so, is 68 good enough? >> well it's different than last week, i was one-under, and 9 5th and i'm two-under, and i'm 8th. you could shoot some good numbers. but i haven't seen to play this long, in a while. it was playing longer than it normally does. but, you know, you can go out there, a little bit aggressive, and get some numbers. >> you took a bit of a different route, you won here six times. you didn't go visit hazelton. are you doing that to save the leg or you decided to do it. >> i never played, more than nine holes ever, here. >> for the week. >> between four and nine holes. that's the route that i want to take. >> it seems to have worked. >> it hasn't changed. same every year. not like they do big renovations.

>> in other news, stallworth has been suspended, by the nfl, for driving drunk and killing reyes, stallworth met with the commissioner, wednesday, in new york, and today, stallworth issued a public statement saying, it is clear, that i exercised poor judgment and caused harm to reyes and the nfl, and to my fellow players, going forward i'm committed to conducting he said i respect his authority and his judgment. whatever he decides, is appropriate. i will accept knowing that i have affected the nfl and its relationship with the fans.

>> david wells, the cousin and adviser for crabtree says he's prepared to sit out, and reenter the draft in 2010. contract talks have stalled. >> this from wells, in response he said we are prepared to do it, meaning sitting out, the 2009 season. michael wants fair-market value. here's a look, took him with the 10th pick and you have he was one of the best players in the draft and he wants to be paid like one of the best players. this week is very crucial. >> parker, denies that any threat to sit out, to play, and 49ers have no comment.

>> joe schad is reporting that david wells, says he is prepared to sit out the entire season, and reenter the draft, and we have a guest on the phone, right now, and he is, matt, covers the 49ers, and he joins us on the phone. first of all, has crabtree threatened to sit out? >> well, they have not threatened the 49ers with that. the whole idea, behind the holdout, you're prepared to make it last a long time. but, according to the sources that i have spoken to, parker, the agent nor crabtree has told them that they're prepared to sit out the entire season. >> how would you describe the status of the contract negotiations at this point. >> they're nonexistent. i think, a contract negotiation has to start with both sides

agreeing, on the concepts and the concept, that, the 49ers are working under, is that crabtree was the number 10 overall pick this the draft. and they're prepared, and they've, the people i talked to said they have offered him a fair contract, using that. however, on crabtree's side said he should get a contract, say the number 5 pick in the draft because he was drafted longer -- later than he should have. so, just the overall concepts are the sides are worlds apart. >> do you believe that crabtree will play for the 49ers this season? >> i think he will. i just can't see, that, it would benefit either side, and, he is in this to get a good contract. i can't see any possibility, that he could look at this and

say, my best chance of getting a big money deal, the kind of money that i deserve is by going in the draft next year. who is going to pick him in the top-ten picks if he sits out a full season. couldn't work out and questions about his speed would would note answered and the diva questions come up. and i think that, it just would be horrible for his reputation and his career, to, sit out and try to roll his dice in the draft once again. >> matt covers the 49ers for the democrat. thanks for being with us. >> thank you, mark. >> it will go down to the wire. we'll let you know if the tigers held.

they added a few bunkers but you can't tell. >> when you're playing a course that you know well, are you thinking about the next shot or in between shots are you trying to relax, and step back, because you have such familiarity with this course? >> just trying to plod my way along. figure out the best angle or, greens, remember putts that i had from those locations and get a feel for that. you take time off, here and there, but, i've always been one who usually focuses pretty good. >> what did you find on the back nine, on the back-to-back birdie? >> hit some good shots. it was nice. some of the things that i was working on, monday, tuesday at home. put it together, in stretches today. i hit a good front nine. and i hit a good, hit a couple bad shots, and got it back.

would you still consider the season, would you call it a disappointment? >> no it's been a success, to come back and play again. and to play as consistent as i've played, this year, considering how i felt at the beginning of the year. i didn't know. and, from what i was playing through, last year, during the open. i thought that was similar to how i would be feeling coming back this year. i didn't know. all that was, an unknown starting out the year, and how long would it take for me for get my game back, after taking such a long time away from it. and, having some -- some big adjustments that i had to make. >> would you say you're ahead of schedule? >> absolutely. to win four times. i don't think anyone would have seen that. you guys didn't. >> woods finishes the rounds with three birdies and one

we have a adviser and cousin of crabtree saying they're prepared to sit out the season, and reenter the draft, in 2010, if they don't get what they want from the niners. your thoughts. >> right now it is just rhetoric. who is doing the talking? it's not crabtree, and his agent. that's the first part. second part is, all the guys around him aren't signed either. that's not easy to do, and they talked, the person who said this, said they wanted fair-market value. and the market has not been determined. so, what's going to happen, they're afraid to jump into the pool first. those things happen. i think, parker, has, been around a little while. and he's a good agent. and he understands what he is doing, and why he is doing it. and so, it will work itself out. but, he needs to get himself in
