that fast ball. >> we'll be returning with nick. >> i think it started about the 4th start of the season, when he threw as hard as he could. the most important thing for any pitcher is tempo. it's not to get the ball and get on the mound as fast as you can. you deliver the ball. you can't go out there and try to throw 97 miles per hour when you're only a 94 miles per hour guy. if i can equate it to the game of golf, you go and swing as hard as you can, you're going to struggle hitting the ball where you want to do it all the time. same with the pitcher. when you overthrow, it's heck to try to find out the release point and where you're going to throw the ball. you heard guthrie talking ability finding consistency with the fast ball. it has everything to do with the tempo.

he's done, how much has he improved? >> enough that organizations now know nick inskpaoeud out. they spend a lot of time watching film on his swing. one of the sweetest swings in all of baseball, he can hit any pitch. the better teams will spend more time watching nick and seeing how he makes his outs and how ever team pitches, especially two strikes. a lot of teams go after him with a fast ball. as long as he continues to swing at that pitch, they are going to exploit him and not give him any pitches to hit. when they make them bring the ball down, he's going struggle through stretches. when he forces them to throw him strikes, it's two strikes especially, when he's going to be able to get back on track again, once he makes them
