>> well, thank you for asking that question, obviously, is someone who who live the truth of venezuela and see how it all turned out in his world. look, in venezuela had a perfect storm of horrible things happening, right? cool misleadership, terrible leadership, corruption and the stabilization of that country economically just kinda destroy the shot that the people had you. know, i would say that every single day americans wake up to two closer to the truth, they get closer to what it isn't. it we'll let you know donald trump's words speak for themselves, but i would i would probably say to myself that in this moment the most important thing we have to do is reach out to one another. you know the across the aisle is important, but the community base and unity is what has to be enforced so much paraphrasing of our cultures contribution to this country, so much you know so many stories have been build to, you know, to basically say, hey, maybe you don't belong here.
6:01 am
maybe you do belong here. i think that to me if i can humbly say, i think one of the biggest reasons why reading this book is to say, hey, you know, we're here, we're on the same team. we're in the same jersey. we should really play for the same championship and to me the thing that i love to do, and especially with latino and all the organizations that i'm working with. and specifically by educating all of these communities to rise up and say, hey, i need to take a seat at the table and i need to continue we shape and vote for one country. we really want to live in next that to me is the priority is just to hopefully get everybody to be proud of exercising their vote in, in shaping, governing on a local level and on a national level to what our needs are you're right, there's 36 million latinos that will be eligible to vote. this time around. thank you so much for coming on the show. and of course, the new book, it's good, really tells you so much i appreciate you having me. thank you. >> new hour, cnn news central starts right now
6:02 am
>> now, sean diddy combs is expected to appear in federal court in new york after being arrested overnight and soon the details will be coming on what charges he is really facing now and today, donald trump is back on the campaign trail for the first time since an apparent second assassination attempt in new details are also coming out this morning on the suspect and we're seeing the first image of the titan submersible sitting at the bottom of the ocean floor after that horrible catastrophic and deadly implosion last year but officials have now learned from the coast guard, i'm kate bolduan with john berman and sara sidner. this is cnn new central >> breaking this morning, sean diddy combs arriving. any the moment at a federal court in new york. he was arrested overnight and a manhattan hotel taken into custody by homeland
6:03 am
security investigators a federal indictment is set to be unsealed. he'll very soon let's get right to cnn's kara scannell outside the courthouse in new york. we've been awaiting this arrival, awaiting really new information all morning long, kara, what are you learning? >> yeah, good morning, john. so diddy sean diddy combs as arrested last night around 8:15 at the park hyatt hotel in midtown. he's been in federal custody overnight and he will appear in court today to face these charges. now, we are not going to see him walk through the front doors of the courtroom. he will be brought in by federal agents, likely through a garage. so we won't see him actually walk in, but he will be in a courtroom room today. once he arrives and his process and then he will face those charges. we are expecting the indictment to be unsealed this morning. we'll learn the breadth of these charges, but this will investigation stem from the lawsuit brought by diddy's former girlfriend recording artists from bad boy records diddy's label cassie
6:04 am
ventura. she alleged that diddy had sexually trafficked her, that he raped her, that he forced her to have sex with other men. and after her lawsuit was filed last year, did he settled it within one day? he then faced several other civil lawsuits from other women and including one man who is alleged much of the same that diddy had invited them to drug fueled parties, so they were forced to have sex with diddy and others that diddy has denied those allegations, but we will see exactly the scope of these criminal charges once they are unsealed, i believe that was diddy's lawyer mark agnifilo arriving in court. he is going to be in court with diddy today once these charges are unsealed, but they are also still waiting to see the breadth of the case. did he is facing, but it does stem from these sexual harassment this is lawyer, let's listen to get out to me. often once his with action i
6:05 am
mean, he he moved to new york as i think some guys now, we've brought him to new york about two weeks ago because we >> he is dealing with this head-on, the way he's dealt with every challenge in his life. and he's, he's not guilty. he's innocent of these charges. >> we know we know what the charges are going to be without seeing the indictment. it's going to be racketeering. it's gonna be sex trafficking. it's only things along those lines this is what we've been expecting since the searches in march. >> he he to his great credit, he voluntarily came to new york. >> not a lot of defendants do that. he came to new york to basically engage the court system and start the case and
