field. it's not just people crime of illegal entry. the administration is choosing to prosecute people but they are also doing it to people who present themselves at the border and ask for asylums. the government is saying we'll take you in and process your asylum application. we'll separate you from your child. it is really horrific. it seems clear they are trying to deter people to apply for

asylum. it is really a sad day. >> and this goes against supreme court precedent. 15 years old who is facing deportation. i mean even in situations involving permanent expulsion from school and things like that. that's things like underaged drinking and things like that.

so one court decn is that children can be put in deportation proceedings you think is wrong and it's really unprecedented. >> the treatment of children, it has drawn sharp response from the united nations. let's listen. >> detention is never in the best interest of the child and always institutes a child right violation. this should at most be an administered offense and does not warrant jailing children. >> look, the world watching here, is there a sense that attorneys like yourself will be able to gain ground or is the

tide simply against children? >> we are happy there has been so much outrage. >> many are disturbed by the way they tried to divide us andy vied us against one another. we are hopeful it will go somewhere. ultimately it is really on the administration to reverse course and to knowledge and follow very basic human rights principals and basic american value. it's what we are doing now.
