leave you with this. color me skeptical, but you might want to stay away from walking under ladders, avoiding any opening umbrellas indoors today because it is friday the 13th the number 13 has long been associated with superstitions, but it might have been this film that made the date infamous in pop culture. >> dhruv god from the 1980s slasher film friday the 13th. but 13 might not be all that unlucky pop icon taylor swift in recent years reclaimed the number 13 touting is her favorite number and she might be onto something i was born on the 13th. >> i turned 13 on friday, the 13th. my first album went gold in 13 weeks also. >> thanks ever went number one. it had a 13 second intro by friday the 13th?
4:01 am
>> yes. no, no, no, no, no. but that was my first thought was i was my thought to be really sure about storm taylor swift as a permit, storm clouds always over my head. i don't need friday the 13th for back nine seconds after 7:00 a.m. so we have to thank our panel. >> thanks to you for joining us. i'm kasie hunt. don't go anywhere. cnn news central starts right now reporting from inside the harris campaign, their strategy to focus on impact over policy and the group of voters they want it to resonate with the most breaking overnight boeing workers are on strike, tens of thousands of union members vote to walk off the job today, a big blow to one of americas biggest manufacturing giant at war with the west of vladimir putin with a big threat overnight as president biden weighs giving ukraine permission to strike deeper
4:02 am
into russia. >> i'm john berman with sara sidner and kate baldwin. no audio, no air conditioning, no problem it was. >> central morning, the momentum high keep drawing eyeballs. >> that is the new final sprint strategy for the team harris headquarters as gun but that's kamala harris today officially passes the halfway point in her hyper speed campaign for the presidency, just 54 days ago, she jumped into the race just 53 days now, left to go soon harris heads to the critical battleground commonwealth of pennsylvania, more specifically, directly to county's donald trump won in the last two elections. and she tries to goad trump into another debate.
4:03 am
>> donald trump and i had our debate believe we owe have another debate reporter isaac dovere leads us off. isaac you've heard that how they're talking to each other about what this race really looks like inside the harris headquarters. how does that compare to what she's saying out on the trail? >> that's right. sara and piece up on our site this morning, but i get into there is a leadership retreat that happened at harris headquarters last week before the debate, where they talked about how still they do not see a one clear shore path to 270 electoral votes. obviously that would win or the election that doesn't mean that they don't see ways that it can happen. they say a lot ways that it can happen. but still this race is very tight and they think that harris is running close. some people think that if the election were held today, that donald trump would still win. obviously, that was pre-debate. post-debate, what they tell me is that that's still basically
4:04 am
where they see this. there's a lot of work that they have to do to keep this going, keep the energy and excitement high. and that's part of why you see harris talking about things the way that you did yesterday in north carolina. let's take a listen to that intends to end the affordable care act. >> as he said in the debate he made clear he has no plan to replace it. in fact, you're a member jazz up the supporters, get everybody really engage with the energy of this race and make it something that keep that momentum going from, like you said, the first 53 days of this campaign, which were for the most part of a lot of good vibes and sugar high for them harris campaign. how is the harris campaign though feeling specifically about the battleground states which they have been hitting very hard
4:05 am
yeah, look, as you pointed out, that map today, we're going to see harrison, pennsylvania, two stops in places that donald trump won. >> tim walz in michigan than he is in wisconsin. what they look at in this campaign now from the harris view is a possibility that unlike in previous presidential cycles, the last couple of times you will not see states necessarily move as regions wisconsin and michigan, pennsylvania the blue wall might split up in different ways. north carolina and georgia might act in different ways. arizona, nevada might act in different ways. why is that? because there are different candidates in those races when it comes to the candidates for senator and governor, those races, their ballot propositions that are changing things and they're just different things going on in those states and that shakes up all the calculus here. it comes back to what i was saying at the beginning of why they don't see that there's one certain clear path to 270. now, even though they see a lot of ways through potentially together they certainly think that the path to the white house though, does include
