and that client is sean hannity. they also shared an attorney. this did not come out willingly in court. coh cohen's attorney says the client asked not to have his name reve revealed. the name was sean hannity. michael cohen's client that we know of is broidy and the president and sean hannity. here is the way he explain it on his radio show after the news broke that sean hannity is michael cohen's client. >> i have known michael a long, long time and let me be very clear to the media, michael never represented me in any matter. i never retained him in the traditional sense as retaining a lawyer. i never received an invoice from

>> shimon prokupecz is joining us. >> the fbi wanted to review it and have an opportunity to discuss about what is privilege and what the government should not have access to. today the judge ordered prosecutors, the government here to turn over and make copies of various documents and some ten boxes. it was revealed today in court, the fbi now has with materials that they seized from michael cohen and electronic devices and hard drives. all of that has to be copied and handed over to michael cohen's attorney. >> well, much like everything else since friday with this

hearing. it has been a little confusing. since friday, the judge has been saying to michael cohen and his attorneys, tell us who cohen represents. there is always been this blurred line. i think this goes to the argument that prosecutor haves be haves -- they are not people that he represented. sort of a vague and sort of line here that prosecutors say it does not mean that these people are his clients. hannity denied that cohen represented him. should not release who their client was and wound up to be sean hannity and certainly and anderson, i can tell you having being in this courtroom when that happened, it was a stunning moment and i mean the audience and people sitting around the courtroom and the reaction was quite audible and many folks

were certainly shocked after the judge ordered him to release the name of this client, anderson. >> what's the ruling mean in terms of the investigation moving forward, it seems to be a delay. >> yeah, absolutely. this is a delay and the prosecutors did not want this and they have been arguing since friday that this is a stalled tactic by michael cohen and his attorney and the president's attorneys who have now interv e intervened and also want this materials. this prevents investigators from looking any information or documents that were seized in the raid. the t it is now up to the team that's run by the government that has no access of the information to go over materials that's provided to michael cohen's attorney. in terms of this material that were seized, the investigators would not have access until the judge decides on what they'll look at.

it is significant for them to get judicial review and as you have been talking about take longer. i was speaking with the source today, a legal source who's close to this case, look, the reason they got the search warrant in the first place leads you to believe that they are close to something. and, so we don't know what they are looking for was key evidence that they need in order to complete their case against michael cohen or whether it is confirming evidence that they would just have liked. if they were close and they want to secure this evidence as additional evidence then maybe they can go, you know, they can do whatever they wanted to do with michael cohen in the first place without waiting for all of this that they could continue to move. on the other hand, if they felt they needed this evidence to indict, then it will take longer and help michael cohen because

this is a process and of course, they have the opportunity during this process to appeal. >> david, as for the sean hannity revelation, he says he was not michael cohen's client and did you have any idea what it means on the traditional sense? >> no, first of all, my i thinst when i heard this that there is some where there is a scandal tv writer or "house of cards" writer, why diplomdn't i think this? th and the fact that they said he was a client and he was embarrassed to have his name released was telling if i were hannity, i would be embarrassed as well having gone off the rampage he did of the cohen business without revealing he was involved. sean hannity is not at the end o f the day a journalist, he's not a reporter, he's an infotainer,

can you imagine the folks on fox would held anderson shown up as a client in a situation like this? so, you know, i think it is a sticky, if he's not a client why did he lawyer say he was. it raises all kinds of questions. >> if you are paying somebody and uconn suyou consulted them advise. i don't know what the other stuff would have been. can you automatically say it is privileged? >> well, you can still be a client even if you have not paid the lawyer yet. sometimes you will get advise and you will pay later or sometimes you don't pay. the real question is were you asking for legal advise or guidance. the second piece is sean hannity had this conversation with cohen and somebody else in the room then it is not privilege. if they were talking about committing a crime or engaging

criminal fraud, it is not privilege. it comes down to that. >> he's asking for real is sest deal. >> you can be on either side of that. so i think if it is for legal advice, how should i structure or how would you think of this legal arrangement than this could be attorney/client related. >> he's essentially a spokesperson for the president. i guess though i will say and i am even surprised that he would not just to inform his viewers in the some 16 times that michael cohen have been on that we counted since donald trump announced a candidacy that he would not at least say i have consulted my consultants on advices over the year. >> yeah, sure you would expect someone to do that. i have gone to michael cohen for advice informally over the years

to you? >> it smells a little off, anderson. i have to agree with allan. there are ethics rules just as we as lawyers have ethic rules and it is universal among journalists. the radio and television and digital journalists news organization -- the international federation of journalists and all of them have a code you have to -- if you cannot have conflicts, if you do, you have to disclose. >> i don't think it is right and there are other strange things anderson. because hannity threw cohen tur under the bus when he said "i never retained him a" and cohen did not represent him then hannity switched and he did just what allan talked about. it sounded a little too school.

asked by the press whether we had a conversation. it is very important tchlt o, t area where i think the judge may have created a problem is when she categorically ruled today that the name of the client is never covered by lawyer/client. i have not read her opinion. there are exceptions. there are some cases where the name is regarder as lawyer/classified. if going to the lawyer itself requires confidentiality. this is a good example, fs there example, if there is a lawyer that only fixes for affairs, you don't want to be known to be associated with him. >> professor, thank you very much and thanks as well. stormy daniels has strong words for cohen.

>> i think you said yesterday within the next 90 days there is an unsealing of an indictment of cohen for a host of series offenses. we don't know if it is true and i am not sure what you are basing on. of what happened today, did that slow down your belief timetable? >> no, not at all. it is my believes and i think my track record have been good for the last six weeks. it is going to happen the next 90 days and it is going to be a significant domino to fall and there will be serious consequences from there on out. >> what was it like in the courtroom? >> you need to understand there was a huge build up to that moment. >> were the cohen's attorney resisting this? >> correct. >> they were resisting to disclose who the third client were and it was debated back and forth with the judge and others in the courtroom back and forth

whether it was going to be disclosed. at one point, michael cohen's attorney told the judge they have been instructed that if she ordered the name disclose, they would taken an immediate i peap. >> it was a warning shot by judge wood. she's been a judge for a long time and so she's not intimidated by that. the judge says i want you to publicly disclose it. the attorney from michael cohen says do you want to state it or rally or put it on a piece of paper. i thought he's going to put it on a piece of paper and it is kind of a hail mary. bullough a but low and be hold, he says the client's name is sean hannity. it was eight or ten journalists abruptly stood up.

there was a gasp and i was surprised. and at least we know why fox news have not been covering our case for six weeks. >> it is surprising and all the time he interviewed michael cohen ever said oh full disclosure, we have a long relationship with i ask him for advice sometimes. >> i am not a journalist and i don't know the standards by which you and other journalists live by. you guys are going to analyze this and what needed to be disclosed or not. i think michael cohen and sean hannity should have his own counsel in the courtroom. i think michael cohen's council some what threw him under the bus in the hearing. i mean that's my take away from it. i think it should have been handled differently. >> you filed an objection of michael cohen's request to stay in the daniels' lawsuit. do you have a sense on when that
