but the gym was the place i was at most in the two weeks leadish up to my sickness. and i was the first to get it in my office and apartment building, as far as i know. and that's why i think i might have gotten at the gym. >> so what do you think when you hear the governor say you're in good shape when it comes to coronavirus and that's one of the reasons he's resisting calls to shut down gyms? >> i think that's a big over simplification and not correct. when i got sick i was 44, in excellent shape. i was going to the gym multiple times a week to do high-intensity training. i was in the hospital almost three weeks. and very well controlled. i haven't had an asthma attack in years. but i wound up in serious

condition. and someone who can't go to the gym. >> so, the president has been dismissing the dangers and this is what he described. many of those cases are young people that would heal in a day. and i guess it's like 99.7%. >> what is your reaction? i mean, i think i see a reaction on your face. but tell us your reaction to that? >> i think it's ridiculous. is it true some people who contract the coronavirus are asymptomatic and don't have symptoms? absolutely. a range of symptoms? absolutely. i know many people, who even though they didn't go to the hospital, said it was the sickest they've been in their lives.

my husband never had to go to the hospital but serious severe symptoms for more than a week. so, i think it's ridiculous and really troubling to just call the sniffles. >> look, it's great to see you david. i think it's telling when you talk about how you're doing. essentially, you say i'm pretty well and go on to talk about how you can't go running and you can't workout right now. this has taken a toll and we appreciate you coming on and talking about your personal experience with it. >> thanks for having me, brianna. >> thank you, david. for thousand ocs of familie the coronavirus has had devastating consequences. we'll speak to one mother who lost two of her children in a span of 11 days.