4:06 am
going through pennsylvania thank you so much. >> so donald trump, also on the trail today and he says he has settled the debate over debates declaring that he will not debate kamala harris again, here's his, here is his spin on it. >> so because we've done two debates and because they were successful, there will be no third debate too late anyway, the voting's already begun, yet he gotta go out and vote this morning, donald trump is right there. he's actually in southern california this morning. and that is where cnn's kristen holmes is for us. kristin. good morning morning, kate well, today he is slated to give some sort of press remarks, were not sure if there's going to be the generic press remarks that we generally hear from trump. >> and then he takes questions or if this is just going to be him rambling on and then leaving. obviously, it could be anything when it comes to donald trump. now what we expect to hear from them is a
4:07 am
re-litigation of what we've really heard for the past 48 hours, donald trump has tried to reset the tone, reset the narrative around the debates, as you said, putting his own spin on it universally, republican operatives every single ally that i spoke to said that donald trump lost the debate. they were disappointed did but donald trump himself, he has continued to maintain that he won. now he is trying to sell that to at least his base, which is what you showed there yesterday, that was in front of a crowd and arizona people who are already supporting donald trump, he got the cheers. he got the laugh lines that he wanted. so today the big question is whether or not he actually takes questions from us on that let's debate performance and also on a critical issue that we've all been talking about. and republicans have been speaking out against which is traveling with laura loomer. now, one of the other things that he continues to hammer on is this fearmongering around immigration. here's what he said last night. >> illegal haitian migrants taking over a beautiful place
4:08 am
so beautiful springfield, ohio. i was there. i can't pay their a while ago springfield. it was so beautiful now it's just water place can you imagine you have this small little community, all of a sudden you have 20,000 illegals in your community. >> so this is all part of a strategy. we know that donald trump and his team want him to hammer home these issues of immigration, the economy, and crimes we expect to hear that from him today, but again, the question is, are we going to walk in there and he actually takes questions from reporters or is this just another opportunity for him to erin? are his grievances and then leave his home here in california reserves, right here in california, and had to nevada and is that now part of the strategy? >> not even give policy and concept, but just airing of grievances. we shall see with you this morning. good to see you. thank you. >> all right. breaking overnight, 33,000 workers walk off the job in a strike that could have major impacts on the

right. breaking overnight about 33,000 boeing employees on strike after union members overwhelming overwhelmingly rejected a proposed contract with the aircraft manufacturer this is the first strike at boeing in 16-years-old, pretty much halt commercial airplane production at one of the country's largest manufacturers and exporters. cnn's vanessa yurkevich is with us, great to see you, vanessa. what's going on here? >> great to see you, john. so again, this was not just a no-vote, this was an absolutely not vote. you had 95% of membership voting down this deal that was agreed to by the union leadership and boeing. and then you had 96% of membership saying they wanted to go on strike. and that is exactly what we are seeing this morning. 33,000 union members work at boeing bringing america is one of america's largest manufacturers to a grinding halt. you also mentioned they are a huge exporter listen to what the union president jon holden said last night after the vote results
4:15 am
something that we take on one day at a time, one week at a time. we got to get back to the table. are members sent a strong message. i know they're going to be staffing the picket lines tonight and we'll be there 24/7 all across puget sound and in portland and the other locations now, this will not affect passengers of airlines right now, and this is not really going to affect the airlines in the immediacy however, where this does come into place, if this strike drags out, this is going to affect the nearly 10,000 suppliers that work with boeing. boeing says that it contributes about 79 billion dollars to the u.s. economy and creates many more jobs in addition to these union membership jobs, about 1.6 million jobs. so this could certainly have a ripple effect, but union membership saying that the deal that was struck is simply not good enough. it was 25 25% wage increases, it was a signing bonus. it was the promise to bring a new airplane
