12:00 am
this is cnn breking news. a critical discovery, the crews have pound the tail section of airasia 8501 thank you for viewers in the u.s. and all around the world. thanks for joining us. >> we want to begin with this the tail section has been found and it holds the -- it holds the potential to be a major development. >> the flight box recorders are usually located in the tail section. we are going straight to anna
12:01 am
as we say, we are being cautious we learned from airasia sea tony fernandez, they are looking for the right hand side and we don't know if that is what they found on the that point. >> reporter: yeah look i think we have to be cautious inially they physically have those black boxes, they are still searching. but certainly, several hours ago, the head of the search and rescue agency here in indonesia made the announcement that they he had found the tail. they came across it at 5:00 this morning. that's when the sonar picked it up. at 10:00 a.m. they sent out another sonar that was then authorized that, yes, let's send divers down if in to the water to confirm what they had found and sure enough it was the tail. we don't know if it is completely in-tact and here in lies the problem. if it's not in tack then
12:02 am
perhaps the tube like boxes and the cockpit audio recorder may not be there. this is a as good as it gets as far as information and discovery itself certainly hope that we will now get some answers. once they pull that wreck edge-- wreckaget from the bottom of the sea, they came it across it via sonar and not the pings that the black boxes were emitting. that is important to note. but as we say, those black boxes will have the information, as to what went so ashlly wrong with airasia flight 8501 when it left here on the 28th of december. >> just last hour, i talked to an analyst that said it should not take too long for divers to
12:03 am
get in to that section of the tail and work out fairly quickly whether the black boxes are in there. what are authorities telling you about that process, what happens now exactly? >> well a short time ago, we got confirmation that diverers are had the water as we speak, they are looking for the black boxes, we don't know if the tail is in-tact or if they can get to the black boxes, if it's spread out to other parts of the debris the other parts of the ocean floor. they have been working against the current the currents have been strong and the weather has been playing havoc with the search and recovery. i want to play the announcement made by the head of the search and rescue team when they discovered the black boxes. >> translator: we have found the tail. that has been our main target
12:04 am
today. the tail part has been found and confirmed it was in the second priority search area. not in the main priority area as was reported. >> reporter: now the other new information that we have received is that another body has been discovered. that takes the total to 40. but we are talking about another 122 passengers and crew that are still missing. so for the families here that come to the crisis center every day, you know, they just want 51-- they want confirmation that their loved ones have been found. so by finding the tail they are hoping that if it's still in-tact, that it will have the passengers who they believe are still strapped to their seats now at the bottom of the java sea, they are searching the area
12:05 am
day and night to find this debris. hopefully then the bodies to be reported here so they can then be headed back to the families so they can bury them. >> indeed. the finding of the tail section is indeed quite a development. but so much more to be done still. many thanks to you joining us there live from indonesia. it's just after 3:00 in the afternoon, many thanks. >> now for more on the tail section discovery, we turn to jeffrey thomas he is the editing chief and managing director at airline ratings.com and he will join us from webcam. thank you for your time today, the discovery of the tail could lead us to the flight data recorders. it's unclear at this hour, not a guarantee, but at the least, what does this discovery tell us? >> well they said they discovered the tail and we saw
12:06 am
images, which is clearly the tail. the tail is also the vertical stabilizer which is what they have found. that is attached to the rear of the plane, or the tail if you like. whether that they discovered the vertical stabilizer and the horizontal stabilizer is unclear. it's the rear which is where the black boxes are. it's interesting, this tail if you like to use their terminology, has been discover theed away from the original area where we understand there were four or five large debris pieces. it's a bit cloudy as to what we are dealing with here. but there's a possibility here that the tail may have come away the vertical stabilizer may have come away from the aircraft in that violent
12:07 am
thunderstorm event that the pilot on may have been trapped in. >> perhaps this leads you to a theory that the tail detached before impact. of course it's all speculation a this point. we don't know the depth of the water. with he know three teams of five divers are in the search area there's also an echo sounder that is being used though led them to this object. considering it's monsoon season and we don't mow the depth. how difficult is it for the teams to get as low as they need had to be to answer the questions and figure out if there's horizontal stabilizer it seems that you can see avert cal -- you can see a vertical stabilizer here. >> many have been riveted to the image we have been showing. it's more like a north atlantic
12:08 am
storm. very challenging for the search teams and as you suggest we are dealing with fragments of information, all we have really is the bodies that were recovered and little pieces of the wreck, and a tail, a vertical stabilizer with a logo on it, and other than that we don't have anything yet. until we physically get our hands on it or a photo of the black box on the seabed, it's all still conjecture. >> with that said what is your leading theory right now on what led to the crash? >> i still believe from the information we he received from the indonesian air traffic control, for some had ep reason this pilot, this crew found themselves in a serious weather event. a thunderstorm and have lost control of their aircraft.
