line. kelley washington spent the last two years with the new england patriots, joe flacco liked having that big slot target. >> stan: he's a big guy. he's been on two teams, cincinnati and new england, he knows what team is all about, he is on the opposite end of spectrum with what team is with those two franchises. >> gerry: gets out to the 40- yard line before justin tryon can make the sack. that means the ravens are getting things done if you're getting the secondary to make the tackles, your offense is clicking. >> stan: the ravens tore up the redskins last year, and the redskins, their defense ranked fourth in the nfl last year. they added albert haynesworth and brian orakpo, the first round draft pick.

did not have a single reception throughout the season, but much like kelley washington, marcus smith gives flacco another one of those big body intermediate receivers. >> stan: he actually had one completion but it got taken away by a penalty. you thought you were going to keep the ball from my first nfl catch, all of a sudden it was taken away. and these don't really count. but they count for him making the team. >> gerry: opening seconds, second quarter. mcgahee got to the 30-yard line. shoves a man out of his way and gets down close to the 22-yard line. h.b. blades finally on the stop. but mcgahee with a 16-yard gain. >> stan: did a good job of cutting it back all the way to the back side of the play. wilson mcgahee, i remember seeing him in the national championship game his last game when he got hurt, and before he got hurt, he was one of the

best backs i ever saw. he has come back, but now he's got -- he's got to re-establish himself if he wants to stay on this ravens team past this year. >> gerry: a penalty flag down as willis mcgahee backs his way inside the 20-yard line. >> referee: illegal shift, number 81 was in motion while the tight end was going down. >> gerry: marcus smith will now catch the wrath of john harbaugh as he commits a negative. >> stan: that wasn't his fault. he is going in motion. the tight end has to be set. he either has to wait for the tight end to be set. that tight end knows once he gets in motion, he can't move around. he was in motion, the tight end decided to change his position. that put two guys in motion at the same time. >> gerry: you know it's preseason when after a penalty john harbaugh is on the

sidelines consulting with terrell suggs. you don't see that in september. far sideline, in and out of the hands of marcus smith, he had the ball moment tearing at the -- momentarily at the 10-yard line. >> stan: what a good throw though. he just, he just got that ball in there. that takes an arm to get it in there. look at that ball. i don't know if he got a finger on that or not. but that was a great throw by joe flacco. there's not a lot of quarterbacks that can make that throw consistently. >> gerry: flacco 8 of 13 so far the first half for 96 yards. looking at a second down and 15 from the washington 26. it's incomplete. he was looking for demetrius williams, but williams appeared to lose his footing. >> stan: he may have thrown that a little early. i think he saw the pressure coming. the ball was there before

demetrius even gets turned on that. looked like joe just saw the pressure and threw it just a count early. >> gerry: flacco getting a little extra work. he is being allowed to finish off this drive in the opening minutes of the second quarter. a little more than 13 noints play in the half. on third and 15. flacco with time, checked down pass goes to mcgahee. he'll be far shy of the first down taken down close to the 18- yard line by alex buzz buy. for a second time tonight we get a look at steven hauschka. not the worst outcome. when you're looking for a new field goal kicker, hauschka will come on with sam koch holding. now we're looking at 37-yard field goal attempt. >> stan: michael oher is back in the game, has been for a couple of plays now.

>> gerry: hauschka's kick is up and it is good. with 12:30 left to play in the first half.

scoring drives. joe flacco finding kelley washington, then willis mcgahee, a 16-yard run that puts steven hauschka in position for his second field goal of the night. for hauschka, a 37-yarder and he's been 2 for 2. this night playing out very favorably for steven hauschka. michael oher back in the game after getting treatment for a putt on his forehead. those are stitches you don't mind seeing your offensive lineman earn. >> stan: he's been impressive with his strength, his ability to stay with blocks, his intensity. of course we know he's a great athlete and a big body. >> gerry: hauschka kicked off for a third time. across the 20, and he is lifted up on a pile of ravens and dropped down at about the 23- yard line.

antwaan barnes who has shown some great aggressiveness in this first half. and a quarterback change now for the redskins as todd collins, a 15 year veteran, will take over the washington offense. >> stan: i think antwaan barnes has got to show some things. he hasn't quite been able to show those high hopes yet and he's getting more and more competition. >> gerry: it's almost intercepted by antwaan barnes, just singing the praises of how well he's played here in the first half. >> stan: for a 15 year veteran to throw the ball late to the flat, boy, you shouldn't do that. he could have scored if he'd have caught that ball. the defender had something to do with breaking it up.