4:16 am
to washington that union members could vote on, that could work on. we don't know though with this vote, john, whether or not that plane will end up coming to the state of washington because it was contingent. of course on this deal being a yes vote by membership. and that's not what we saw last night, john. >> yeah. it wasn't just know as you say, it was hell no. >> like 95, 96%. so what happens next? >> it's tricky because there's not one single issue that the union leadership can point to as to why members voted this deal down. a lot of it john is pent up frustration from 2008 when a lot of the members gave up concessions for a contract. and since then there's been no for negotiation on a contract. they've just done contract extensions. and so they really felt like this was their moment to get everything that they wanted and they did an end for boeing's perspective, they say they want to get back to the negotiating table. but john boeing really hasn't been
4:17 am
doing so well financially these days, there are about 33 billion in operating losses and haven't turned a profit since 2008. so the union's leadership and membership may want more but how much can boeing give? we simply don't know. >> all right. >> you're caver ticket, as i said, great to have you here this morning. thanks so much, kate. >> new questions this morning about the health and well-being of the quarterback, the miami dolphins another concussion last night at least his third in the last few years. >> and an incredible rescue caught on police body camera officers pulling two children from a home engulfed in flames have i got news for you? >> premieres tomorrow at nine on cnn bombus makes absurdly comfortable underwear made to move with you. on. you because their basic things it should be your best thing. >> one purchase equals one

4:23 am
concussions. i had status moving forward is certainly unclear, but here was dolphin's coach, mike mcdaniel after the game on a scores was my thought was concerned and i was just worried about my guys. so something that you ever want everyone to be a part of you hope not too for this thing from my mind is what, what is the timeline i want to know we just need to evaluate and and i'm just worried about my you know, my teammates and like the rest of the guests are now to did play all of last season. but in 2022 had a series of concussion problems. and week three against the bill, he stumbled after a hit but was cleared to return to play in that game. now the nflpa da ended up firing the independent iran logistx that led to a stay
4:24 am
in that game. now the very next week though, to hit his head and his hand seized up on the field and was carted off with a concussion. he would return two weeks later and would play until week 16 when he suffered another concussion against the packers two ended up missing the final two games of the season and then the playoffs. now, as for the game last night it was dominated by the bill james cook. he ran for two touchdowns and caught another from josh allen, miami actually dominated time of possession and had more yards, but two there are three interceptions, including a pick six in the third quarter before leaving the game, bills beat the dolphins for the 14th time in 16 games, 31 to ten, but after the game and allan's thoughts were with two what's what's happened in the past and just knowing that i'm praying for him and his family he's a great football player, but i've been around him outside of the football field and even amazing human and even more amazing human. so again, prayers are going out to him in his favor emily, and hopefully

everything's all right yes, it to sara, he has had three diagnosed concussions in the nfl now, likely more he had one in out at alabama too, in its final season there so just lots of people, including former players colin for two over to have real serious thoughts about whether he needs to keep playing? yes. seeing that response where his hands seize up it's really, really hard to watch and the support i like it's going affect his whole life. so we will all be watching and hoping that he recovers. andy scholes. thank you so much. appreciate it. john yeah, sanjay is done amazing work on these. >> i mean, there's much more to life than football. >> the truth and and people need to be there for him to tell him that you know. >> yeah. you don't need this all right. new this morning, president biden may soon give ukraine the okay to use long-range missiles to fire into russia. vladimir putin with a fiery response. trouble it gauff a near miss as two passenger planes nearly collide. so why does this keep

[laughs] a home router should never be a home wrecker. oo this is a good book title. lumi do.com and a possible big shift coming in ukraine. president biden now appearing poised to allow ukraine to the u.s of long-range missiles supplied by