6:06 am
it'll start today and he's going to plead not guilty. obviously, he's going to fight this with all of his energy and all his might and the confidence of his lawyers and i expect a long battle with a good result for mr. combs. if i'm going to fight like hell to get them released and he should be released with all that he's done and coming here voluntarily and guys, i'm going to cut it short because i have to go. all right. so thank you all very much. and i'll keep this morning and not this morning. i'm going to see him now. i was wasn't until 1:00. >> so the encoder ready? >> i don't know. that's one of the things i'm gonna go see, but i'm going to run you guys. thank you. thanks a lot. all right hi, everybody >> yeah. >> use attorney mark agnes happening right behind our keras canal. right here and we learned a number of new things for one, did he say to plead not guilty number two, they expect the charges to be racketeering and sex trafficking. and three, as you've been reporting all
6:07 am
morning long, he's leaning to the fact that did he came voluntarily to new york. he claims a few years ago because they few weeks ago, i should say, because they believed this was about to happen, kara fair to a new stage last spring when did these homes were searched by homeland security investigators? >> those homes in los angeles and in miami, they seize his electronic devices and a lot of the women in their civil lawsuits had alleged that they were filled from doing these sex acts. so that is all evidence that the prosecution has been looking for. and it's possible that they have recovered some of that, but we will learn more details of that once it's indictment is unsealed. and as you said, dds attorney marking difficult low, saying that he expects us to be racketeering and sex trafficking. and he also said that he is going to try to get dd release one question that is unknown at this point of whether prosecutors going to seek to detain him other individuals charges, sex trafficking have been detained. big question is, when did he walk out these doors behind me later today, john? >> yeah. agnes below said he's going to fight like hell to get
6:08 am
diddy released this morning. keras can now great reporting. thank you very much. >> sarah all right. >> joining me now to continue the discussion, cnn legal analyst and criminal defense attorney joey jackson. so good to see you. we just heard as john was reporting there on what we saw in the air sean diddy combs is lawyer talking about what he expects. and so he set himself we expect the charges to be racketeering sex trafficking along those lines y yeah. >> i think the answer sara, good to be with you. good morning is because what we've seen in the lawsuits. okay. so taking it back, civil. yes. these are civil suits, not criminal in nature, but the allegations have centered around misdeeds concerning commercial sexual activities it's concerning issues relating to flying in people for illicit purposes relating to various drugs and various parties and him doing these things as a result of that, you have the civil lawsuits, so you can put it together to surmise that it's going to be about the sex trafficking and racketeering. now, what is that? you're running a criminal
6:09 am
enterprise for? profit that's racketeering this sexual issues in terms of the human trafficking, you're you're really going to transporting them exactly, sara. so that's why i'll tell you what the concern is briefly as a defense attorney, the concern is a couple of things. number one, we know they rated his home in california. they rated his home in miami. and what do you get from that potentially various videos and other evidence but i'm also concerned about the lawsuits. now they're civil, not criminal, but these are witnesses who are motivated, motivated witnesses to come forward to give testimony. so i'm looking to determine what the indictment says as to that and what prosecutors have done in following that roadmap to lead to this indictment, the road bhatt being all of the civil lawsuit it's almost about ten of them we did hear also from his attorney. >> he says his client is innocent and he will plead not guilty. and that's not a surprise. know. >> so it's not a surprise at all. so what happens is, is that when you appear in court, it's about notice. it's about, hey, listen, this is what you're being charged with. have you had an
6:10 am
opportunity? it will be unsafe sealed, right now, just very briefly. so this is an indictment. remember an indictment is merely an accusation. a grand jury consisting of about 23 people convenes a majority, a simple majority, 12 has to say two things. one, there's reasonable cause to believe a crime was committed and to the subject of the investigation, the indictment committed it. that would be sean combs. so as a result of that, it's not proof of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. it's not unanimous, so that's what they're looking at. so we'll see what they considered in terms of charges who appeared before the grand jury, the nature, the quality and substance of the evidence speaking of the evidence cnn obtained a video that showed sean diddy combs dragging one of his girlfriend's at the time, who has also filed a civil suit those sorts of things do you expect those to be part of the evidence here? >> they certainly will be. and this is that video that streamly disturbing. so we should warn you about that. those sorts of pieces of