12:09 am
now, whether the thunderstorm was responsible for whether there were other problems with the flight control system tubes icing up we don't know that yet. but clearly the plane came down it's clearly in a lot of pieces therefore the impact on the water would have been horrific. i don't believe that a water landing was attempted. i don't think that the pilot had control of it. and it's possible. it's just possible that the vertical stabilizer broke away from the airplane before impact. >> good that we are getting more information and we are seeing more proof of the vessel. heartbreaking to see the pictures of the tail up close for the first time. jeffrey thomas thank you so much. managing director and editor and chief at airlines ratings.com. we will connect soon. thank you very much. >> we do want to turn now to
12:10 am
another developing story, this one from the middle east. more than two dozen people are dead after an attack in yemen's capitol capitol, we are joined jerusalem. what information have you been a able to pull together on this and background? >> reporter: rosemary the bombing took place outside of a police college in the capitol, 27 people were killed and dozens injured. security officials expect the number to increase because the emergency services were delayed in getting to the victims. no one has claimed responsibility yet. but witnesses say that they saw suspects fleeing the scene just before the attack. now this comes right as identifiers reduced the number of check points in the capitol, and the officials said if the check points remained the same it's unlikely this attack would
12:11 am
have taken place. the fighters originate from the northern part of yemen, and they took control last september. they come from a branch of shia islam. >> ian lee joining us there, many thanks to you. coming up on cnn, the price of oil falls below $50 a barrel. >> good news for consumers around the world. but it's spooking marks. >> what the future holds for a 7-year-old girl that survived a plane crash in kentucky.
12:12 am
12:13 am
12:14 am
well financial markets around the world are looking to rebound from a global sell-off due in large part to plunging oil prices. >> the markets finished mostly higher today, nikkei launched a gain. sagz a mark was up,. >> in new york the dow jones industrial average fell 130 points yesterday, it's the secretary triple digit drop in a row. the nasdaq was down 60 and the s&p fell 18 points. now what is behind some of this is the falling oil prices led to
12:15 am
significant drop in gas prices. u.s. consumers are paying an average of $2.19 a gallon. >> it is all about oil. this was the high point of the recent high point and the gauge reveals why pressure is dropping away. so let's see what happens. first of all, you have the u.s. fracking. the u.s. shale revolution. outputs increased by a million barrels a day if in 2014. the saudis refuse to cut production you will be well aware of that as well. that is one reason that pressure is coming out of the recollect ma. and you have opec, opec has decided it will will not chase market share. opec is in a mess saudi will not cut production. the price falls, because isis and fundamentalism should push
12:16 am
approximate prices up and iraqi exports are at the highest since 1980 and the oil price falls, the dollar strengthens and the euro is near a nine year low, you will see how it all feeds to each other. put it all together. serious issues now, you have global demand weak because economies are starting on feel the real pressure. >> all right, thanks very much. richard quest there. now, we can bring you this development as far as the price of oil, brent crude oil, just fell below $50 a barrel for the first time since may of 2009. this is a major development, earlier, just yesterday, it was
12:17 am
50. 50. 50 $50.84 oil, now less than $50 a barrel. >> and cnn's jim bolden will join us on where the markets go from here. >> and now to other news we are tracking for you. one person is dead after a gunman opened foir in a veterans hospital this took place in el paso texas. the gunman shot himself after killing a doctor there. a motive is unclear at this point, the fbi is handling the investigation. >> meantime police in turkey are investigating a suicide bombing, a woman detonated the ball, it killed one police officer and wounded another. >> and this comes less than a week after a grenade attack took place on a palace. a group claimed responsibility for that attack. other stories we are following. the u.s. said that political
12:18 am
prisoners were freed by cuba. prisoners are not being identified. the u.s. state department said they would like to see all of the detainees released in the near future. just ahead here on cnn, we will take you live for the latest on what divers are looking for now that flight 8501's tail has been found in the java sea, peek inside a time capsule that was buried for more than 200 years to find out what is inside.