4:30 am
the west to target deeper inside russia, something ukraine's top officials have long called for something that to this point has been something of a line in the sand for the biden administration. biden's meeting with british prime minister keir starmer today with where this will likely be a topic on hand for their discussions and just as vladimir putin is also now weighing in on this let's bring in cnn's kevin liptack. he's got much more on very latest here, kevin, what are you hearing about? what's driving this change in position coming from president biden yeah. >> there are a couple of reasons, kate, why this conversation is happening now. one is just the general battlefield dynamic in ukraine, which is struggling to guard itself against this onslaught of russian attacks. the other was this specific revelation this week that iran is providing russia with ballistic missiles that has changed the calculus in some ways according to western officials and you do see this enormous amount of pressure now being piled on
4:31 am
president biden to ease some of the restrictions that are in place on the american and western long-range missiles and allow them to be fired deep into russia. and there has been something of a divide within the immigrant can government on this issue on one hand, you have officials who continue to be worried about the potential for escalation. and of course, that has been at the top of president biden's mind every time a new capability comes on the table when it comes to ukraine, you also hear officials worry about the effectiveness of this move and you heard the defense secretary lloyd austin give voice to this last week when he said a lot of the key assets that russia has his have already been moved out of range of these missiles. and he makes the point that the supply of these weapons is not limitless. >> on the other side of this debate, you hear a lot of officials, including some senior members of congress, including democrats, on the senate foreign relations committee who say that ukraine needs this capability to win this war. >> and they point out these fears of escalation have not
4:32 am
necessarily born out over the last two-and-a-half years. so this is a critical debate. now what officials say today is that president biden isn't planning to make any decision or announcement today. he has sort of ruled out the possibility that the american weapons, the atacms would be allowed to go deep into ukraine. but what he does appear open to doing it's allowing the british and french weapons to be fired further into russia. and that's something that of course he will be discussing with his counterpart at the white house today, the british prime minister, both men recently dispatched their top diplomat to ukraine on something of a fact-finding mission. and they heard directly from president zelenskyy about why this capability is necessary. >> kevin liptak. thank you so much all right. >> new this morning, the u.s. is expected to criminally charged the iranian supported hackers, who they say breached the trump campaign and stole documents. sources tell us those charges could come as early as next week. cnn national security reporter,
4:33 am
zach cohen has been working on his sources on this story. what more are you hearing zach yeah, we're seeing another example of how the u.s government is trying to fight back against efforts by foreign adversaries to interfere in influence the 2024 election. >> and this time using criminal charges, we're learning from our sources that the judge department is expected to announce criminal charges tied to that hack and leak operation that was targeting the trump campaign and successfully infiltrated the trump campaign via an email account belonging to longtime republican operative roger stone. they ultimately did obtain campaign documents, private campaign documents at attempted to leak those publicly. two different news organizations. we haven't seen those documents emerge publicly yet, but clearly the fbi has been continuing coming to collect evidence about who is behind this operation and this attempt. what us officials called an attempt to undermine and sow distrust in the u.s. election process. and the 2024 election specifically and look, this is just one example of several that we've seen in recent days and weeks that the justice department specifically
4:34 am
has been taking action on. and it's not just a ron we've also seen and just last week, they announced criminal charges against russian russian influence campaign. did they say it was also intended to influence the 2024 presidential election? i want to listen to what william olsen, the top national security official ad that just department said just yesterday about this foreign effort to undermine and influence the 2024 election our adversaries are actively seeking to covertly influence voters and to undermine our democracy. authoritarian regimes. so we're talking about russia iran, and china primarily whether it's russia, whether it's china, we're gonna continue to see the justice department speak out publicly about these efforts to interfere in the upcoming election, but also try to do things behind the scenes and use every tool at their disposal to push back on it in real time. all right. zach cohen. thank you so much for your reporting there. >> this morning, behind the scenes, look at the outsized role tiktok is playing this
