around. and he would go down in history as a selfless champion of democracy. and i think he risks his entire legacy by holding on on as tightly as he's trying to hold on right now. it isn't it was interesting to me, jeff, that the congressman said that the full court pressure campaign from biden has in some ways backfired with some members it has, but i think also important to keep in mind it's seems to have worked with other members like the congressional black caucus and others. >> so that potentially is the more complicated step here going forward. how does the unwind some of that support should that happen? but again, i know i'm repeating myself. this is still president biden's decision to make. and we can talk about it too. we're blue in the face and members going to get that guys. thank you very much for doing just that this morning with all of us and thanks to all of you. of course, for joining us this morning as well. i'm kasie hunt. don't go anywhere cnn news central starts right now
4:01 am
the big test today, democrats and the world quite frankly, may get a definitive answer on whether the cnn debate was one bad night for joe so biden or something else. maybe the most important press conference of president biden's political career. >> and this morning, prosecutors calling more witnesses to the stand and alec baldwin's involuntary manslaughter it's literally trial after saying an opening statements baldwin played a dangerous game of make-believe on the movie set and new video showing the moments before an american airlines flight aborted takeoff after blowing multiple tires on the runway i'm john berman with kate baldwin and sarah sidner. and this is cnn new central the first news conference of the rest of this campaign, or the
4:02 am
last news conference of a fading campaign. by the end of the day, the world will see president biden in the kind of unscripted know prompt or setting that wavering democrats have been demanding. but will it be enough? senator peter welch became the first democratic senator or to publicly call on biden to drop out george clooney did to nancy pelosi has been speaking he encode it now overnight veteran journalist carl bernstein said this about senate majority leader chuck schumer he's frustrated with the whole situation, especially the way the white house, the way biden away the first family has dug in and has said that there's no so more discussion of this and brand-new just moments ago, and abc ipsos poll showing the race between president biden and donald trump still essentially tie the biden campaign may look at this and say, hey, that's good news, but look at this
4:03 am
among all voters, 67% say that president biden should step aside 62% of democrats or democratic leaning independents say he would step aside and even 54% of biden supporters 54% of biden supporters. >> say he should get out of the presidential race. let's get right to cnn's arlette saenz at the white house with the latest good morning, arlette. >> hey john. well, there is no question. president biden is facing a major test today as he prepares to hold a solo news conference, as he's looking to get his campaign on more solid putting some cracks in support within the democratic party. now these solo news conferences has been a rarity in the biden administration. this will be the 15th time he is holding a solo press conference taking multiple questions from reporters and it comes as allies have really encouraged the president to engage in these types but impromptu moments, press conferences are town halls to show voters that he is up for a second term and
4:04 am
can handle some of these impromptu unscripted type of questions. but it does come as president biden is feeling the heat from many corners within the democratic party, even as he and his team have insisted, he is not changing course and his remaining in this campaign through november. now, while there are many democrats still publicly backing biden there are others who have privately expressed concern and the number of congressional democrats calling him for him to step aside has grown in the last 24 hours that number currently stands at ten. with senator peter welch of vermont being the first democratic senator to call for the president to bow out of the race. you also had former house speaker nancy pelosi yesterday kind of trying to open the door to the possibility of biden potentially reconsidering his decision to stay in the race. there is also that major op-ed ed from actor george clooney. he was not just any celebrities. he is someone who hosted a key hollywood fundraiser or headline that
4:05 am
keith hollywood fundraiser for biden back in june and said that the biden he saw at that fundraiser was saying biden he saw the debate stage and he needed to step aside. there's also concerns among the donor class about president biden's path forward with one democratic strategist saying everything is frozen because no one knows what's going to happen. now, in addition to the president's news conference today, his key advisers will be up on capitol hill briefing, senate democrats that includes jen o'malley, dillon, steve richetti, and mike donilon, senate majority leader chuck schumer, inviting them there so they could hear these concerns directly from senators as they are trying to keep president biden's campaign on track, even as they are serious doubts within certain corners of the democratic party about his path forward in november lot size of the white house, arlette, thank you very much. >> sarah all right. >> thank you, john. this morning, donald trump is doubling down on claims. he knows nothing about the controversial and extreme conservative plan for the presidency known as project 2025. but one look at the roster of those who created it
4:06 am