12:19 am
12:20 am
12:21 am
. welcome back time capsule was opened in boston more than 200 years after it was buried by american revolutionaries, samuel adams and paul revere it took more than four hours to loosen the screws holding the capsule. >> i'm wondering how it smelled. everyone was so close. all the hard work led to remarkable findings. >> reporter: the box itself is actually pretty small, it's 5-1/2 by 7-1/2 inches. here are all the things that came out of it. some 220 years after being put
12:22 am
together in 1975 -- 1795. 5 different folded newspapers. 24 coins. one of them stretching inging as far back as 1962 and perhaps the thing most significant to a lot of people. this silver plate. if you are able to look closely, you will see the names samuel adams and paul revere -- they placed it under a corner stone and the contents were found in 1855 and the decision was made to remove it all, and conserve it and put it in a brass box, that was made for the occasion. the lid of the box was inscribed with the name of the maker and the white stuff was part of the plaster when it was returned to the corner stone. first, there will be efforts to conserve what was found inside
12:23 am
and then the items will be put on display at the museum it will be a chance for anyone the to see it and see a part of the founding of the nation. cnn. >> now, it seems that sony pictures is getting the last laugh. the north korean film "the interview" has become the best online earner ever. since the release on december 24th. sony said they have made over $31 million on internet sales and renales and thanks to people seeing it in theaters it is close to reaching the $44 million budget. the film led to a hacking of sony pictures the u.s. government blamed their government. but they denied involvement. >> it's a cheeky movie.
12:24 am
>> it is, and pretty crude. >> but they made their money back. >> they did. >> cold weather is gripping much of the u.s. and it will get worse before anything improves. bands of snow stalled the commute in washington, d.c. it caused major travel disruptions around the city. let's get more details on the temperatures and what is ahead. we are joined from international weather center and it's just brutal across the country. isn't it? >> it is astounding you look at the high temperature thes in some of the cities you cannot believe minus one, high temperature chicago. it's incredible and it could break records that are 130 years old across the region. look at the perspective out of the nation's cap the toll. the scene across the region as far as disruptions, some 300 flights delayed across reagan national airport. a couple of inches in other parts of town.
12:25 am
but the big story, 73 million people under wind chill warnings and advisories. 45 below zero not out of the question in and around minneapolis. there you go chicago, high temperature, that is minus one. notice it warms up to 13 and then drops to three. and tries to warm up. there's the freezing mark where it should be this time of year. even for their standard impressive chill. schools this chicago, indianapolis and areas of detroit, the schools have been closed in minneapolis as well. at least public schools all closed because of the brutally cold wind chills in place. any time the wind chills are in these levels five ten minutes and frostbite is going to happen. notice the jet stream dip thing
12:26 am
to the south. the wolder air is north of the line. south of the line especially across south florida, unimpacted. look at the temperatures. it is room temperature in miami, florida, and in atlanta, it has dropped to 37 degrees. a seesaw battle around the eastern united states where the temperatures are just warming up to the 20s. millions have been put in to freeze advisories. this is when we talk about protectioning the three ps. the pets pipes, plants. that's the story. when you are 39 in atlanta and, it can be dangerous. it's worth noting cold weather. we will have more news coming up up. , did you know you that
12:27 am
former pro football player ickey woods will celebrate almost anything? unh-uh. number 44... whoooo! forty-four, that's me! get some cold cuts... get some cold cuts... get some cold cuts! whooo! gimme some! geico. fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance. whoo! forty-four ladies, that's me! whoo...gonna get some cold cuts today!