4:35 am
election season, content creators seizing the moment to push the candidates and create buzz. cnn senior correspondent donie o'sullivan takes a deep dive. >> what's your most viewed video born in iran raises iran for more patriot than those who goodwill with the trump flag in my office that was a couple of days go in airport on my way here to atlanta donald trump is the biggest, most existential threat to gen z is mujer. nearly all tiktok users said in a survey that they use the app because it's entertaining, but more than a third said they also use it to keep up with politics time to be on the internet and so i met with two gen z tik-tokers to talk about how and why they make political videos despite what some people refuse to believe donald trump is receiving some support from
4:36 am
people that are young, like kind of like my age, right nasa is an iranian immigrant who's a mass thousands of followers with her pro trump tiktoks, many of which show off this maga store in farce lake, minnesota you will get compliments from most people on social media, as long as you support their opinions. >> and i believe the algorithm also plays a huge part specifically on tiktok you know, when you're posting this stuff that it's going to start to debase? >> yes and that's kind of the point i believe i'm providing a space for republicans and democrats to have debates all right, joining us now, cnn political analyst jackie kucinich, and republican strategist sarah chamberlain thank you both for being here this morning. you saw that piece from donie o'sullivan and its lightning gen z engaging in politics and tiktok in a big way. but i guess the, the ultimate question is, is that going to mean they actually
4:37 am
vote? what insignificant numbers? because i feel like every single election year, people talk about the youth vote. the youth vote, the youth vote it doesn't materialize in a significant way. first to you, jackie always the open question, sarah, and certainly the campaigns are doing everything that they can to get out to gen z. >> it's one of the things that we've seen sort of write itself for the, for the harris campaign after president biden decided to step aside because he wasn't reaching those voters. and certainly tiktok on both campaigns is somewhere where they're reaching out and finding young voters also say older people do vote more consistently and in far bigger numbers what do you, what do you make of this? that older people obviously will turn out to vote the younger. as we always have to discussion, though, i think now with tiktok, and actually i think would taylor swift believe it or not? i think that
4:38 am
will help. and i love to see the young people get out and vote and do the democracy. i mean, we need them to vote. we can't just rely on and older people to be voting all the time. >> i'm curious what you think that candidates should focus on, should they focus on those voters that they know are going to go to the polls or are they really in this very tight election, really putting their focus, or should they be putting their focus on those who don't tend to vote that often focus on the people as republicans, we need the people who typically vote to turn out. it'd be great to have the younger people as i just said. but for the republicans to win, especially the republican main street partnership, members of which i, in the ceo of we need every good way to vote, but we especially need that the typical voters from like 40 and on up make sure they get out. >> jackie, i guess there's a big question to debate or not to debate. it looks like donald trump is not going to debate
4:39 am
kamala harris. again. he went on truth social. he said it in public saying there there will be no third debate. there's his truth, social, there what do you make it? this is this going to matter to him more or to her by what the candidates are saying, who were they think they're best positioning as harris campaign wants more debates. >> he did very well at the debate onto the other night and trump, i mean, he was in the spin room, sarah, you don't come into the spin room. if you had a good debate the fact that he he's saying that he won, he's doing it because he doesn't need to i that is not the case here. usually what would happen in a normal campaign which we are not in the campaign will take advantage of all of those eyeballs again, to have a better debate. >> that's not that's not what's happening here.
