>> mr. president, this is important, mr. president, how do you feel about the classified documents found at your residence? >> president biden declining to answer questions from reporters. a little far away from them you can see after the revelation that additional documents were found in his home in wilmington, delaware, providing ammunition from republicans asking who had action to that location in wilmington and to the private office where documents were initially found. >> well, we don't know exactly yet whether they broke the law or not. i will accuse the biden administration of not being transparent. why didn't we hear about this on november 2nd when the first batch of classified documents were discovered? >> so far the biden team searched the president's two private homes in delaware at his

office are and a think tank in washington and additional searches could happen at other properties linked to biden. paula reid is live in washington. paula what is on the table here of what they could be looking forgiven that they found these documents at these locations? do they still have questions whether there are more documents in other places? >> reporter: yes. and in a situation like this that is a problem. remember, they're not just looking potentially for classified material. they're also going to look for any other presidential records that need to be returned to the archives. sources have not identified specific locations that could be searched, but we know biden uses other ochs spaces and his family rented a home in northern virginia. when they found this initial batch of confidential documents, officials went to the former office and his two homes. again, there are other spots that could potentially be

searched and that's an open question that will likely go to special counsel robert hurt. >> the question who would be doing the searches initially handed them over to the state department. the trump administration initially searched trump's properties. who would actually do the s searcheses if more are carried out. >> reporter: there's no playbook for searching for classified information from the time vice president. a very small group of people who can actually do this kind of work. the biden team mace the choice. you noted, have his attorneys do this. both a private and one of the white house attorneys with a clearance. that gets real messy. a private attorney finds something. the person with clearance needs to come in, hand it off to the justice department. but i think it's interesting. in reporting we learned the u.s. attorney in chicago who originally was asked to do the review of that initial batch of classified documents, he didn't ask for additional searches.

he didn't conduct additional searches. the biden team did this voluntarily. he didn't even wait for all the searches to be completed before appointing a special counsel. that special counsel will likely have to confer to the team to see how to proceed, if they want to do additional severance. >> watching closely. paula reid, thank you. now to the wreckage from that attack in dnipro, ukraine. 90% dismant manied. survivors found at the site, 41 confirmed dead, though, and 4 of them are children. 25 others are still missing. ukraine's first lady elena zelenskyy slamming the russians at a speech at the economic forum in davos, switzerland. listen to this. >> >> translator: these were ordinary people at home on a saturday and enough reason for russians to kill. nothing is off limits for russia. as we speak in our city of dnipro people were still working

and sorting through the debris of a residential area, a house that was destroyed by a missile. this missile was built to destroy aircraft carrier. it was used in the civilian infrastructure. >> that was the first lady of ukraine. joining us on the ground, the death toll has gone up from that attack. what more can you tell us this morning, fred? >> reporter: yeah, poppy. officially this is still a search and rescue operation. ukrainians say that's being conducted here. in reality it's a recovery operation. really over the past day or so, only bodies, unfortunately the crews have been pulling out of the wreckage or what's left of that building hit by that missile, and since then the mayor's office has come out and said the death toll has actually jumped to 44 killed. 4 more bodies found this morning including the body of a child. needless to say that causes a lot of grief on the ground here and anger as well.

here's what we're learning. while rescue crews are still sifting through the debris, the chance of finding anymore survivors is verifirtually zero. a gaping hole where dozens of family once lived. you can see here, this building was completely annihilated down to the ground. the russians used a cruise missile called a kh-22. that is designed to destroy whole aircraft carrier strike groups, and when it hit the building, the building completely collapsed and buried dozens of people underneath. a miracle that anyone survived at all, ukraine authorities say. katerina zelenska was pulled from the rubbles hours after the strike but her husband and 1-year-old son remain unaccounted for. and this video shows happier

poppy, myself, they may not have to hunt as far and wide for these medications and some drug stores are changing policies. a hope, glimmer things are changing that demand is being met. walmart ended their limit for online purchases of these kids' fever and pain-reducing medications. cvs has a two-product limit in-store and online. >> we also, talking about this, talking about the rsv numbers, flu numbers, the combination how it was affecting hospitalizations. have we paeaked? how does it look now that we're in january? >> covid cases have gone up but flu and rsv has peaked. flu cases high, very high, in half of states. overall numbers are coming down. on average seen about 24 million illnesses total for the flu over

200,000 hospitalizations. 16,000 deaths. in that first week of january. still a little over 12,000 in terms of hospitalizations. vaccination rates are low particularly among kids. 48% of kids got vaccinated. that was findings from december. >> for what? flu? >> yeah. and 40% for adults. common for low vaccination rates and emphasizing how important that is for flu and rsv in terms of where we are in numbers, in general, talking about 5 out of 1,000 kids hospitalized were under the age of 5 for rsv. really a sign of hope for parents worried about those young kids that we are seeing the in ubs come down. >> yeah. doctor, thank you so much. okay. in sports this morning the cowboys eliminating the buccaneers from the playoffs leaving speculation about tom brady's future officially begins. the greatest quarterback of all-time struggled early and

house speaker kevin mccarthy harbored his own doubts about george santos' resume. >> when were you first made aware of some of these allegations around santos? >> i never knew about his resume or not but always had a few questions about it. >> he didn't raise those questions after election day writing that george santos would about great leader and conservative voice for the people and also didn't really raise those objections week after that hailing george santos's jewish heritage.

hitting the charts as breakup songs surge. who they're singing about, ahead. and reaching a critical stage for a group of people in one community just outside of scottsdale, arizona. suing the city to restore their water delivery service. cut off because of extreme drought conditions in the colorado river. where majority of scottsdale's water comes from. last year scottsdale's water department told cnn in an email they weren't being good neighboring allowing this community to temporarily use that water supply. well, the department said due to the current water shortage by law it "must dedicate its limited water supply to their residents." they started doing that beginning of this year and now there is a crisis for folks. a mega drought plaguing america's west, the worst in 1,200 years. look at this. images of lake mead, the largest reservoir in volume. you can see just how much water

levels decreased. the colorado river feed into lake mead affecting millions across seven states and in mexico. our chief climate correspondent bill weir is with us. asking in the break, the same colorado river crisis causing another issue in colorado? so walk us through -- i mean, can you imagine living think? can't flush a toilet, take a shower? >> sort of like they've been living as if hooked up to the water authority. folks in this town. 5,000 gallon tanks buried. a truck goes to scottsdale loads up the truck until they don't. until it become as point people start deciding who gets what. the old saying some attribute it to mark twain. whiskey for drinking, water's for fighting in the american west. that is the theme right now. way too many people, not enough water. places like vegas have really learned to conserve, even as population has grown.

vehicle this might be your year. especially early in the year. a $7,500 ev break. crossover for tesla is under $53,000. it will qualify for that. first two lines how much money to make less than the income limits to qualify for this free money from the government. the high-performance version of the model 3 sedan now $53,990 would qualify and also gm and toyota cars that now qualify as well because they've listed that inflation reduction act, lifted that 200,000 car cap for how many cars could qualify for tax credits. tax credits, lower prices. look at the chevy bolt. put that $7,500 tax credit it's like a $20,000, $19,000 car cheaper new. cheaper than some used cars. so i'm just saying 2023 might be the year of the ev for some people. check all the fine print. it's an interesting moment and