shows dozens of his allies, former staffers, and x cabinet members deeply involved in the projects sprawling manifesto for overhauling the executive branch. cnn's steve contorno has the reporting for us. you look through this walk us through what exactly you found as you look through this list of names sara, with donald trump asserted last week that he didn't know who was behind project 2025. we decided to take a look at all the authors and contributors who are listed on products 2025, signature project is 900 page playbook for us trump's second term. and we found at least 140 people who were authors or contributors had prior experience working for the trump administration. now, this includes people who rose to the highest levels of his government, including six people who served as cabinet secretaries, including hud secretary ben carson, who remains very close to donald trump, as well as the cattle but in secretary in charge of the office of personnel and
4:07 am
management's that's russ vought, who i should also point out recently helped put together the rnc platform that trump approved. it. there's also several ambassadors he and pointed there are people who worked very closely at shaping his immigration policies, as well as someone who's served as a deputy chief of staff. and there are also more than 100 organizations that are heavily conservative that helped advise this project. we found many trump allies in those organizations as well, including his former chief of staff, mark meadows, one of his top advisers, stephen miller and we took this information to the trump campaign. they said, look, these people may have worked for donald trump in the past, but they don't work for him now, they certainly don't speak for him. the party platform as well as the agenda he has posted on his website is what he is looking to do in a second term, trump himself responding to all these attempts to link him and to the project 2025 by democrats on social media this morning, he posted quote i know nothing
4:08 am
about project 2025. i have not seen it. have no idea who is in charge of it. and unlike are very well-received republican platform, had nothing to do with it. he then went on to criticize democrats for trying to link him to some a proud of 2020 he files more, more controversial policies. that's not going to end anytime soon though sara. >> surprising, he says he hasn't seen it when most of the public has seen it, it is out there. >> steve contorno. thank you so much for your reporting. appreciate it. okay. >> they refused to accept the legitimate results of the 2020 election. they worked to up now bend that election. some of them now facing criminal charges for what they tried to do with that election and they're headed now for the republican convention as delegates and more new cnn reporting coming in. plus somber testimony continues in new mexico. today, prosecutors are seeking to highlight what they call alec baldwin's reckless behavior here with gun on the rust movie set. as the trial continues. and an american woman arrested in turks and caicos for having me

result. cnn's zach cohen has this new reporting he's here, he's here with us now. zach, tell us more about what you've learned yeah. we looked at seven key battleground states that were critical to the 2020 election. and who isn't be physically representing them at the republican convention. and what we found is that the list of delegations and some of the republican national committee people that were chosen in these states. and will be in milwaukee later this month are election deniers and some that actively participated in efforts overturn the 2020 election multiple individuals that are on these delegations or that will serve as the national representative of replace, replaced like arizona places like michigan from places like georgia, from nevada, they were individuals who served as fake electors. that was really part of a broader scheme by donald trump to try to overturn the 2020 election results. there now i'm going to be the physical representative for their state when the convention is held and when they held a point, donald trump officially as the republican nominee for president. now, i want to highlight who some of these people are because they really are kind of a who's, who of election deniers in one case in
4:15 am
arizona, the republican national committee man that was just elected to lead the republican party. there's named jake hoffman. he's a statesman senator he also served as a fake elector and was indicted earlier this year as part that state-level criminal investigation in arizona. he's accused of participating in a conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election results alongside the other fake electors in that state. and place like michigan and w represented by also fake elector named meshawn maddock. meshawn maddock was similarly indicted on state-level charges. there really speaks to how donald trump has remade the republican party and the rnc in his own image it's really interesting reporting, zach, thanks so much for putting it together. >> john. >> it is sentencing day for an american mother arrested for having ammunition in her bag. and we are waiting to see see president biden hold a crucial news conference as brand new polling shows that two-thirds of americans say he should drop his reelection bid i love the cnn is live from milwaukee as republicans unite behind our nominee, his vp, and their