12:28 am
12:29 am
thanks for staying with us here on cnn. searchers have now found the tail section of airasia flight 8501, and you can literally look at it right now, sitting on the floor of the java sea, the ail-- the tail carries the black boxes, it's unclear though if that is what is inside this tail. for more let's connect again with our anna she joins us live from indonesia, and anna we are 11 days in to the search for answers now a huge break through, it's only just broken
12:30 am
to us over the past few hours and i know we are starting to get more details on what was found and how it was found on. what can you tell us? >> reporter: yeah it's a huge breakthrough as you say, day 11 of the search and there were concerns as to whether they would locate the black boxes, we cannot jump ahead of ourselves but certainly hearing from the ceo of the airasia, tony fernandez, he said if it's the right part of plane, as far as the tail is concerned, then the black boxes will be in there. he is of course referring to the flight data record arer and the cockpit awedudio recorder and that will give answers as to what went wrong with the flight that took off from here on the 28th of december. now, we know that divers are in the water as we speak, let me run through what exactly happened. according to the head of the
12:31 am
search and rescue agencies that have been working around the clock with vessels and sonars trying to pick up you know, big pieces of debris sure enough that happened at 5:00 this morning, using a side scan sonar detector. at 8:00 they then used another scanner, it's called a multi-beam echo sounder. that provides a 3-d image that gave them a better idea of what it was. they then send down a remote operated camera and then the divers. it was when the divers got in the water at 10:30 a.m. they confirmed it was the tail of this particular aircraft. not all planes have the black boxes in the tail, but this aircraft does we are waiting to see if they located the black boxes, they are working to do
12:32 am
it. you know, for the families here this will then perhaps, you know give them an idea as i say, you know, some answers that is all they want. they want answers and they want the loved ones. the body of the loved ones returned on them so they can bury them. >> and anna the head of the national search and rescue agency who has been updating us all through the day seems confident that this is the sail teams confident in fact based on the information that we have got in to us that weather conditions may permit the divers to get back in the water and search more at this hour. but there's a very long way to go from here on out. we don't know the depth of tail this is monsoon season i mean what does happen from here? >> yeah look i mean they dispatched all assets in the region to this particular area vessels, helicopters and
12:33 am
aircraft they are now searching this particular area. this is a second priority area not the first priority area. which is quite interesting. so certainly all assets are now being deployed to the area, as far as the tail goes on. the divers are in the water. divers are in the water at this minute inspecting the tail. with it, they can access the black boxes, whether they can do that we don't know. equipment on vessels will move in. they will need to retrieve it and pull it out of the ocean, as to how long it takes we don't know. we are waiting for this information, it has sort of been trickled in to us but certainly this is a major development, great hope had that they will locate those blacks boxes. they will have to on download the cat a and listen to it and analyze it and that's when we will then know exactly why thiscrashed.
12:34 am
>> it's mid afternoon there, the divers will certainly is want to take advantage of the remaining daylight hours to see if they can get access to the flight data and voice recorders. >> well with it's worth noting that dive teams searching for the flight to 8501 have been dealing with rough seas. our brian todd shows us what it's like to retrieve debris and bodies from the waters. >> search and rescue divers aboard a ship wait on deck. ham strung by the weather. >> the current underwater is strong. it's at 2-4 knots. so we cannot use on divers or search ruvs. >> in those currents they are expending all of their energy and concentration just trying maneuver in those sorts of currents let alone trying to
12:35 am
search for the wreck in zero visibility. it's almost impossible. >> she is a former u.s. navy diver that pulled victims from the crashes. she said divers cannot waste time at the bottom they only have 30 minutes at this depth before they get seizers or other frighting occurness as. >> you are working in a wreckage that is full of twisted raiser sharp metal and then it is intwined of miles and miles of all this electrical cable that you could get caught up in tangled in, and then you would be trapped. >> then divers need to use knives like these to free themselves or their partner, putting their own life at risk. in the sea, where the visibility
12:36 am
is limited part of the wreckage is likely buried in to mud. they can bump in to a body before they see it. and it's hard and traumatic. >> they start to decompose, and you have to worry about sea life getting to them. you put that personal horror aside while you are on the mission and you do not think about that that is a person when you are doing a mission. all you are thinking about, i have succeeded the mission to help this family recover their loved one. >> bobby said that even experienced salvage and recovery divers get nightmares and other forms of ptsd she said counciling and other services are available on side-- on sight and they will need all the help they can get for the long hall.
