john thune saying he couldn't disagree more and mitt romney saying the same things. lisa murkowski, mike rounds speaking out forcefully. that's one side of the senate gop. others like senator roger marshall, he said he hadn't seen it. when i pressed back he said maybe they had been taken out of context, that we the media should be talking about something else. other senators like lindsey graham and ken scott refused to apes any questions about it at all. we did hear from former vice president mike pence who really said that this was not -- he did not support this, that of course you must support the constitution if you are going to run for and hold public office. one person that we have notably not heard from so far is house minority leader kevin mccarthy. he has stayed very silent on all of this. the there's a sweet from several

weeks ago in which he promised to read the entire constitution on the floor of the house when republicans take over during the next congress but that was before former president trump made these comments. nothing yet from mccarthy. jessica dean, cnn, capitol hill. later today a new york jury will resume deliberations in the trump tax fraud trial. prosecutors say it was a 15-year scheme to defraud authorities. >> on monday jurors september a note to the judge requesting clarl ri if i case on a conspiracy charge. the former president and his family are not on trial and the jury must set aside any biases for the trump's. fox chairman rupert mourdock is set to be deposed next week. it will happen by video conference. >> dominion said the network

so far they are releasing little information saying only the attack happened saturday night and a gate at one of the substations was removed. power went down at 7 p.m. the same time a drag show was set to take place in the area. police say so far they have found no evidence connecting the two. >> no motivation. nobody's -- no group has stepped up to acknowledge or accept that they are the twhauns have done it. >> reporter: this is what homeland security has warned about. the department of homeland security updated the national threat assessment bulletin november 30th sounding the alarm about the potential for attacks on critical infrastructure. the outages have left 40,000 homes and businesses without power and forcing hospitals to run off backup generators. power isn't likely to be restored until thursday.

inches. the central rockies picking up 20 inches of snow just within the last 24 hours just as max and bianca mentioned. winter weather alerts. winter weather advisories in effect for parts of the sierras and the central rockies and northern rockies. an additional up to a foot possible in the higher elevations. here is the snowfall showing you the pink across the northern rockies and the central rockies indicating roughly another 12 to 18 inches. isolated higher amounts are possible. as the system tracks farther east, that moisture gets picked up alongside the boundary and pushes across the central plains and into the southeast rolling up into parts of the ohio valley. it stalls out and we wind up with flooding potential. that's what's happening. we've already picked up 2 to 4 inches across northern alabama and northern georgia just within the last 24 hours. again, this moisture gets pushed in and will continue on through the carolinas, up into new

and raphael warnock and herschel walker spent monday making their final pitches to voters. thousands of people are still without power after an alleged gunfire attack on two electrical substations in rural north carolina. authorities say the attacks were intentional and targeted and the fbi has now joined the investigation. a website designer who does not want to work with same-sex couples has taken her case to the supreme court. the conservative justices seem sympathetic to her argument. cnn's jessica schneider has her story. >> reporter: the supreme court now poised to decide whether certain businesses can decide whether to work with same-sex couples on the basis of free speech. >> granting such a license would empower all businesses to offer what they believe expressive services from architects, photographers, consultants, to refuse service to their customers because of their disability, sexual orientation,

really, has been just inside the border of russia. case in point, we saw one this morning in the kirksk region. no casualties. that is what we would commonly seen. the ukrainians have not taken responsibility and said this is us for any kind of these attacks on russian soil, but even still, the two attacks that you outlined earlier, the drone attacks are ones that do not fit this kind of pattern. the reason they don't fit the pattern is they are located so far inside of russian territory. this is the kind of range that ukraine doesn't actually have, at least within its publicly stated arsenal of drones. a little bit of context, the u.s. has been the biggest supplier of arms to ukraine but one of the weapons that they have not given, they've been extremely hesitant to give to the ukrainians, are the long-range drones. two reasons. one reason, they don't want the

russians to steal the tech noloy but more importantly they don't want to target sites deep inside the russian territory. moscow will see this as an escalation of the actual war. it seems the ukrainians may have the technology to do this on their own now. at least this is what we're seeing from a ukrainian state-owned arms manufacturer. it posted on facebook a picture of a drone that it said that it was developing and wrote this in part. range, 1,000 kilometers. weight of the warhead, 75 kill low fwrgrams. we tell nothing to anyone, it is necessary. nothing has been successfully deployed on the battlefield and it is being successfully tested again and again. you may say it's not enough. that's why we plan to work 24/7. less than two weeks ago the

the u.s. state of idaho is wondering whether a college student may have had a stalker before her death. >> on monday police said surveillance footage showed two men following one of the victims at a local shop but neither are currently tied to the murders. memorial service was held for the students on sunday. the surviving roommates of the students wrote letters about their friends that were read aloud at the service. >> my life was greatly impacted to have known these four beautiful people. people who changed my life in so many ways and made me so happy. i know it will be hard to not have the four of them in our lives, but i know they would want us to live life and be happy. they would want us to celebrate