6:11 am
evidence will certainly be used in the civil cases. do you expect that those also will be picked up here so they could and here's what i mean by that. when i say could sara, it's always a determination made by a judge. right. and so because of the allegations here, what happens in many cases, we've seen it as you have these things it was called prior bad acts. and what prior bad acts can go to show, not because you did it, then you'll do it. now. it goes to show motive. it goes to show intent, it goes to show opportunity, various thing. so it may be admissible for that purpose, even if it's not specifically charged, meaning that particular crime and it could be other things. we don't know exactly what they found on the devices will certainly know. and i also expects our it'll be a speaking indictment and what that means is that it'll be happening narrative yes. with regard to exactly what the conditions and charges and what he's been doing so stay tuned is going to be a lot. >> it means that not only did he will hear all of this, but the public will find out about what if enough indictment very clearly well thank you so much, joey jackson, as always, a pleasure to have you new

6:17 am
help us get america. what's behind the door it's pretty creepy areas house did america series it's premiere october 4th at nine on hgtv. >> donald trump heads back out on the campaign trail today for the first time since sunday's apparent assassination attempt against him. and he's going to michigan with his running mate, j.d. vance, obviously critical battleground state even with their own recent history being called out for dangerous rhetoric, they say it is the heated rhetoric of president biden kamala harris and democrats that is most dangerous well, there's a lot of rhetoric, a lot of people think that the democrats, when they talk about threat to democracy and all of this. >> and it seems that both of these people were radical left no one has tried to kill kamala harris in the last couple of months and two people now have tried to kill donald trump in the last couple of months, i'd say that's pretty strong evidence that the left needs to
6:18 am
but tone down the rhetoric overnight, donald trump's message on social media to supporters fight, fight, fight, cnn's alayna treene back with us now for much more on this, they're headed to michigan what is the message that you expect to hear from them in michigan today? >> well, that post you how up from donald trump on x saying fight, fight, fight. of course, the what he had said on stage during his first assassination attempt in butler, pennsylvania. i'd also note that that linked to a fundraising page. so keep that in mind. they are raising money off of some of this. but look, i think a lot of people are eager to hear from donald trump tonight, but also to see him. this is the first time people are going to physically see him on stage addressing his supporters. it is a town hall, it's being moderated by arkansas governor sarah huckabee sanders, of course, is former press secretary. but i think you'll get a lot of questions from the crowd on this. and i think you will hear donald trump, at least. i'm told you'll hear from donald trump from his advisers about what had transpired on sunday. now, yesterday, you played some
6:19 am
of this, but he did participate in a x spaces event where he kind of walked through and recounted his experience during this. i want you to take a listen to what he said service been an excellent job. >> and they have the man behind bars and hopefully he's going to be there for a long time. >> now, kate, well, you heard her there about him saying secret service did an excellent job. i can tell you from my conversations with donald trump's senior adviser. is that they are happier. i don't know if that's the right word, but they are they are feeling better about the way that secret service had handled this event in florida on sunday, then what had happened in july? by with butler, but i think the big picture here is that there's a lot of finger pointing out what happened and there's definitely a key difference in their rhetoric that we're hearing from both donald trump and j.d vance immediately placing the blame on democrats here you'll hear some of that on the campaign trail this week as well. >> learn a train. thank you so
6:20 am
much for your reporting, john. >> i think florida governor ron desantis is speaking about all this right now, let's listen in accountable we're going to hear from some folks that will be involved in this starting with our attorney general, ashley moody thank you for all who are joining us today. i'm ashley moody. i'm the attorney general of the great state of florida, really proud as always to stand with a leader like governor desantis, who always appears to meet the moment. whatever that may be, whatever challenge may be upon us. and he's certainly not one to sit on his hands and today is another demonstration of that incredible leadership characteristic. i think america right now is an florida citizens are very hungry, will let you know if there's any news here, but there have been calls for florida launch its own investigation into what happened there along with
6:21 am
