she went through and made her sad and made her tough. as i would see her talk about this i would see this heaviness come up on her. i'm the type of person when i see this i want to say something encouraging. before i could get words out to encourage her she would say but the lord. the conversation went on, the conversation went on. she would go back to the sadness. just about when i'm about to step in she would say my lord and savior jesus christ and his amazing grace. it was at that moment that i knew i would do all i can to stand with her. from that moment until now i have been standing with the family and her and i am thankful to god for all he has done in her life. there are two constants that i know about whitney houston and one is there was a grace that carried her from heaven down

through my sister houston. she wasn't even supposed to be able to speak let alone sing because of an incident happened as a child but there was a grace that kept on carrying her through. the same grace led her to the top of the charts, sold these albums and done amazing things. she sang for presidents. there was a great that kept on carrying her. that's one thing i know. and the other thing i know for sure more important than anything she has done in her life, whitney houston loved the lord. [ applause ] >> every conversation we had over these years it was evident that she loved the lord. she loved the lord. when i think about it there is a scripture that keeps burning in my heart, the apostle paul saying i am persuaded nothing shall separate me from the love

of god. so what i know about her is that nothing separated her from the love of god. if you look at what paul was saying he was saying neither hype meaning no far she went in the stratosphere nothing separated her, neither height nor depth. no matter what she had to go through or walk through it wasn't enough to separate her from the love of god nor principalities nor power nor things present nor to come, nothing was able to separate her from the love of god. ♪ tears on my pillow refusing to let go when i heard you left here ♪ ♪ felt alone on a playground

and bobby, christina, you two always be proud of your mama. she loved you so very much. she defined not only pure talent but true heart and soul, as well. she'll forever be looking after you and will never let go of your hand. so as i said earlier last week, last week whitney came by my hotel, hotel bungalow alone. no body guards, no security. just whitney and me. and she played her new cuts from