>> gerry: marcus mason the lone back on second and 10. he is able to dart his way out to the 27-yard line where jameel mcclain brings him to a stop. jameel mcclain figuring prominently in the battle for the line backing corps. jameel mcclain made the team last night as an undrafted free agent. >> stan: he can play on special deals, he had two safties last year, he did a lot of good things. >> gerry: third down and 5. they'll rule it incomplete. a rookie knack mora with a terrific strip from hagans. instead it's three and out for the redskins. and this ravens defense starting to look awfully

familiar. >> stan: the ravens work on this all the time. they just ripped the arms away from the football. he did a great job of getting into the arms of the receiver. >> gerry: somehow he weaves his way through traffic, gets across the 30-yard line, out to about the 32. ravens ball when we come back to shade shade. to m & t bank stadium.

>> gerry: troy smith will take over as quarterback for the ravens. the ravens in front of the redskins 6-0. the former heisman trophy winner back in 2006, the buckeye, a guy who has been remarkably versatile. last year, health issues took him out of the competition for the starting job and opened the door for joe flacco. cam cameron has still found ways to use him. tonight strictly at quarterback. troy smith, in and out of the hands of justin harper, the second year receiver from virginia tech. and let's go take a look, rob, at the offensive keys.

stan, you take it. >> stan: it's run effectually, especially to michael oher. i think they've done that. they've ran the ball effect irvly, they've thrown the ball effect irvly, stretched the field. that's one of the guys, justin harper, that needs to stretch the field. >> gerry: can he pose for a skinny receiver? second down and 10 for the ravens. same pattern, same results as justin harper again cannot hold on to it with kareem moore closing from the safety spot. twice cam cameron goes to the former hokey, twice it comes up empty. >> stan: both throws are not the greatest throws, you saw a little bit of short arm there. i think you have to go after that football if you're trying to make the football team. >> gerry: harper has had moments in camp where he has looked spectacular, then other moments where a catchable ball

was not pulled in. whistles blow prior to the snap. >> stan: so not a great start for troy here. >> gerry: ravens called a time- out to avoid the penalty as the play clock was running down. not the easiest thing in the world to step in in the second quarter. at some restaurants when you get boneless wings... what are you really paying for? whoa! ha ha! i say "happy," you say "birthday!" happy... birthday! who's hungry?

good play on marcus getting down on those special teams. >> gerry: as the number two's start to populate the defense for the ravens, we'll see if they can continue to contain washington. he has no room to run. talavou is a guy who caught the ravens attention last year, big body guy, you can't miss the hair sticking out the back end, kind of has a troy polamalu sense of fashion, but by no means a troy polamalu body. >> stan: not at all. he's done a good job. he faces an uphill battle with all the defensive tackles they have on this football team. >> gerry: facing the lone back for todd collins. he gets the ball across the 25. it will be third down.

>> rob: we have a couple of things from the first half. you were talking about watching kelly gregg coming off the surgery. about 7 or 8 play, made two tackles, looked good. he was able to change direction. much to the delight of the defensive line coach who kind of gave me a wink when he saw kelly come off the field. >> gerry: so important for the ravens to have kelly gregg come back, because it gives them a great rotation. that is a middle of the defense, you're going to have to account for. collins pass is caught at the 30-yard line. malcolm kelly, the second year receiver out of oklahoma, but he will be shy of the first down. the redskins on their fourth possession of the night will have to punt the ball away for the fourth time. >> stan: it makes the quarterback throw the ball before the receiver can get downfield far enough for the