whatever federal investigation is going on. >> but you just heard alayna treene, by the way, say that donald trump, but people around him seem and to be happy right now, are happier with how the secret service performed in this instance with me now, cnn chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst, john miller. john nice to see you this morning. good morning. >> one of the things that was raised yesterday by one of the sheriffs involved and just this notion out there that they are still investigating the idea that this could have been some kind of a conspiracy that someone else may have been involved as natural to investigate that. where do things stand right now? >> so that was wills neither the martin county sheriff, very sharp law man. and it's an important question if you look at the history of assassins, you know, there's always a conspiracy theory. there is usually not a conspiracy with hidden, powerful hands and foreign countries, but we also have to look at recent history and put puzzle pieces together. there is the iranian threat against donald trump in
6:22 am
individual was arrested a couple of weeks ago in the united states for trying to recruit ahead team you also have to look at the individual who stabbed salman rushdie, who was the subject of an order by the iranian ayatollah years ago to be killed. you have to look at the person that when i was in the nypd or our detectives and the fbi arrested with an ak-47 and a pile of money, who was targeting a rush it in iranian dissident in brooklyn. so you've got to peel back the layers of this particular suspect and say he's been out there living out loud online. was he or recruitment opportunity for someone who told him, you can do something big it's possible. but it's unlikely if you go by the stats, most of these people, and if you look at his developing profile have it in their head that i'm going to do this big thing and i'm going to get notoriety and i'm
6:23 am
going to change the world and have issues. but it's still, you've got to go through the motions and see who's even talking to how how does it complicate things if as appears to be in this case not particularly cogent are linear in his thinking, at least in the public profile that we've seen well, it it is not uncommon in these cases. you know, if you even go back to a hate to say this, it's an indicator of the world we live in. the last assassination attempt two months ago. and you go back through his online history and postings a, lot of these people are all over the map and it plays into defense. i mean, one of the things that will come up in this case is a mental health evaluation it's an avenue that defense will pursue. but when you look at the planning that goes into these things finding that spot, having that weapon the obliterated serial number, the bulletproof protection that he had built around where he was
6:24 am
hiding all of this alleged, of course it shows he understood right from wrong, and he was conscious of guilt and what he was doing. >> one of the things we did learn yesterday was the cell phone data placing him in that area? for 12 hours. what does that tell us so it gives us big questions, one of which is relevant to the secret service controversy, which is did he wait for the cover of darkness in the wee hours of the morning in penetrate that shrubbery and find his reconnaissance find his spot, set up an on the idea that i don't want anybody in daylight seeing me going through these bushes. >> so i'm just going to lie here the other alternative is that he may have set up their placed his gopro camera there and then livestream that his phone while he ate and slept in it the car across the street, there's 1 million commercial business is on the other side of summit where he could have
6:25 am
been post office gas station, burger king, 711, large empty parking lot where he could have been in a much more comfortable place waiting for the time when he was going to go in raises even more questions. >> john miller, thanks so much great to see you sara all right ahead. >> the biden administration is touting a drop in migrants trying to cross the southern border as it means a top concern for voters. for the first time we're seeing images of that titan submersible on the ocean floor after it imploded chilling testimony on the warnings about the dangers saturday syscall seen in history taking a break from breaking news to air, have i got news for you? breaking news. i'm getting a sandwich. >> we need to talk about what constitutes breaking news. >> provide got news for you saturday at nine on cnn and streaming next day on max right now, pet dander in cells, mold, spores, pollen, and dirt are being sucked into your air ducts, get cleaner air in

eight there is increased security for schools in springfield, ohio, the city where former president trump and his running mate, j.d. vance have falsely claimed that haitian immigrants our eating family pets beginning this morning, state troopers have had to do a sweep at all 17 schools in the district after repeated bomb threats there, the mayor says, that's impacted six to 7,000 children. the threats have also targeted local colleges in all the city has received 33 threats all tied to the false pet eating claims joining us now is cnn's brynn gingras. keep us up to date on and get us up to speed on what's been happening there. and also you have a local official that is not from there, but as a few hours away, who had a lot to say about this, and none of it's good yeah, none of its goods there, but let's also put into context for the viewers where