12:37 am
>> oil prices have fallen below $50 a barrel and that means lower gas prices for consumers. but low oil prices are taking a toll on some countries around the globe and there are more economic worries in the eurozone as new inflation data comes out and the euro is losing value. we have more on this. jim, just how much lower, analysts saying that oil prices may go. and what could be the impact of the globally if they keep falling? >> well the exact of course is mixed, rosemary if we see oil falling below 40, you see it going below 30 you see the marks and the market decides it will not stop it will accelerate as we get below $40 a barrel you will see analysts saying it could go to $30 a
12:38 am
barrel. a lot of countries that produce oil and export it have based their budgets on higher prices. so they are going to have to scale back on spending. where you do see the benefits of course is consumers. now, interestingly, the finance minister here in the uk has called for the oil companies to lower the prices obviously in the pump approximate, but also for airlines to lower their ticket prices. because he said they are seeing huge benefits with oil prices cut in half basically over the last six months. you can see the balancing act here. we see benefits in one side but we see negatives in the other. and i think it's because the price is falling so quickly, it's why we have not seen maybe all of it feeding through except for in the u.s. where you see the gas prices falling heavily. ? and i wanted to ask you that very question with george osborne, basically pleading that some of those cuts are passed on to consumers, how likely is it
12:39 am
because we have been watching air ticket prices are not gone down that has not been passed along. why? because the excuse there for such high ticket prices was because of the price of oil. >> airlines do what they call hedging. they will buy their jet fuel well in advance. in other word they will pay for it much in advance from delivery. and they do it so they have a steady price. so they know what they are paying. remember, they are not paying the oil price, they are paying for refined jet fuel. it's a higher cost anyway. they would have hedged higher. had they-- they may be kicking themselves for doing it. i think, ironical, you may see the price coming through helping on airline tickets as we see the oil price going higher because they would have hedged at a lower rate towarder the end of
12:40 am
last year. >> so where might the markets go from here? i mean it's hard you don't have a crystal ball. just going by the things you are seeing and with your financial background? >> in a few hours we will get what is known as the inflation data for the eurozone, what people are worried about is in december we might have gone in to a deflationary era here in the eurozone we did see germany in december, just barely a bit of inflation. now a bit of inflation is good. we know that you want to see your wages rising a bit, you do like to see in someplaces a bit of growth because it allows companies to hire employees. when see them putting off big ticket purchases, it's not good for economy. you may see the oil prices falling adding to the deflation deflationary worries in the eurozone. it's filtering in and we are in
12:41 am
a negative spirals as far as sentiment here in europe. >> it is certainly a complicated balancing act. many thanks. >> mario cuomo was remembered hundreds gathered for the former new york governor's funeral. notable politicians including bill clinton attended the service. he died new year's day. his son called his father a fillpoet and philosopher. >> a girl fighting for her life is taking her case to the state supreme court in connecticut, and we will tell you why.
12:42 am
12:43 am
12:44 am
a 17-year-old girl with cancer is fighting the state of connecticut to let her stop key he -- stop chemotherapy. >> after two rounds of chemotherapy she has refused help. she is fighting the minor law.
12:45 am
>> she was in foster care and she agreed to do chemo if she could go home with her mother and then she ran away from home to avoid chemo and then came back after a week. >> the girl will remain in state custody in a the state hospital until the supreme court reaches a decision. >> the 7-year-old girl that survived a small plane crash that killed her family is back in her hometown and doing very well. >> good to hear, she is being cared for by family members in a hometown of nashville, illinois they feel a responsibility as well. >> the plane with tail number 89291 was supposed to land here at the mt. vernon airport at 6:22 p.m. on friday night. as you know that plane with marty, kimberly piper sailor and her cousin never understand
12:46 am
la -- never landed. >> the airport manager here learned about the crash from a tv station. he considers the 7-year-old's survival a miracle. >> that was of the lord taking her hand and leading her out and leading her to safety. that was 3/4 of a mile through horrible territory, and at night, in the rain with little clothing. it's cold. i mean, how else do you explain that? >> as this community prepares to bury one of its own families the grief that many feel in nashville, illinois is only surpassed by a greater sense is of responsibility. to take care of sailor. their pastor said she is in good care of her extended family. >> when she is ready and her family is ready to i guess, reintroduce her to the community. i know the community, being as warm and loving and inviting will welcome her back and loving
12:47 am