4:40 am
>> so i can't we love the debate about the debate and he can always change his mind, but right now it looks like we're just going to have to settle for what we saw the other night. >> sir, there's a curious thing that the harris campaign has been saying that they are the underdogs. and part of that is to sort of rile everybody up to say like this is going to be really hard fought. race. but when she is the incumbent, is that a good move? because she comes from the incumbent administration? >> i actually think it's a great move on her part. i mean, she needs to motivate her base to make sure they get out because this really is a tight race. if you look back to hillary clinton, she did not get her base out and she paid the ultimate price and donald trump won. so i think it's brilliant strategy, get the democrats fired up, get them to turn out as a republican. i would prefer she not do that, but i think it's brilliant on her part. absolutely. >> i am curious just to ask you, jackie, why you think this race is so so historically, the closest race we have, we've
4:41 am
really ever experienced the country is so polarized, which is why harris absolutely right. i'm each candidate needs to get out their base and certainly we're seeing in terms of fundraising that the keras campaign right now has a whole lot of enthusiasm but $1 only do so much they need people to get to the polls to mail-in those ballots because, right, it is at every day is election day. >> at this point. and a lot of states, because yes, it isn't november, but because of mail because of mail-in voting they can do it right now. so it's those voters on the margins that are competing. and of course, keeping, making sure that favorable get out there and both campaigns are going all out. we're seeing them all over the country history of jackie kucinich, sarah shamblin. >> thank you both so much for coming on this morning. appreciate you okay. >> so today the faa is investigating another close call. and alaska airlines pilot having to slam on the brakes and abort takeoff and national the crew forced to break so

4:51 am
georgia against donald trump as actually been paused for a few months now, there are some i'm appeals underway so these rulings don't immediately apply to former president trump. but if the case goes back to the trial court down the line, they will. and the decision from the judge would throw out to of the charges that former president trump is facing for alleged false statements pertaining to the fake electors plot in 2020. and also related to a lawsuit that the trump campaign filed in georgia attempting to throw out the legitimate results. so that's a win for trump for sure. but in another ruling, the judge, scott mcafee, upheld the rico charge, the racketeering charge that is really the heart of this case the heart of this indictment. he said that that is proper and can move forward. and of course, trump is facing that charge as well. but when you chalk it all up, it wasn't a victory for the former president. and that was celebrated by his attorney,
4:52 am
steve sadow, who put out a statement yesterday reacting to this ruling. he said that president trump and his legal team in georgia have prevailed once again for those keeping score at home, john trump was initially charged with 13 criminal counts the judge threw out three earlier this year, and these decisions would take two of them off the board. so 13 minus three minus two would get us to eight counts that trump is still facing in georgia including, as i mentioned, that all important rico charge john eight counts left or as kate notes, that would be 11 in the metric system. >> marshall cohen you went there, you said it would be complicated, end up being easy. >> thank you so much math doing math right there and i got nervous again. >> he was not going converted from kilometer metric to whatever we do anyway, where do we do metric when moving on let's do this something i do know donald trump facing questions still today over his debate performance tuesday
4:53 am
night. >> and also facing questions about the people that are now in his ear. this woman, laura loomer, is a far-right activist. she traveled with trump i'm to the debate and afterwards, she was seen in the spin room. she is known to say blatantly racist and sexist things, also leaning hard into many conspiracy theories. a good measure of how controversial she is, congresswoman marjorie taylor greene, a magnet to controversy and conspiracy theories herself had this to say about loomer her rhetoric and her tone is, does not match the base, does not match maga does not match. most republicans i know and i am completely denouncing it cnn's brian stelter has been following this. >> he's back with us forever. once again what are you hearing about this? >> good morning, everybody. yeah. this is so striking. laura loomer is a far right activist. she's always craving
4:54 am
attention, but she describes herself as an investigative journalists, which is really telling because she wants to credibility of journalism. but in reality, she is a social media bomb throwers. he seeks attention through outrageous dans and offensive posts. as you said, a long history of racist and islamaphobic rhetoric and now she's traveling with the former president, potentially giving him campaign advice. here's the kind of post that laura loomer is known for. this is one that's getting a lot of attention this week where she's a sailing kamala harris with a racist comments saying the white house will smell it curry. if harris wins, and white house speeches will be facilitated via a call center, presumably in reference to india that's the kind of content that loomer is known for, perhaps trump. >> trump a appreciates it. we don't know what we do know is that she has been traveling on his plane this week has trump said anything about her or anyone around him about any role that she plays or will play with the campaign no, not yet, but i think this scrutiny, this national media scrutiny
