and has been debunked. there was frustration around that. i did talk to some people as well who acknowledge republicans and acknowledge that he fell for the goading that harris led him down. and remember that this was a key thing in my conversations with senior trump advisors leading up to last night that they advise donald trump on. they said even more than the issues, they were concerned about donald trump's tone and his temperament and going off on to these different tyrants really about random things that didn't relate to his own messaging and that is what we saw last night. it appears they were not successful. however a key claim they make and donald trump made this this morning, is that moderators were biased against donald trump and it was a three on one debate although i argue that often when you are attacking the rest, you are often on the losing side. >> thank you both so much. live from the city of brotherly love. taylor swift in her

debate? everyone seems to think she got under his skin. how is it that he let her get under his skin? >> i don't think that happened at all. in fact, i think president trump was defending himself from attacks and lies from kamala harris that unfortunately were not fact checked by the moderators in the debate. they fact checked president trump five times but did not fact checked kamala harris one time even though she repeatedly lied about president trump and his positions on the issues. she said he supports a federal ban on abortion. that is unequivocally false. he said he does not support a ban on abortion. >> caroline on the debate stage last night, i will say this. it was a position i had not heard yet from him, in which he refused to say he would veto a national ban on abortion. he was given a chance multiple times to say that he would veto a national ban and he wouldn't do it. >> he has said multiple times as well that he will not sign a ban on abortion and it is because it is the state right

president trump's plan to drive down healthcare costs, which have increased 30% under kamala harris's leadership as vice president, is to let the free market go and give americans more options for healthcare. that is the opposite of what kamala harris wants to do and healthcare. she was the co- sponsor of the bernie sanders sponsored medicare for all plan. she said she doesn't support that anymore. that was also a lie that was fact checked by the monitors. the radical healthcare plan by kamala harris will eventually force every american off of the private health insurance. that is socialism. we have seen this happen in other countries and it does not work. that is why people in europe and other nations around the world come to the united states of america for healthcare because we have better care here and president trump wants to drive down costs and increase the quality of care here at home and you don't do that by forcing people off of their private health insurance plans like kamala harris wants to do. >> she said that is not her plan last night. thank you for being with us. we appreciate your time. >> she set him up and he walked

about the level of immigration and the level of haitian immigration and ohio where they have not been able to manage the numbers. the attorney general said that this is not a migrant problem. it is a too many, too fast, nowhere to put people problem. the point itself that there have been more than 11 million illegal border crossings at historic high levels over the last four years is true. can you be too online? that is also true. >> isn't this fear mongering? ultimately, he is talking about black people and in particular, haitians, eating people's pets. and to a lot of people listening to that, immigrants and americans that were born and raised here, it sounds like fear mongering. >> it is fear mongering and there is an element of racism to it. it is gross. it is also incomprehensible to i'm going to guess about 80% of the people watching the debate last night. it is an extremely online right wing meme which by

50,000-dollar tax deduction to start up small businesses knowing that they are part of the backbone of america's economy. my opponent, on the other hand, his plan is to do what he has done before which is to provide a tax cut for billionaires and big corporations which will result in $5 trillion to america's deficit. my opponent has a plan that i called the trump sales tax, which would be a 20% tax on everyday goods that you rely on to get through the month. >> she is talking about the tariffs that donald trump reiterated that he would use. she did not answer the question, are you better off? should she have answered that question directly and then gone into her policies? >> i think affective debates are about explaining to people how you view the world and why you are going to do what you are going to do if you are elected president. i thought she answered the question effectively by going straight to small business which she believes is one of the beating

hearts of the economy, talking and concrete ways about what she would do for small business and then contrasting with trump who has said again that he is going to give giveaways to the wealthiest in the country. i thought she did a nice job lining up the contrast. at the end of the day, a successful debate is about using the time in front of the camera to connect with the audience in the way you want to and answer the question the way you want to. i thought she did a very effective job of that in the answer. >> what did you think about her answer in the end? >> you know, the economy is the number one issue in this election and that just wasn't enough. she felt rehearsed and memorized and nervous. it didn't seem to the audience i don't think to be capturing the problems that americans are facing and presenting a real plan. i thought one of trump's stronger moments of the night was when he said, her plan can be summarized as run, spot,
6:34 am

>> i absolutely support reinstating the productions of roe v wade. and as you rightly mentioned, nowhere in america is a woman carrying a pregnancy to term and asking for an abortion. that is not happening. >> kate, how do you think they both handled the question about reproductive rights? >> i think the exchange and reproductive rights was one of the best moments of the debate for, harris. you had trump there reiterating how proud he is that he put these justices on the supreme court who overturned roe. it was very clear who was at fault, who was that responsibility for the fact that reproductive freedoms have been taken away from women across the country. you had him reiterating that. and you had her pushing him on national abortion ban and whether he would veto it. he wouldn't
