6:37 pm
outside for ball two. >> rob: this may be the best opportunity for the nationals to tie this ballgame right here. you don't want to get to rhodes and weathers and cordero if you can help it. >> johnny: hernandez wants to go out and talk the his pitcher. >> rob: with a guy on second, you don't want the runner, nieves, relating any kind of information to his hitter. whether it be location or the pitch that is coming. interesting there's a catcher at second. he may be able to decipher the amazingly complex codes between the catcher and pitcher. >> johnny: and the 2-2. down to third. force at third. they give up the run. willingham scores.
6:38 pm
guzman got him home and there's two on with two out. >> rob: well, right here trying to put the ball in play. you see cristian guess map slap it to -- guzman slap it to 3rd base. that will get at least one in. probably had a play at home on willingham. but hairston takes the smart plate. get an out any way you can. two outs. >> johnny: in the replay, looked like he could have maybe had a play at home. >> rob: john lannan, deep in thought right there on the bench. he did his job. he did a great job again today. >> johnny: 6 innings pitched. >> rob: and he has lowered his e.r.a. it is well under 3 now after that last start and with today. >> johnny: only one of the two

6:44 pm
there's one down in the red 7. >> rob: right here, you hear elijah calling him off. that is the centerfielder's bawl. josh keeps coming and thankfully, those two big boys did not collide because that collision would have hurt maybe both of them or one of them. both of them look like they can play tight end. we have one of the biggest teams i have ever seen. definitely don't think anybody would ever want to play our team. >> johnny: chris dickerson will pinch hit again. hollywood, california. 2-1 reds in the top of the 7th, nationals park. count one ball and one strike.
6:45 pm

6:48 pm
driven in only 3 runs. tavarez the 0-2 pitch. some nights they have hairston leading off and some nights they have willy taveras leading off. taveras should be the lead off. trying to get one of them to take off the lead-off role. but taveras, the speedster, i don't know if he has a hit this series. 0-3 today. >> johnny: and julian tavarez racks up a strikeout as he heads to the doubt. got him to swing at a bad pitch, rob. that thing was down in the strike zone. >> rob: did a great job. one, two, three inning. keep it right there.