arms. i know her -- i'm sure her teachers at the grade school and her friends and her friends over there are ready to have her back. >> what i think of her, i think of piper and they were always together. and that's a very hard reality to accept. that is something that we are going have to prepare for and again, we will rally around saylor. >> the superintendent that the girls attended knows the ahead will be challenging. as she comes to terms with how different her life will be. after what they went through, they remain hopeful. >> when you really step back and take a look you have to believe there's a greater purpose for her, she is going to go on to do great things and affect people in a very positive way. >> george howell cnn, nashville, illinois. >> she is an extraordinary little girl. there was a fund set up to help her as she navigates her life
12:48 am
moving forward and you can find out more about it at cnn.com/impact. >> now, snow is blanketing parts of the middle east right now. schools were closed in istanbul as heavy snow fell the there and ground and air transportation came to a standstill in cities in the region. authorities are urging people to use public transportation to cut down on accidents on the roads. >> extreme weather in turkey and parts of the middle east. we go on see how bad the temperatures will get and how long the people will suffer through the conditions. >> it will last through the weekend. it will be at least several days before we see improvement. 20 flights have been delayed in istanbul. now, on wednesday, the storm
12:49 am
system is pushing through on this to syria and portions on of jordan on in to israel. some models are saying 10, 25 centimeters. so much of what will come down will be in the frozen variety and some of the messages are putting 2,000 clearing vehicles to clear the roads. and 2,000 officials out there, as well working on hand and foot there to remove some of the snow from the image pr roadways. here you go here is the perspective, blizzard like conditions. as you imagination. a lot of accidents across the region are. and when you move away from this out towards portions of the middle east you see the refuges that are displaced in the region here is the weather, you see the satellite imaginary, the snow showers are beginning to
12:50 am
fall in portions of lebanon, that is hire elevation, so conditions will be very rough for the people in the shelters. a lot of the tents, mistake shift shelters you see tires and weight on top to keep the top ones down. and the winds will be howling across here as well. anything above 500 meters will be prevalent. so certainly not good news when it comes to starting 2015 across this region. wind chills should make it cold the next couple of days and around western europe on we have another system knocking on the door step if your travel plans will take you to london and paris, there are delays. 45 minutes on of delay in paris because of fog across the region.
12:51 am
12:52 am
12:53 am
let's update you now on the top story development, crews have now pound the tail section of airasia flight 8501. >> the planes flight data and voice recorders, the so-called black boxes are normally located in the tail section right side but searchers are not certain if they have found the full tail the right side of the tail section and the black boxes may still be missing. >> let's get you to vegas, sony is creating a bit of a buzz with the new walkman, unveiled at the
12:54 am
knew consumer electronics show. it's called the zx-2. it plays songs at a super high resolution. what does that mean? >> it comes with 128 gbs of storage which is enough to hold about 2,000 songs. the walkman will be available this spring and comes with a hefty price tag just over $1100. >> ouch. >> there you go and also unveiled a drone that can follow and film you wherever you go it's called the airdog and comes equipped with a go-pro action camera. you simply get it up in the a air and it uses a wrist band that acts as an invisible leash.
12:55 am
>> what is the advantage that your drone has over other drones. the main thing is you do not need to have skills to control it. you have a leash, you push a button and you are ready to go. we have a wide range of sensors inside starting from gps and other measurements. we are use -- we use the measurements to predict your movement. >> it will premier for $1300. >> options for everyone. >> that sounds like a bad idea. >> and it's easy to stop it. >> who knows. >> all right, here is something that might be called to film with that he drone. i think so. two dare devils attempting one of the toughest free climbs in the world here in the u.s. >> we caught them hanging out about half way up a 914 meter
12:56 am
cliff. >> don't look down don't look up. you are looking at climbers who have fallen. or something called the vertical rock formation in yosemite national park. >> yesterday, was day eight. >> it's easy to lose track of time when you are climbing at 3,000 feet. a free climb. meaning using your hands and feet and finding little ledges. occasionally jumping from hold to hold, using ropes not to climb but to catch you when you fall. after several years of planning and training tommy and kevin living their dream, actually they do their dreaming on the wall. each night, when they pitch their tents suspended. >> there's a crazy arctic wind storm happening today. >> it's getting pretty rowdy. >> kevin and tommy chose to
12:57 am
climb in winter so their hands will not sweat. and there will be more friction. wonder why kevin is staring at their hands? >> our skin can -- our skin took a beating. >> tommy wakes up twice a night to apply location -- apply lotion to their hands. they sand their finger tips to keep them smooth. they have gone over the hardest pitch, pitch 14. >> it kind of gives me fits. you will feel fine and then your foot will just unexpectedly pop off. >> they estimate the climb will take two weeks. what is on the menu up there? >> abreakfast sandwich -- >> you are going to eat with those fingers? >> thanks for watching cnn,