cena, shark week this week and discovery and streaming on max a new read on the state of the race in a new abc news poll showing biden and trump are still running evenly among voters nationally with no meaningful post-debate change in voter and vote preferences. >> yet 67% of respondents said biden should step aside from the race that includes 62% of democrats and democratic leaning voters, and 54% of self-proclaimed biden supporters add this up. it's much more to consider as lawmakers on capitol hill are trying to figure out what to do about biden's candidacy still from their perspective, a team of top biden campaign officials are headed to the hill today to hold a special meeting with senate democrats to try and calm their nerves cnn's lauren fox is tracking all of this for us and that's not even to add in all that's going on. still among house democrats, lauren, what are you learning? >> yeah. there's really been this slow drip of democrats
4:31 am
coming out one by one every couple of hours through the course of the last four days saying that they believe that biden should step aside right now, that number is right around nine members who have said that biden should no longer be the candidate in this race. and last night, we got the very first united states senator saying that peter welch of vermont wrote in an op ed, we need him to put us first. he has done this before. i urge him to do it. now, he wrote that of course, in an op-ed in the washington post, but it just highlights kate that so many members right now are paralyzed about how to move forward. there's a small number who have come out publicly, but there are many more who have publicly said that they hope biden makes the right decision despite the fact that biden has made explicitly clear that he has decided to stick and stay in this race as the nominee for president. and i think that
4:32 am
that is really democrats trying to give him some kind of bridge to reconsider at this point. and that's really what you saw yesterday, would nancy pelosi's comments on morning joe and then her subsequent statement, she repeated that she hopes that biden can make the decision quickly, despite the fact that biden has already decided, i think kate, that this is a complicated moment because members aren't sure whether or not they should continue to voice these concerns so publicly, knowing that if biden and ultimately stays in this race, it could potentially put him at a disadvantage against donald trump. i think that that abc poll this morning is really important, but it also is a good reminder that these state-by-state polls are going to matter to members who are running for reelection in places like montana states like ohio, you've already but he heard that sherrod brown and jon tester privately in that discussion on tuesday's lunch, said that they didn't think biden could win. i think these factors are all going into this
4:33 am
race and it's going to be really interesting to see whether or not the biden officials, campaign officials who come to lunch today, whether they can change anyone's mind because i will tell you there are still a lot of doubts yeah. >> the state-by-state polls, what is the data that they can show those those senators in this meeting that that can prove otherwise from what we heard from michael bennet on cnn, which was, you can take down the house and senate with him it's great to see you, lauren. thank you so much, john. all right. with us now, republican strategist, matt gorman and democratic strategist joe trippi, while we wait for those state polls, what we do have is this brand new national poll, which still shows a tight race, but joe, when you break it down, you've got 67% of all voters, two-thirds of all voters let's say the president biden should drop out 62% of democrats and democratic leaning voters say he should drop out even 54% of biden supporters, joe, say he should drop out. what do you make of these numbers? what does that tell you? this can't
4:34 am
just be elise, there aren't 54% of alleles in the country to fill that number right now, jim well, i mean the difference is what they're doing. i mean, i would say days 54% of his own supporters say, hey, he's dropout, there still voting for him. that's why he's still in a dead heat with donald trump and the reason for that i think is in a different poll, 53% majority of americans were asked who's a threat to democracy trump, or biden? it was trump of majority said trump 53% of independents said trump was a threat to democracy. so i would obviously is going on here. we've known for some time hi, that the case against trump is he is a threat to democracy. the case that people have been making and concerns about biden has been his age. it's been a dead heat with both those questions. certainly the debate raised the questions about biden up but still in most of the national polls, because i think we are
4:35 am
frozen in that kind of frame of the race it's not changing much. i agree. the next thing here is look one of the things i don't think the press conference today is going to change much at all either. what i do think will either ratchet up the pressure on the president will be what these members are now pulling in their districts and in these states, well, were just talking about those polls are coming back. no one was pulling over july 4 weekend, you can't do that. i mean, it's like brought the numbers. so i think what a lot of them have done is waited until after the post july 4, gone into the field and those polls are all coming back now. and i would not you know, that's what's going to be reflected in this lunch today and congrats, either the pressure ratchet up, those polls, come back showing big erosion or do they show the same thing that the race is basically stayed the same matt
4:36 am
