two horrible events that happened a year ago, the death of your son, tommy and the attack on the january 6th attack. talk to me about the challenge. how difficult is that? >> well, we lost tommy on december 31st of 2020 and that was like the end of the world for us. he was the light of our lives, along with hannah and tab thu, our other two kids. and i was drowning in agony and grief, alock with the rest of our family. there with the police said i was ess essentially cat tonic. saying i've lost my son, my dear tommy is gone.

my life is over. we were surrounded by a lot of love. my family and friends and constituents for several days. we buried tommy january 5. and the next day i had to go in for the, traditionally ceremonial transfer seat of power. my kids were trying to stop me and i said it was a constitutional duty. speaker pelosi asked me to be one of a handful of members to answer the anticipated objections to pennsylvania, georgia, some of the other states and i said why don't you come with me? and tabitha said i know donald trump has been asking people to come to washington.
