rosa flores joins us from the vigil. >>. >> what's happening is people are lining the street. if you look closely, you'll also see that there's a lot of raw enforcement here. and fla's a part of the law enforcement effort in this community to try to find these three suspecteds. now, what's more important is these people cannot mourn in peace.

rosa, appreciate that. >> commander, what is the latest on the search tonight? >> new leads are coming in. every several minutes from a variety of soeshl media, phone calls, individual community walking into the police station lobby. we've got approximate ly 25-130 local officers following up on these leeds. we feel like we are making some progress.

unfortunately, we haven't apprehended anyone. >> commander, are you going on the belief that they still couldn't cross sfat lines? there's always a possibility of that. there is a tendency that people do hide in place.

there is a theory on our end that there is that possibility. >> can you talk about the challenges you're facing in that search? beyond just the lack of a clear identity on the suspecteds. the area itsz, it seems like there's a great siert. >> there is. there's an unbelievable amount of resources to deploy.

we had 49 canine unitings in the area. also, relate the community know here we're keeping them safe. make sure they're safe and follow up on any leads and turn those over to the major crime task force. >> commander, there have been conflicting reports. i want to see if you can confir where the lieutenant's gun is? >> unfortunately, this is an on going investigation and i poichbted out earlier those are facts that we have to hold tiekt. >> sure, understand that.

there were also reports of surveillance video? >> we have we acquired a video today from a truck driver. we're collecting that video. we're consolidating all of that.

first of all, we want to plak sure that we tell everybody that we stayed out of the two mile radius. i can tell you we were 500 feet above the ground. here, what we saw was dense woods surrounding homes. there was some neighborhoods that it was hard to make out the roofs. so you can imagine the officers going through those backyards from neighborhood to neighborhood, maybe from house-to-house and having to knock on the door to ask someone a question. and then the thick brush. and we saw a chain of inlet that is connected to the lake.

i can really understand how hard it was yesterday. >> we spoke yesterday about the angerer viety in the community. we understand that there's an active man hunt going on. is there still a sense of fear? anderson, you can understand why. everyone is kind of asking questions. are they from this community, are they from somewhere else? what were the circumstances.

there's breaking news tonight in the fatal shooting of a man in texas by sheriff's deputies. authorities are looking at two different videos, including one that some believe changes the pick which you are entirely. >> the video has been called disturbing and troubling. gilbert flores is seen moving around the house for nearly 15 minutes.

we also ought to get this right, as is our purpose in every investigative case. but a source with knowledge of the investigation says the video shot by a neighbor shows the suspect acting wildly aggressive and at one point charging at a deputy with a knife. according to the bexar county sheriff, the video is being analyzed to determine if flores was holding a knife. >> it appears he has something in his hand. again that's why we have asked the texas dps crime lab to -- to review it with an aim to try to enlarge and to -- to slow down the sequence. so we have a better idea of

that. >> authorities would not say if a knife however was recovered at the scene. but police radio traffic references a knife. dispatchers warn the deputies about the suspect. >> investigators say within of the deputies tried to use his taser to subdue flores but the probes did not hit the target. >> michael thomas is a delivery driver who took this video of the shooting. >> they kind of put his hand back. talking back and forth. and then, he put his hand out again. he stepped back. put his hand up. they shot him twice after that. >> prominent san antonio congressman. calling on the sheriff's department to, release the second video immediately. >> the sheriff's deputy. da. fbi have their investigation to do. it has been several days since the incident. there have been leaks about the second video. and the sheriff commented on the evidence in the second video. and i think it should be released. >> ed joins us now. the second video, police are

examining, not releasing to the public. what else have you learned about it? >> well that source close to the investigation who has seen the video also says that, in that video it shows, flores agitating. agitated. yelling loudly. difficult to make out what he is saying. there is also a voice on the tape. not clear it is a voice belonging to one of the police officers. almost seemed as if some one nearby, that flores was acting in a way trying to get himself killed. this video has not been reap leased publicly. not clear when and if that will happen soon. >> coming up next. randi kaye and a preview of her special report.