about the horse race there. >> i can't imagine a worse two weeks for a candidate than the two weeks that president biden is just that maybe the access hollywood two weeks for donald trump in 2016. it's been a bit add two weeks. and donald trump is basically still tied with president biden here. what does that tell you look, i actually believe that voters were ahead of the pundants and elites in much of the media on this, they priced joe biden's age into this. >> if you look, there's navy's news poll earlier this year, again, two-thirds or so, 70% folks said he was too old. i don't think there was as much of a voter reckoning with the debate. it might have calcified what they thought. and maybe there's some new people, the biden voters you talk about suddenly through into a panic, but i don't think all of a sudden it was a massive surprise to a lot of people that they're paying attention and i also think though that joe is right, i think what you're seeing is folks got out of the field
4:37 am
monday and tuesday, got their results late tuesday night, wednesday morning. and this is where the panic started, but i guess my point is this, right? if democrats really truly feel that the democracy hinges on this one election then why are they putting up the 81-year-old man who is clearly diminished and who is working from ten to four essentially according to axios, right? their words, their actions don't match. and so if they change out, maybe that might say something. but right now it doesn't well, if they change out joe, we happen to have a number here vice president kamala harris leads donald trump 49 to 46, still within the margin of error, but 49, 46 is better than down a point here. so what they be better off potentially with harris at the top of the ticket, joe will look, i think what you're seeing is this, how democracy works? i mean, this is a party that is not a frick, dozen pledge blind loyalty. 34. he can be convicted of 34 felony counts
4:38 am
yeah yeah. found liable of sexual abuse lie for 90 minutes in a debate and still and still, there's blind loyalty and they will support donald trump to the hilt. that's not how the democratic party works. no one's, no one's going doubts, raising the issue, raising doubts and void poisoning. you're seeing that nine members and senators already called on biden to step aside that's i think that's healthy. i think this is a healthy party having a real debate about the future of the party. and i, but look, there's only one person if you biden decides this either way, i believe the party will unify and move on. and yes, we have a big strong bench and i you know, but again, we can all speculate this is going to i think in the next few days, you're going to see either an

increase it's in pressure as these polls come back and people under the members of congress, the senators, understand exactly what the implications are and decide to openly, you know, to ratchet up the tension, or do we see it subside as it turns out, like the national polls that nothing really has changed. i don't have i'm going to answer to that, but i do but i'm not really concerned either way. i think we're showing democrats are showing the contrary. what it's like to have an actual party that's not afraid of its leader. you don't have to worry about getting on a list joe biden's not going to come back and get revenge on you. like like trump will. no one matt and everybody can talk about this, but they're not out there. they're not going to tell you that trump's not fit to be president. why? because who the hell wants to be on that list? donald trump's that's not the same thing. that's going on in the party right now alright.

>> joe trippi, matt gorman away next time, matt, thank you both very much. sara. all right. in a matter of hours, it's happened again this time in american woman busted in turks and caicos islands since having ammunition in her luggage. and now she's about to learn her sentence while on a mother's day trip, sharitta grier got caught up in this strict laws of that territory, bringing firearms or ammunition is strictly illegal in turks and caicos. she ended up pleading guilty to the crime earlier this year under political pressure from the u.s. after several americans were detained for the same thing, turks and caicos softened the penalty, the jail time but greer could still face potentially a long sentence in a foreign prison. cnn's carlos suarez is joining us now from miami what is she looking at as far as potential time in jail? >> well, sara, good morning. so greer's attorney tells us that sharitta is still facing the possibility of 12 years in prison, although if the cases against the other americans are any or any indication rather of

how things will play out later this morning. she probably won't face additional time in custody a, greer, as you noted, she pleaded guilty to carrying ammunition into the turks and caicos earlier this year, she was visiting the british overseas territory from orlando, florida. and just like the other americans that were arrested, she claimed that she had no idea that she had ammunition in her luggage. now, under the previous he is law, the mandatory minimum was 12 years in prison, though judges, they had the discretion to find what they called, quote, exceptional circumstances in departing from the sentencing guidelines, which is what happened with the previous cases involving the other americans. now when response to all of this criticism over all of these arrests, lawmakers in turks and caicos, they amended the law last month to say that courts have the discretion to impose either a fine, a custodial sentencing, or a mix of both greer, again, is expected in court later this

