daughter being rush td to a hospital. a source close to the family tells cnn that she has since been released. tonight the music industry is honoring houston at the grammy awards. i want to bring in our casey who is following the investigation very closely. it is good to talk to you and get some of the behind the scenes. you mentioned that we have heard from the coroner in this case. take us deeper inside this investigation. >> that's right. as you mentioned the coroner came out this afternoon and revealed that the autopsy on whitney houston's body has been completed. he said there were no visible signs of trauma and that foul play is not suspected at this time. but that is about all that he would say. that is because the beverly hills police department has requested that a security hold

be placed on the results of this autopsy to allow their investigation to proceed. there were many people at the beverly hilton hotel when whitney houston died. there is a lot of evidence that they need to go through. the coroner is saying these security holds are very common especially in high profile celebrity deaths. one was placed on the autopsy of michael jackson, for example. the coroner saying he would not discuss reports of prescription medication bottles found in the hotel room or the possibility that any other drugs may or may not have been found there. he is saying he will not have other comment until perhaps wednesday of this week. those toxicology results will not be available for perhaps six to eight weeks according to the coroner. that means we may not know exactly what killed whitney

houston for some time. >> it came as a shock to a lot of people today when we learned about her daughter having to go to the hospital. i think they said she had to go to the hospital twice. she has been released. do we know where she is now? >> our understanding as you mentioned is this afternoon she was taken to medical center here in los angeles and she was there for a couple of hours. she has been released according to sources. she is traveling back to new jersey we are told, to be with family. >> thank you very much. good job on reporting the inside of this investigation. we'll look to you until we get the toxicology results. whitney houston's bobby brown did not join his band mates at a new edition concert tonight. he was set to perform in nashville. george, what is the mood there tonight? what's going on? >> reporter: not the mood you

expect at a regular concert. this concert was just about to start a few minutes ago when we went inside. when people went to the front door this is what they saw that bobby brown would not appear with new edition. fans were told they could get their money back. people we spoke to seemed to understand. obviously bobbi christina was in the hospital today. people tell me they are supporting the family. they want to be here for bobby brown but they say being here is bittersweet. take a listen. >> i would have loved to have seen bobby tonight. i saw bobby years ago in south carolina. he was awesome then and i was looking forward to it. i understand he needs to be with his daughter. >> my heart goes out to him and whitney's family. when i heard that he was in a concert last night and he heard i expected for him to leave immediately. the fact that he came here to

nashville not knowing if he was going to do the show or not but then hearing about his daughter and immediately left, he had to go. >> reporter: bobby brown was here in nashville at one point but we confirmed he has left the city. he did release this statement that i would like to read to you. i am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex'wife, whitney houston. at this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter. i appreciate the condolences for my family and i at this difficult time. people say they are here to support bobby brown and his family. some people missed seeing him but people say they understand. >> thank you very much. i should tell our viewers this is not confirmed but i am being told bobby brown came to l.a. to pick his daughter up and bring her back to the east coast.

today. texas has been hit hard. take a look at pictures. this is outside of amarillo where interstate 40 was shut down for a while due to snow and freezing rain coming down. lots of accidents have occurred. you can see the backup. lots of semis were jackknifed in this area. that snow is still coming down. i 40 a big thoroughfare. a lot of people travel along that. i 20 has been bad, as well. this is going to continue into tomorrow. this is a storm system we have two of them. this is what we are going to be tracking in the week ahead. by tomorrow morning in places like kansas city, places like omaha and des moines getting snoempt ain't louis by the afternoon with likely a wintery mix. that is the pink where the roads get really slick. just wet on the south side here. dallas probably rain for you. it heads to the southeast by tuesday morning.

atlanta the freezing stuff along the ohio river and the snow in detroit and places like chicago. tomorrow's commute tonight. let's start out with our top five list. this is the list you don't want to be on. kansas city number five, snow, rain and freezing rain. accumulation is pretty light, just a couple of inches. oklahoma city you're number four. rain, sleet and snow. the snow is coming in as we speak. we'll see more of a mix. take a look at city number three. there it is. san francisco out west on the storm number two we were talking about. rain showers and wind. it is going to be really low for that cloud deck. we expect a lot of delays at the airport there in san francisco. city number two, houston texas you are going to get the showers and thunderstorms for that storm. we are also a little concerned about a slight risk of some severe thunderstorms houston so keep that in mind and keep safety plans in mind. city number one, take a look at this tower cam.

knew so many of the same people that she knew, michael jackson, all of these people that i knew of course through dream girls and then aretha franklin and singers and staff. i got to know her just as a nice person. she was always kind hearted. when i had fallen up on hard times and lost my home and trying to get my career back together she kind of stepped in to try to figure out how to get work. she would offer me jobs. one time she had a birthday party and said i can book you to sing for that. she and i were label mates briefly. i sang for the clive davis party. she personally took me around to people, introduced me and personally was always trying to show that she cared about people.

she was that same with her musicians early on. i learned from her how to treat musicians in terms of her piano player who was a musical director. she loved him. his death was one of her first tragic deaths, the loss of the piano player and how she cared for them and the family. she has always been a very caring person. i think it got mixed up because she didn't have a lot to say about a lot of things. i'm very deep and analytical about stuff. she didn't feel darkness from her. you can get that from some artist. you didn't feel that. you felt light from her. she was always uplifting and trying to help people by connecting them. >> jennifer holiday, also one of the nicest people i know, as well. up next a conversation with the queen of soul, aretha

know that she could trust you, that you were on her side and that you were there for her best. so that was like letter a, the love and the trust. give her flowers or a teddy bear and always make it feel homely and relaxed. and then we get on to wonderful music where she will pour her heart out. she trusted me to help her make her best recordings. outside the studio she had a great sense of humor. loved to laugh and be happy. electricity going through her. her heart was full of fire. very dynamic person. very beautiful person. everyone would love to talk to her and approach her. that was a wonderful quality that she had. >> it's funny that you should say that because i have an older sister with the same personality.