first down. >> gerry: hunter smith on to punt. wynn backs up on a good punt. has it at the 15. he'll get out to about the 25- yard line. darius webb competing with chris carr for those return jobs. 55-yard punt, 11-yard return for the third round draft pick. troy smith and the offense will come back on the field. third down has been the domain of the ravens defense. last year they were third best in the nfl, holding teams to a conversion rate under 34%. win a lot of games doing that. >> stan: right now those three teams are being talked about as super bowl con tenders this year. >> gerry: parmele will carry on

first down, tries to get around the edge and can't do it. they're going spot this one close to the 28-yard line. jalen parmele is another guy cam cameron raves about. >> stan: they really like him. he had him down in miami when he was the head coach down there, and he liked parmele and thinks he can really add something. he really thinking he can go. is there room for him here? who knows. >> gerry: unfortunately before you can add, we have to subtract. an illegal formation. makes it second and 15. he's looking for a wide open smith, he's got him midfield and into redskins territory. he'll get down to the 46-yard line.

moore pushed him out of bounds and the explosiveness we had heard about the former philadelphia eagle evident for all to see on that play. >> stan: i liked his speed there. the other day we were told that he was faster than todd heap and we didn't believe that. boy, he looked like he could run on that one. they got him maxed up on the linebacker and that is a mismatch. when you get a tight end with a little bit of speed matched up on a linebacker, you should go to him right away. >> gerry: troy smith with the connection to l.j. smith. short drop, he fires high looking for ernie wheelreichert you're firing really high when you miss him. >> stan: troy has caught four passes and three of them really have not been accurate enough. the one to smith was right on the money, but the two that were dropped by harper could have been better passes. probably should have been caught. they could have been better

passes. >> gerry: troy smith 1 of 5 in the second quarter. ravens in front of the redskins 6-0. smith has put the ball in the redskins territory. he takes a big hit as he reached the 45-yard line. he gained a yard and it was a painful yard. h.b. blades the hammer, parmele the nail. >> stan: blades did a good job at pittsburgh, now he's really catching on. he's played better in the nfl than i really thought he would when i saw him at pitt. >> gerry: you know you're a free thinking kid when your disad a star in miami and you go to pitt. that doesn't play real well with the youth contingent. redskins showing blitz on third and 9. here he comes. incomplete.

justin harper had a hand on it near the 30, but again could not pull it in. >> stan: he threw that right to the sideline, a dangerous pass. it was right on the money, something that probably should have been caught again. that's a hard throw right there. only got one hand on, you can see orakpo putting pressure on him. that was a good throw for that situation. >> gerry: cook has to come out and punt the ball. it's a rugby style end over end punt. and a fair catch is made at the 10-yard line.

>> gerry: the ravens lead the redskins 6-0, after a quality sam cook punt, one of the regulars who will play all four quarters. he's the only punter on the ravens roster this year. what a punter he has turned out to be. the former nebraska cornhusker, last year led the nfl in dropping punts inside the 10- yard line. last year he dropped 18 punts inside the 10-yard line. tonight he puts one just outside the 10. the redskins will start this drive on their 11-yard line. scott collins will hand off to marcus, he had nowhere to go as knack mora comes up to make the

stop. when you have a hunter like sam cook who does more than just punt it, it really gives you a strategic edge. >> stan: he can also hit the long ones. he can hit 70-yard punts. he's done that. he has the ravens record long punt. he can do both, and that makes you really valuable which is why he got a new contract. >> gerry: now the completion out across the 20-yard line to devin thomas. thomas will have a first down as he gets the ball to the 23- yard line. todd collins moves the chains for the first time tonight. chris carr on the stop. from this point forward you will start to hear a lot of new names for the ravens. but don't confuse that with guys that are only going to be here the summer. >> stan: you saw it was a double move and a stop.

a pump up, then stop again. it's tough to cover that long. >> gerry: first first down of the quarter for the redskins. completes it out at the 27-yard line. eddie williams is taken down at the 20, a little shy of the 29- yard line by taveras gooden. a man you're going to want to hear a lot of throughout the season. >> stan: he's the heir apparent at this time. paul krueger did a nice job of getting out in the throwing lane. he did get in the throwing lane. >> gerry: second and 4. they're not going to have much in the way of positive results. marcus mason had nowhere to run. edwards missed all of last year following back surgery. good penetration into the backfield. rob burnett talked about him

earlier in the broadcast, the importance of having him back. >> stan: also can play end, he's very versatile, but that was paul scrugger again. he manhandled the tight end. got in the backfield and forced the running back to run east and west and bought time for the rest of the guys to catch up. >> gerry: collins under pressure, nice catch for a first down, out at the 41-yard line. malcolm kelly pulled it down for a 13-yard gain. the kind of catches justin harper was not making earlier in the quarter. that's the catch kelly made right there. threw the ball high and malcolm kelly, one of the guys the redskins look for big things from this year, big catch for first down there.