on cnn alec baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial during yesterday's opening statements, prosecutors accused the hollywood actor of playing make-believe with a real gun, while the defense argued the gun was checked and deemed safe by the armor the first witness also took the stand. >> one of the first responders on the scene, if convicted, baldwin could face up to 18 months in prison for more legal perspective, criminal defense attorney and cnn legal analyst, joey jackson. he has many titles. we love them all thank you for being here. joey prosecutors called the first witness and the first responders took the stand and was asked about whether or not baldwin obeyed orders not to talk about the case. and he says, no, he didn't. why is that a big issue? so what happens is sara good morning. >> good to be with you. what ends up happening is that in a case you need to protect the integrity of the proceedings. so if i'm the first on scene and i'm an officer, you want to separate witnesses, so there's no collaboration. so that there's no ability to otherwise come up with a story that may not be true. so you
4:50 am
witness go here, you go here, do not speak the issue. of course, was on cross-examinatio n, was that reinforce did you tell him once or did you tell him more times such that it was an oversight everyone is in shock. it's like, oh, my goodness, what's happening. so to the extent that baldwin did not particularly obey that order, you can't really hold it against them. he didn't know. that's the argument. >> and you're in this really stressful situation. we saw some video of him being very distraught after it all happened. and so that was brought up by the defense. i do want to talk to, you know, we throw around these legal turns a lot manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter. what's the difference? so what happens is in a case where someone's dead, people think murder, murder, you have to show intent. >> it was your objective, right? you meant to do it in this particular case, you're not talking about intent at all. you're talking about how did it happen? well, you were reckless, you consciously disregarded the notion that if you point a weapon at someone that's something can happen, it's a degree of carelessness. and so therefore that's the major distinction that's why he faces only 18 months in jail as
4:51 am
opposed to saffie, we're talking about murder, life without parole. it's the state of mind that's used by the person that's what he's faced. and it's such an unusual situation because this is on a movie set where it was guns were going to be used. >> it was a western and so that's why this case i think has a lot of people's attention. you have this very famous actor sort of at the helm here and whether or not in his mind he was he was negligent. the armorer has already gotten in trouble for this as well. so this is a really fascinating case. how to prosecutors intend to prove their case. there's using words, make believe well, yes, it's hollywood it's a movie, it's make-believe exactly. so it's a real battle of the narratives. >> what narratives, if you're the prosecution, you're saying, wow, how careless were you, you need to use these rules of engagement you violated cardinal rules. how could you point a weapon? someone much less happier finger on the trigger, much less depressed to trigger. so it goes off the defense is saying, hey, this is a movie after all, and to the extent that i reasonably relied
4:52 am
alec baldwin did on the weapon being a cold gun, cold gun. what does it mean? it means it's fake. and so if it's fake, it doesn't matter if my fingers depressed and what they did that is the defense, this is big issue about whether alec baldwin said he pressed the trigger right there saying, hey, it didn't matter. he thought it was a fake gun. he had the ability to do that. and at the end of the day, he was an actor and the rules should defer. it's not really a workplace where it's a real gun and so therefore, the defense is saying sour, he acted reasonably, which would of course avoid any criminality. that'll be a jury question. you've spelled out the case perfectly, you could you could be an attorney on the slide on this case, i feel why joey jackson. thank you so much for coming in this morning. always. thanks. >> i think i'm going to john john we're not want tyre rolling real-time reaction as american airlines flight 590 had to abort takeoff at tampa international airport, the faa says the crew reported multiple blown tires glean. no one was
4:53 am
injured. the only man has arrived falling into the patapsco river during the francis scott key bridge collapsed, knows he is lucky to be alive flores. was working alongside his friends, his brother-in-law, and his nephew at the moment of collapse and say, okay, i thought we might never get out says, did you pray, did you scream could he says he thanked god, asked him to take care of his wife and family, and asked for forgiveness for me everything he done. >> do you know how to swim no, sir. >> no, sir. about the says he floated to a piece of the bridge lodged in the river and started to call out for his coworkers alejandro not meet yale so as you just heard right there, suarez was inside his truck. >> he had a rolled down or as a window to escape and hung onto a piece the floating concrete or he waited to be rescued. new york congresswoman alexandria ocasio-cortez has officially filed articles of impeachment against supreme court justices clarence thomas and samuel
4:54 am
alito. the democratic representative says the recent disclosure that the justices received millions of dollars worth of gifts from people whom she says were doing business with the court without recusing and themselves is grounds for impeachment world leaders are arriving this morning for the final day of the nato summit in washington. and it is a critical day, one that ends with president biden giving his first solo press conference since the cnn debate. and it also comes as nato leaders are announcing some big moves together. secretary charis state, tony blinken, he announced that the much anticipated american made f 16 fighter jets are now headed to ukraine via denmark and the netherlands. and should be flying over ukraine. this summer. still, nato leaders also also put in china on notice, releasing a joint declaration that calls china a decisive enabled miller of russia's war on ukraine, joining us right now is cnn global affairs analyst kim dozier, and cnn military analyst, retired lieutenant general mark hertling. good to
