hit someone better than anyone. i'm the best boxer in the world. was it a rush? >> at one time it was, then it's just a job. >> you get jaded to it? >> very jaded. >> really? at the height of your boxing career, you were knocking guys out in 40 seconds. >> i know. i don't like that time of my life or the person i was. all that money and success i had, i couldn't get anything done. my kids never saw me. i was a horrible father. i'm getting so much done now as a human being than i could have during the time of my fighting career. >> are you surprised you never killed anyone in the ring? >> i'm surprised no one killed me either. i'm glad things turned out the way they did. >> at one point, you had a lot of money. >> i did. i had a lot of money. a lot of zeros.

joe budden. i want to talk about dennis rodman. this is the man who last week had his uncle executed for treason. rodman said, i love the guy, he's awesome. they accused the north korean government of unspeakable atrocities. what is he thinking? >> anybody think he's going there for free? he's being paid to go there. the moment the checks stop coming, i guarantee he's not going back. >> this is not the first time his judgment has been called in effect. i stick to a simple motto, trying to figure out crazy will make you crazy. >> right. right. >> his claim is that sports is a way of bringing people together. >> he is lying. i'm going to tell you right now, he is lying.

there's no way he cannot know what's going on. is he going to read this stuff and go i didn't know this was happening. he's not stupid, he's a grown up. >> if an athlete gets involved politically, and we don't like it, we are critical? >> we need more athletes to be activists. that's not going to happen. i have yet to see it. the 14 years i played nfl, good or bad, people have not said i'm going to take a stand one way or another. it's one thing to say we are going to give shoes to kids. it's something different to take a stance on north korea. >> i think people are going to be critical either way. i was in tune with what he was saying. my religious beliefs, i try to keep it to myself. it becomes very tricky at that point. >> off you have a lot of people

welcome back. i'm rachel nichols. in this topsy turvy nfl season, the dateline fins were overwhelmed with the richey cog knee toe bullying scam. a team that was in the midst of a four-game losing streak since the scandal went on a 4-1 tear. the dolphins control their own destiny. i spoke with mike wallace to ask

how miami pulled it off. >> it was a tough time. we had to stick together. a lot of people wanted to see us fail and bury us. we had to take it us against the world mentality. the guys did a great job. >> easier said than done. what were the conversation that is helped you refocus and move forward? >> enough was enough. it took away from the team, but guys knew we had to put it aside. >> you had a thrilling win over the patriots. now the last two weeks of the season, you are controlling your own destiny to make the playoffs. how good are you capable of being? >> we can be as good as we want to be. we have the guys that do it. we have to execute the game plan. we definitely have the players. if there's one thing we don't lack, it's players. >> you signed the agent deal

five years, $60 million. it's great for people to want you that badly, but what pressure does it put on you when you are the one with the big contract and the expectations? >> you have to be ready for that. tough know if you have a slow start like i did, people are going to be on you. they will say this and that. you have to stay focused. definitely a lot of pressure. >> minnesota, the vikings actually offered you more money, $76 million to go there. you chose miami. knowing what you know now, all the ups, downs, controversy, everything, would you make the same decision again? >> i don't know if it was that much of a difference. >> my source says your father, mike -- >> y'all can't listen to my dad. sometimes he goes overboard. i love my teammates. i love being down here. i definitely would make the same decision if i could do it over again. >> a big thanks to you.