6:31 am
we're talking about, we're talking about a midwest american towns, springfield not even 70,000 people. >> a small police tomorrow, apartment small resources. and now the state is having to get really involved to help these people out because of these bases. this has claimed, i mean, it's pretty incredible. so what we know right now is that the state is now sending 30 36 state troopers were going to go into schools starting this morning before faculty get there. so probably already have done that sweep the entire buildings, make sure they're staying safe for the students to go in stay the error while school is going on and then be stationed for dismissal just to ease some of the anxiety for parents. we also know that there are two universities there. they have received numerous bomb threats, numerous threats of shooting up these schools. so much so that they've had to go to virtual learning for those universities. and then on top of that setting aside all the schools were learning from the state that they are going to be adding cameras to that town,
6:32 am
that they're bringing in bomb-sniffing dogs that they're bringing in the homeland security for the state to go in and sweep critical pieces of infrastructure like the schools to make sure that everything is calm. and again, this is all based on baseless claims. i want you to hear from the governor where he says these threats are coming from threats have all been hoaxes none of them had panned out we have people. >> unfortunately, overseas who are taking these actions some of them are coming from one particular country we think that this is, you know, one more opportunity to mess with the united states and yet he wouldn't say which country that is. you didn't want to give any more reason to add fuel to the fire, but look, these claims are also just giving more sort of ammunition, two others to speak out. you just mentioned you know, a local official from a town, several, hours away from springfield, sara, but a
6:33 am
sheriff essentially going on his own face book he's a seated sheriff, elected sheriff, and basically saying, let's call out all the people that support kamala harris. let's get their addresses down. i mean, it's just getting very inflammatory as we know across this country. but certainly in this area, one of the country, yeah, i mean, when one of the big things that the republicans have been complaining about is that resources are being impacted by the immigrants and here their rhetoric has greatly impacted this town in ways that they could never have imagined. >> brynn gingras. thank you so much. i really appreciate your reporting on this. >> thanks, sara, joining us right now to talk more about all of this is former obama speech writer terry zoo plat. he's the author of the new book. say it well, find your voice, speak your mind, inspire and audience, and also with us is former trump administration official matt mowers. great to see you guys. so terri add to the conversation that brennan, sara were just having ads that you've got donald trump and j.d. vance talking about what they say, the need for democrats to tone down the rhetoric, listen to this well,
6:34 am
there's a lot of rhetoric going a lot of people think that the democrats, when they talk about threat to democracy and all of this. >> and it seems that both of these people were radical left no one has tried to kill kamala harris in the last couple of months and two people now have tried to kill donald trump in the last couple of months, i'd say that's pretty strong evidence that the left needs to tone down the rhetoric this is what we're hearing from some of our reporting is this is going to become part of the trump campaign's message today and going forward how do democrats and kamala harris on the campaign respond to this? or think this illustrates a bigger problem. it's in the country are kind to mention the book at the beginning and one of the reasons precisely why wrote the book is because the political rhetoric in this country has gotten completely out of control. and if in moments like this, the only thing that happens is republicans get up and blamed democrats and democrats get up and blame republicans. then this is never going to change.
6:35 am
we're going to be stuck in this forever. so one of the things i do in the book is lay out things that we can all do as americans to help tone down the rhetoric, yes, the politician russians need to do it, but these are things we can all do on our own lives. this is a national problem. >> it's, it is inspiring to hear you say that, but i will say the immediate aftermath is exactly what you fear terriers happening is happening. you hear that from j.d. vance. i also logic. matt, i will say it if they believe the trump campaign believes that heated rhetoric can be dangerous, and it can be logical thinking does suggest that donald trump should be concerned about his own heated rhetoric about springfield, ohio and beyond. but i just had a top trump campaign surrogate republican congressman from florida, just on with me. and let me play this for you in terms of rhetoric. >> do you think do you think donald trump, the in the trump campaign, do you think they have a problem with rhetoric as well?
