thursday following violent clashes. the confrontation came after an assassination attempt on a controversial rabbi. but as muslims observe friday prayers today, resurgents will be in place at the sacred spot known to muslims as the noble sanctuary and to jews at the temple mount. only women and men over age 50 will be granted to the site right now. the rabbi was hospitalized in serious condition. the rabbi glick has long pushed for jewish access to muslim holy sights, and sortly after his shooting, a group of jewish activists vowed to enter the disputed compound. israeli authorities briefly closed off the site to all worshippers. benjamin netanyahu met with reporters.

putting health care workers under quarantine after they work with ebola patients could undermine efforts to curb the epidemic. the group says some workers have already reduced their time in the field, worried about the possibilities of spending 21 days in quarantine after weeks in africa. one of those workers is nurse kaci hickox. new jersey put her in isolation last week because of a temperature that spiked at the airport. then it went back down. she hasn't had one since, but hickox was eventually allowed to go home but asked to stay inside. but, as you'll see, she's been going out. here's cnn. >> kaci hickox went for a bike ride with her boyfriend and they were followed by police all the time. the governor at maine is clearly at odds with the hickox's take on the quarantine policy. he says police only followed her to try to protect her. >> we just wanted to enjoy this

others tore down the parliament and set it on fire. the president is one of africa's longest serving leaders. he's been burkina faso's president for 27 years after taeking power in a bloody coup back in 1987. he has ruled an an authoritar n authoritarian. he's been re-elected four times, often obtaining a rather dubious percentage of the vote. the u.n. investigation identified him as a regional actor in arms and diamond trafficking. now to the united states. the police chief of ferguson, missouri, tells cnn he has no intention of stepping down. thomas jackson's department has come under intense scrutiny since a white police officer fatally shot unarmed african-american teen michael brown in august. the u.s. justice department is investigating, but jackson says he wants to stay and help the community heal even though his police department is under investigation.