4:55 am
this week might change that. >> we shall see earlier this summer though. trump spotted loomer at a cryptocurrency conference and gave her shout out from the stage. that's not the only time actually, he's given her a lot of credit here are some examples stood out, please great job. you do great job you want to try and have her on your side, right? >> the great laura loomer, some of you know, laura, she's fantastic person, brave woman a friend of all of ours in a war. this woman is amazing laura loomer better, i would say trump is helping make her famous. >> she's been seeking fame for a long time. she's a failed congressional candidate, for example, but she has been successful now and get it inside trump's inner circle. >> but i mean take a look back if past is prologue i mean, no matter what scrutiny that comes
4:56 am
to her and to trump for hanging out with her, how likely is trump going to be the distance from some former you're getting of what we both know, having covered trump for years, he is very unlikely to actually fully distance or, or to express any regret, right? it's possible that that she'll just stay on the sidelines. she'll just hang out with him and never be on the campaign in an official capacity. but given what we've seen in recent days where loomer, for example, is promoted so that lie, that racist lie about animals being eaten in ohio. there are connections between the people trump hangs out with and the rhetoric he shares at rallies. and this week on the debate stage, we know that some advisers have been trying to encourage trump to behave, so to speak, in the final weeks of this campaign. but people like loomer, stoke and press the buttons on his it's most basic impulses. and frankly, i think it's important that we still scrutinize this and pay attention when there's this kind of racist rhetoric that is finding its way into the presidential campaign. >> it's good to see you, brian. thank you thank all right.

>> on our radar this morning, an update in the trial of three former memphis police officers charged in the beating death of tyre nichols on thursday. jurors the first time watch footage of nichols being beaten from those body worn cameras of those officers or police lieutenant testified that the officers did not comply i would departmental policies and training, adding that the other officers should have intervened to stop the bleeding. mortgage rates fell this week to the law so his point and over a year-and-a-half, the average rate on a 30 year mortgage dropped to 6.2% this week, a decline from 6.35 a week ago. but mortgage costs are still twice as high as they were three years ago when the average 30 year rate stood at around 3%

i'm going to save those children too. texas police officers hailed as heroes this morning after rescuing two children from a burning home, that rescue happened just seconds before the fire reached the room where those kids were we're the dramatic body camera video capturing the rescue tuesday as they were being pulled through that window, you see them there, the seven and 9-year-old had to be treated for smoke inhalation they are o kay. this morning so by most measurements, elon musk is the richest person on the planet. >> this morning, we learned he's on track to become the world's first trillionaire. cnn's matt egan is here with this brand new reporting. all right, matt, how does this work? >> well, john, if elon musk is going to become the world's first trillionaire. it's going to depend in large part on the success of tesla, right? this is the ev company that has the most valuable automaker on the
4:59 am
planet. it's worth 720 billion dollars. that's more than bank of america coca-cola. and starbucks combined. and if wall street keeps pouring money into this company, which as you can see from this stock chart, they've been putting a lot of money into this company. if that continues, there's no guaranteed and obviously musk net worth we'll keep going up. he's already worth 250 billion that's 21 billion more just this year alone. think about that. the gears not even over and he's $21 billion richer and yes, this report from informer does project that he will be the first trillionaire by 2027. now, this is no slam dunk. obviously, if there's a market downturn, if tesla stumbles then that could delay or even cancel this milestone altogether. but musk, he obviously has a big head start here. he is the richest person on the planet by a lot, $41 billion richer. the number two

on that list amazon co founder jeff bezos, well ahead of facebook co-founder mark zuckerberg and of course, tesla is not must only asked that it is his biggest but he has this sprawling business empire, right? i mean he owned almost half of spacex. that's the private aerospace company that just yesterday made history with the first ever commercial spacewalk. >> he owns a big chunk of the boring company, neuralink x ai, the artificial intelligence startup, then also maybe his most controversial business x, that's the social media company formerly known as twitter. >> x has obviously come under fire over how it's moderated content it's also lost a lot of values since musk has taken over, but clearly it hasn't taken a big head out of musk fortune, just one other point here, john, just the fact that