6:36 am
>> no, i don't. i think especially in light of the fact that there has now been a second assassination attempt on the life of president trump. i do not believe so. what we are seeing now is that you do have radical elements of the democratic party donald trump, matt donald trump does not have a rhetoric problem, is what he was saying to me how are people supposed to take that statement seriously and where does that where does this take us? >> well, you know, i think the point that congressman donalds was saying there and i watched part of the interview earlier. i think he went on to say this further and it's a similar point to what j.d vance was saying in the clip you just played is they're saying if you look at who is the candidate and who is the person who's now survived essentially to assassination attempts. i think we can call it by sunday as an assassination attack when someone has an armed weapon within 500 yards of the former president, i'd states that clearly there is something in this atmosphere is citing them and if you do look at the rhetoric sustained over a

number of years and not saying that both parties don't have moments and heated rhetoric now, saying that both sides should calm down not saying that. but if you look at from the perspective of what byron donalds, what j.d. vance are saying, given that the only candidate who has now successfully survived two assassination attempts is donald trump. one would lead you believe there's heated rhetoric that is driving these individuals who yes, are not mentally stable or not emotionally stable are clearly in a world of their own but are incited by some belief in the political system that donald trump is such a threat. the word that is often used by the democratic campaigns and kamala harris and joe biden calling him a threat that they have to take action in their own hands. and it's not something that can be solved at the ballot box. and that inherently is the problem that we have right now in our country. is the fact that you have had this sustained level of rhetoric that is dauda more. i mean, you just had kamala harris today say that donald trump is responsible for people in women dying. i mean, when you say things like that, when you then
6:38 am
go and i believe byron donalds talk about this, the project 2025 plan that donald trump has said he doesn't agree with it, hasn't even read to the point that he has even see anything, doesn't agree with it. you still have vice president harris's campaign saying that this is a danger and threat to democracy and donald trump's subscribe to every word in it. it's the type of lives and gaslighting that does drive people's heard saying, maybe i have to take my own hands and that is the problem but, i'm going to i'm going to let target and bud light talking about gaslighting is exactly what i feel like it has been happening on our air. >> and in many places for a long time because yes, you both campaigns could need it, have a does have a maybe they need to both tone it down. but talking about gaslighting is like these lies i did this, but these lies don't lead to anything is part of the problem here. i mean, but terry, people use heated rhetoric on the campaign because they think it works. >> this is exactly what we just heard, is exactly what i'm getting out. again, if all anyone does is get up and blame
6:39 am
other people for this situation that we're never going to get out of this we're here having a conversation about political rhetoric. so let's focus on political rhetoric. let's focus on the words that we use that our leaders use, that we use as americans. what can we all do as, you know, everyone says we need to tone it down, but no one ever says what we should do. so here's some examples. we can all stop dehumanizing one another. we can stop using words like describing fellow human beings as animals in hordes. we can stop demonizing each other. we can stop using words like wicked and evil to describe other people. we can stop otherizing people and painting. everything has an us versus them, a contest. we can stop referring to fellow americans who disagree with us as the enemy, which we hear over and over, enemies who need to be crushed to need to be destroyed. that's what leads to partisan the success of partisanship. that's what's leading to political instability. and violence. and again, if you want to talk about political violence, you cannot have a conversation like this without talking about one of the ultimate act next of political violence in american
6:40 am
history, which was the violent attack on the u.s. capitol on january 6. >> and i think we could also say looking to maybe we get to the point we're looking to politicians to be the leaders in toning down the rhetoric is not the place to look. i'm starting to think, just take adjectives out of everything the way we talk about things make they're sentence structure very basic and that might be the way we have to talk, but it's your perspective on this is fascinating and matt, it's always great to have you to come on. thank you very much. thank you. john. >> kate baldwin pronoun anti-arab active, heard it here for us. this morning, brand new images released of the titan submersible moments before the implosion that killed all of the people onboard things in changing changing wife. i'm not changed sexual orientation of not changing the political party. we're going go to the house with what we got here. okay. >> car saturday, october cooper faith on cnn

we can look at so much more than sales data see that predictive analytics. how long have you been doing this as long as we've been with media, people who know, know bd i, hanako montgomery in tokyo, and this is cnn guard hearing is revealing new details about the horrific implosion of the titan submersible for the first time. we're seeing an image of the vessel's tail cone at the bottom of the ocean floor after it imploded, killing all five people on board. they were going down to see the wreckage of the titanic yesterday, saw shocking testimony from a contractor who worked on the titan would you have felt comfortable going on the titan to depth? >> can you please explain why don't believe that composites
