mind, he would have leaned over, probably wouldn't have caught that ball, but that's just a bonus when you can take the routine ball and turn it into an out instead of it being a base hit. scutaro to me is very good inside of the plate hitter. when you're getting on base as much as he is, you know how to work the count pretty well.

oscar, it's a good time to rest people. if you look at aubrey huff, this is the first year i can remember where he played every day in the field. put you can dh him sometimes, put salazar if there, give him a day off. so there's a lot of opportunities as the season progresses if he plays on this club, and i'll tell you what, somebody is going to snatch him up if they try to get him back to the minor leagues, because he has proven he can hit and hit. that's a smart hitter. got a great pitch to hit, but you still have to go out and hit it, and he didn't miss it. >> jim h: well, he can play first and third, can dh. he can play at shortstop. not his best position, but he can play there. he'll even go in the outfields for you. so wiggington down in the count, 2-2 now. >> jim p: is well, there is one of those tack on runs you

son have pitched well together. >> jim h: le well, they have, and that's what you want. but i know brad bergesen is the guy that even though he's been pitching very well, he'll go back and look at this game and say maybe i could have mixed in in a few more change-ups, when we start the second half, he'll have to do that, because when you pitch as well as he has, people goring to notice and make think adjustment. seems to me like he has three pitches he can throw for strikes. >> jim h: and what has been encouraging about bergesen, he has proven to be very coachable, and of all of the pitchers, he seems to adjust to the adversity that he has in a game, and really can build from that. >> jim p: yeah, and all of that adversity came early on. his last game he got one hit by jarod washburn, so you say well, i sleet to change a few things, but all in all, i pitched well enough to win, and he has certainly donees that again this afternoon. and he can pick up his 6th

frustrating thing for gaston, is that again the 13 one-run paul games, they've lost 12 of them, even though they do a lot of things right. unable to get at least so far the big hit. >> jim h: there is izturis, batting with one out and nobody on. there's a tapper hit towards short, tough play, scutaro charges, throws on the run, not in time, and it's into the stands! and izturis will be awarded second base. so that will be a single and an error, and the orioles looking for an ad-on run, have izturis at second base.
