown. the 18 major things priced at or near all-time highs? we showed you those 18 because that's all the room we had on the wall sugar, coffee, shipping containers, lumber, corn, everything dare we say, that graphic and rbi we did on that was the peak. prices for much of that stuff on that wall have indeed come down in the weeks since ishares global timber atf. the ticker is wood, what else. off 10% from the all-time high of three weeks ago one name in the basket of stocks warehouse down 11% this month. some talk about shipping container prices and other metals not a lot. something to watch

it has stalled you know, bottom line, the president thinks the gops infrastructure bill is not there. if you talk to the state department of transportation and entities that really care about top dollars to rebuild america, they say the infrastructure bill is great, but what we need is reauthorization of the federal highway bill it expires in september. while the infrastructure bill is a big focus in d.c., when you talk to the states, they love the house's version of the 54% increase proposed federal highway bill and they like the epw with a third increase. love to get a infrastructure befo bill, but it is on the ropes we are definitely going to get a big highway bill which will get dollars to the roads faster and

you have really big companies in the base materials space banking on the future for infrastructure we have some great things going on in the private sector, but it is looking rosy on the infrastructure side. it may not be what is sexy and splashy as the infrastructure bill it may be a federal highway bill and they have really no faith in the big infrastructure bill effort it is a timid effort in their view they want a multiyear highway bill reauthorization >> you know what i think sexy is driving down the road and not having your car fall into a pot hole as i drove down the new jersey turnpike yesterday. the giraffes that would fall into some of the holes i love also when you come on, kathryn. you give us names we don't think about.

api group. will scott mobile mini never heard of these companies who are they what do they do? >> api group is a new publicly traded company they do mandated inspection and service work for public construction and commercial construction any infrastructure, you have to have a third party do the inspection work. if there is service that needs to happen, they follow-up with it it is an interesting company very fast growing. you have a lot of the same money backing from the majority dproup from over a decade ago will scott mobile mini if you look at any construction site or if you go to any port, any big project, you will see these mobile units there so it is really a secondary play and there's been consolidation of that industry

out new products from the developer conference on monday focusing on privacy and video calls. joining us now with reaction is piper sandler managing director harsh kumar. you see a lot of up side here. what is the stall in apple shares lately? >> thank you, brian, for having me on your show. we believe it has to do with the markets more than the fundamentals as far as the fundamentals, we see a good path for apple to continue to do very well as far as revenue and profitability and growth is concerned. the reality is they are in the middle of the upgrade cycle with the iphone platform. this upgrade will continue for the next two years

m then you have the wearables business they are trying to become a bigger player in health care which is potentially a $1 trillion market for the guys there is a lot of talk about apple car which is another multibillion dollar market that is the stuff that apple needs to move its needle and that is what they are doing. >> it is amazing goldman sachs saying health care technology is one of the favorite sector picks in the coming years that's on cnbc probe we talked about it on "fast money" last night. the service business is coming in $50 billion in sales this year whatever, the second business of apple is bigger than the revenue of most other companies in the s&p 500. do you think services gets the respect it deserves or does the

iphone overshadow everything >> i think the iphone overshadows everything as far as the growth goes, the reality is the phones themselves, if you take away the major upgrade cycle, they are not a major market anymore you see apple in wearables and health care. services does not get the respect in my opinion. the stand alone multiple on that business is higher than what apple commands then the wearables business. no franchise like the apple franchise. we have done service which suggests 30% people prefer the iwatch over everything else. 30% of the people own the iwatch over everything else then the airpod. we saw yesterday, apple pushes the bar higher the focus on privacy the focus on sharing the focus on health care and making things easier for

developers they think on the franchise businesses, apple is pushing the bar a little bit higher each year and season. then as far as new areas are concerned, we are looking at electronic payments which is wallet and such. they are entering into the car lot that has been talked about there. obviously the health care. >> bottom line, you remain bullish on the stock 160 target, is that correct, harsh? >> we love the stock we think the fundamentals are tremendous half of the company is iphones we are in the middle of the upgrade cycle that should last two years at least then the possibility of other things such as foldable phones that come into play. that is what the rivals are working on >> a five-year chart at 410% a lot of people have made a lot of money harsh kumar, thank you for coming on "worldwide exchange. talk to you soon

susquehanna. chris, how long can these trades go on? at some point there will be a price buyers will not step in. not this morning like options, i guess equity may have expiration dates. what are you yseeing >> we are looking at these meme stocks and trading out of the money call option. you talked about the volatility. typically stocks and volatility move in direct directions where you are confident in a stock, you don't want that volatility in the meme stock instance, investors are looking for volatility and big moves just like out of the money call option out of the money call options expire

meme stocks don't expire like we saw in january explosions in value don't last forever. just like a call option expires atsatome point, meme stocks wil expire you heard it from the amc ceo. i'm not sure about the stock at this level we are looking for volatility starts to decrease in the names. momentum chasing investors momentum is a great strategy moving on to something else. keep an eye on the volumatility levels that will tell you when the movs expires. >> 5:55 in the morning where is my coffee implied volatility it is down from the peak it is skiis still huge. what kind of number would signal that move is happening it doesn't appear to be now. >> like you said, 450% implied

volatility i looked at amc yesterday afternoon. it implied at 40% move until the end of the week. that is over the course of four days you know, in terms of what implied volatility will signal a stock come back down to earth. you don't get that movement, the momentum chasing investors -- like i said, momentum is a great strategy over the last year. momentum chasers will see the stock not moving that implied volatility level coming in. let's move on. what is the next one >> go back to the 40% move, chris. do we have any indication which way that 40% move will be? that's a big question. >> yeah. that's the huge move we don't have an indication on

that i think if you are watching the stock and implying a 40% move this week and you see the stock not moving as much to the up side and see volatility levels coming in, that is likely to be to the down side we have a clear trend on monday with investors getting back into the stock. stock moving up to the middle half of the week then toward the weekend, we see investors closing down on some of the long positions they made money on during the week as they head into the weekend. if i'm looking for a trend for the stock, that's what i would look for i look for first half of the week into thursday and we see more movement to the up side on friday, we see the stock pull back a bit >> great insight in the options market crazy moves. chris murphy a pleasure thank you for coming on. we end the show with breaking news. oil and gas.