4:55 am
see you both. general on the f-16s. let me ask you, being delivered to ukraine right now, ready to fly this summer? how much of a difference could these make well, they, they could make a very big difference, kate, if you're, if they're used corrected correctly, lots of people have been discussing this for months, but the better question is not will they make a difference? >> but how can they make a difference? and the reason i say that is because the f 16 is a multi-role fighter. which means they can be used in an air to air role shooting down other airplanes. they can use in a close support role, air to ground supporting troops on the front line. and they can also be used in a deep strike role, which means i can go behind enemy lines bombed targets, hit them, and just, you know, basically, disrupt the battlefield but i'm saying all those because it's one thing to get the aircraft. it's a much different thing to use the aircraft properly. russia has been anticipating this. they've been bombing ukrainian
4:56 am
airfields, trying to prevent that. how will you crane maintain these aircrafts? how will the pilots, if they've been trained very well, how will they conduct? these missions? how will they strike russian air defense and electronic warfare? so it's a lot more complex than just saying, hey, they've got the f-16s in ukraine now and they're flying overhead. there's a lot more to it than that very clearly. >> and kim on back to the nato summit and what's happening in the backdrop happen overarching all of this is everyone watching president biden and his press conference. what are you hearing from officials in town for this summit? i mean, our our european officials watching and waiting to see how the president does. it does as well every single european official i've spoken with has asked me what i thought was going to happen next with president biden. but also described, it's some of the main conversation they're having amongst themselves one told me it was like, you know, we've always watched biden as
4:57 am
he's gotten but an older like an athlete who just sort of makes it over the bar but now we've seen him crash and therefore, we all need to see him go a foot higher than he ever did before. it's a hard standard to beat between that and they say that the ukrainians are grateful, but unhappy with the level of support they're getting they didn't get a pathway to nato with certain dates that they could hit. a timeline. they didn't get multiyear funding that they were hoping for just a pledge for 43 billion a year or so just for the coming year and everything that they're getting they feel could be undone depending on how the u.s. presidential race goes. and that goes back to house biden going to do this afternoon at that press conference? >> yeah. thank you. say perfectly just how linked it all is in general. one other aspect of this is coming out i
4:58 am
think is really interesting. nato calling out china as a decisive enabler as i had mentioned, of russia in the war against ukraine, i want to play for you how a secretary general of nato describe this sean law has become a decisive enabler of russia's war against ukraine and china's support increases the threat russia pulses to euro-atlantic security and china provides dual use equipment microelectronics. a lot of other tools which are enabling russia to build the missiles, to build the bombs, to will the aircraft, to build the weapons. they're using to attack ukraine and our friend david sanger, he described it. >> this way, general, it's a major departure for nato, which until 2019 never officially mentioned china as a concern. and then only in the blandest of language, how big of a statement is this and what impact do you see it having?
4:59 am
>> i mean, it's a big deal, kate and for years, having attended some of these nato conferences i harken back even the late 2010 period. this has been known intelligence shows china is interfering with various nato countries. and when you're talking about china being a silent partner to russia providing this kind of equipment it puts them right in the middle because they want to be friend with friends with european nations because china give so much and has so much exchange with europe. but they can't have it both ways. they can say, hey, we want to be close to european nations. and at the same time support and illegal and a criminal war by russia within europe. so it is devastating that the secretary general said this. but it's something that a lot of folks have known for a very long time. and then the intelligence community yeah, kind of just elevating it, right in politico is reporting that if he wins, this gets to some of the discussions you're having with
5:00 am
officials that if he wins, donald trump is considering a reduction in intelligent sharing with members of nato that trump advisers have told allied countries that the reduced intel-sharing would be part of a broader plan to scale back us support with the military alliance what impact would that have? how worried or european officials about that clearly worried because they're bringing the concerns too political in this reporting every european official i've spoken to is worried about the possibility of a trump presidency they're worried about everything from trump potentially pulling the u.s. out of nato. that's the most extreme or forcing ukraine to negotiate with russia and possibly give up territory but also all the increments along the way not just intelligence sharing, but the u.s still keeps a lot of troops in europe during the last trump administration, there was a drawdown in those troops. could
