world of hurt. >> what did they tell you to expect why don't we go over what we think about last year this time? every within was terrified of higher tax rates third, given taxes supposed to go way up. a low tax in dividends benefits the wealthy. did those rates have to go up? that's what we were told, over and over again the drug companies becoming public enemy number one in washington and they're forced with borrowing with the government for lower prices like most country do. seems like a no brainer.

>> we are told that the bank would be punished with harsh regulations. small business would not be able to borrow. those things were not suppose to be a nightmare we are told biden would bring an end toz the merger. en ninth, we were told that the government spending and soared and interest rates would go sky high tenth, it would be diminished in an an anti-business environment we were going to have a bear market >> now, i told you not to worry
6:04 pm
too much about this stuff at the time but it seems possible if not plausible for most of course, all these warnings turned out to be totally bogus in reality we are now hitting record highs after record highs, there is no new taxes to speak of and neither even spending. at least not permanent spending. the ipo flows. as i told you and the democrat took the senate, it's biden, he's the most conservative senator, his name is joe biden let's get to the facts the unknown, glenn youngkin.

a terrific people booking their cruises f further and further out. they want to get out of the house. it has been a war-type of environment for people and it's time to celebrate and time to party and spend money, people are doing just that. >> let's talk about that because it's a phenomenon that i think you are one of the few people that gets. we did go through a period that was a life for wars. when those are over, people felt very good about themselves the kinds of trips that are selling well from what i can tell are the most exotic and exciting and verses sitting on the beach, having a drirnk and a vacation >> people talk about bucket list items and it became past day to talk about bucket list
6:18 pm
i got to tell you, people did come up with their bucket list yeah, we visited over 500 ports around the world and anywhere from a 180 days around the world cruise which sold out in one day when we introduced that in the spring all three of our brands have records. we are introducing a brand new ship, norwegian 's prima the pretty side is we have pricing power. we have tickets or people booking and we are seeing pricing power and incredible consumer demand for on board experiences. part of the pandemic, we kept on talking about people want to experience experiences, that's still true today point i will tell you what. i don't know if it's too early
6:19 pm
to talk about this we are standing on board, people are also buying stuff. our boutique are at record and so we are not sure whether this is a temporary phenomenon or perhaps a new trend that along with experiences but people are spending money and we are seeing it the economy and especially the travel sector because that was the one that was impacted the most by the pandemic i think we are on the right side of the pandemic now. more and more people are vaccinated we are learning to live with the virus. there are now medicines to treat you if you do get sick the regiments available. so, i am excited for the future for the first time in a long, long time. tell me that, it's not just that i feel good about it