6:46 am
are the correct material for a pressure vessel that's experienced external compression. did you ever vote he's your concerns to any oceangate employee? >> yes, i did joining me now is tim taylor underwater explorer and ceo at tibon subsea. >> tim, thank you for coming on again for us this morning. that was some very powerful testimony when you heard him say no and that he would not have recommended getting on that vessel and then said, i did tell the owners of the vessel what do you make of that? how how bad is it for those who created this, this vessel i mean, i don't think it's really good that that is composite was experimental you don't, people do not get in their cars without manufacturers crash testing them and is doing and
6:47 am
i'm going to testing them this material should have been tested, adapting numerous times without people in it, without stressed and flexed and tested. >> but every, every legitimate submersible developer has toyed with carbon fiber. at one point in fact, a lot of a timeless vehicles that made with carbon fiber, but they don't have people. and for very good reason and they stick to shallower depths when you get that kind of pressure of the titanic and it flexes these things and they compress and they moved, they start to delaminate, they start to cut each other, they start to add like sandpaper within themselves in and instead, start decaying rapidly and they don't hold up like titanium. >> we're still stronger materials tim, why use the material? >> is it is it that it's cheaper? is it that it's lighter? what is the reason for using that composite material that can be, as you said? so problematic in really deep depths that you want to be
6:48 am
innovative, you want to use new materials and we want to break frontiers. this is an experimental vessel and you don't put customers and people that are paying, say a safety briefing for someone on one of these things that says, hey, this is really safe, that this is the fire for instance, if you're on a plane, this is how to get off. we don't tell you that i will used inferior materials to manufacture the plane. you feel safe because i gave you a safety briefing. but ultimately, it's experimental and there was no regulation, there was no oversight in it wasn't because that system is not in place. this industry has tremendous, tremendous success with manufacturing equipment is when someone goes outside the system and ignores the rules because there's rules are made because they were a lot of a lot of people paid some prices early on and now underwater exploration and the systems were put in place to protect me. and if you want to go outside that as they manufacturer as fine as long as did you and your testing whether making the risks when

dependable gold distributors in america. >> this morning, instagram is announcing some potentially big changes. its most dramatic effort yet to better protect young people using the social media platform, rolling out new rules, giving parents more oversight and control over what their kids see cnn's clare duffy is tracking this one for us and she's here with us now. so what are the changes starting next week? >> instagram is going to start automatically applying these new teen account settings for all users under 18. so here's what that's going to look like all teen accounts, new and existing will be made private, which means even if you're a teen influencer, your account will be made private. there's going to be new restrictions on who can message teens who can tag them and photos and comments. it's going to auto default teen accounts to sleep mode, which means that they won't receive notifications. overnight.esll receive auto responses. and it's going to start warning teens when they've spent one hour on the platform each day. and teens will also be limited in terms of the kinds of sensitive content that they can see in their feet. so think like posts promoting cosmetic
6:55 am
procedures. but what i think is the biggest change here is that 16 and 17 teens will be able to go in and manually change these settings back if they want to. but 13 to 15 year-olds will have to receive parental approval well on the app, which means if their account isn't already linked to a parent's account for supervision, they're going to have to set that up if they want less restrictive setting, potentially more oversight for parents here 16 and 17 year-olds. get i got to turn it off themselves. >> they can turn it off this will look for about eight seconds to 16 and 70 reply, understand that the targets may for the younger audience there one did this all go into effect? >> so teens are going to start today seeing notifications, letting the node that this is coming, and then starting next week for teens in the u.s. uk, canada, and australia, these teens, these changes will automatically go into effect and then a little roll out to the rest of the world later this year and next year. >> wow. >> i mean, i think i need them totally
6:56 am
one i'd like is there a way to get around this because obviously they asked they ask the user for their birthday, right? >> so you could put in anything really? >> yeah, this is the big question i think because it instagram doesn't really do age verification, so it's easy enough for teens to lie, but the company says that they're implementing new ai to try to catch people when they do this see many, how many kids, how many kids are unclear. i mean, this is so many of the most popular social media platforms in the u.s. and in the world. so this is something that, you know, instagram has made some of these sort of menial changes, procedural things over the years. but this is a more comprehensive ever taken. >> a lot of heat and criticism for the lack of doing they now until now. thanks, clare. >> thank you so much. >> this has been cnn news central with john berman, kate bolduan, sara sidner, there is breaking news. we do have our hands on the indictment of sean diddy combs. we will tell you what's inside of it. cnn newsroom up next that took culture over the edge.