collins, right back to kelly, and kelly will get out close to midfield. they'll spot that at the 48- yard line. chris carr with the help of -- needs the help of barnes to bring kelly down. he's a big kid. second year out of oklahoma. you always sound bigger when you're from oklahoma. 3:30 to play in the half. >> referee: false start number 62 offense. 5-yard penalty. still second down. >> gerry: that unfortunately becomes the achilles heel of the preseason. because coaches have to look at so many different players, once your regulars are out, it's very difficult to get the cohesiveness you need to put

together long scoring drives. jim zorn sees something going now with collins and the young offensive lineman jumps the gun. collins 5 of 5 on this drive for 43 yards. collins the swing pass. and it's across midfield before gooden can pull him down at the ravens 47-yard line. so washington gets another first down with just under three minutes to play in the half. taveras gooden we were talking about was the heir apparent coming into this year's camp, but john harbaugh loves competition. he's not going to hand this job to gooden. he's going to make him earn it and he's going to have to compete with the lights of jameel mcclain and ellerbee to make sure that does in fact become his job. collins on the play fake, all kinds of time. down to the 35.

ball comes loose. ravens say they have it. let's see if the officials conquer. concur. turned the corner, had the first down. the ball came loose. and davis able to come up with the loose ball. we have reached the 2 minute warning.

him tear it up this season. >> gerry: you mentioned contract year. for some guys that's a big deal. i don't care if there's a nickel on the table or a million bucks in the pot, he is a guy who does not play with a mind of money. >> rob: no, he doesn't. >> gerry: i say that with supreme compliment. he was looking for devin thomas on a quick screen. he's lucky he didn't throw the ball right into the hands of chris carr. justin bannon is one of those guys, if you found yourself in a dark alley in trouble, you would pray he came out of the shadows to help you. >> rob: they can go in a bar anywhere in the world with me. >> gerry: 6'3", 310, out of colorado. did a great job last year, justin bannon's performance really, i think caught a lot of people by surprise, but not the defensive coaches. it's third down and 6, ball at

the ravens 30. >> referee: delay the game, offense, five-yard penalty, still third down. >> gerry: there lies the danger of changing the play at the line of scrimmage when you're a 15 year veteran and the players around you are younger. jim zorn will have to change the play he gives to collins. i have to believe you have a different strategy in mind. >> rob: younger players are rookies. when those guys bring eight, nine guys up to the line of scrimmage. he also has to change the protection as well, and if these guys aren't in their play books during training camp, they don't know where to go. that quarterback, he's not going to let anybody run loose and hit him in the chin. >> gerry: collins did not throw the ball once last season in

get the ball at about a 45-yard field goal try for hauschka to close out the first half. >> rob: yes, it would be great for the ravens, whether you do that or you get your offense some work. >> gerry: if you could get points, all the better. six points as far as the lead, never gives you the confidence level. stepping out of bounds with the ball is yamon figurs who had one catch last year for a touchdown, has his first catch of the preseason. and that sets up a third down and 4 at the 32-yard line of the redskins. from here you're looking at a 50-yard field goal. that's a test for hauschka, once he passed last year. >> rob: he has a super strong leg. >> gerry: four receivers.

smith has got his man, complete inside the 20-yard line. justin harper. harper had dropped three passes on the last possession. the ravens rushed to the line and again, troy smith will turf the ball stopping the clock with 19 seconds left in the half. >> rob: it's a nice slant pattern. in the preseason, like cam cameron said, they're going to throw to a guy. i guarantee you they're going to keep feeding justin harper until he shows what he can do in a ravens uniform. >> gerry: in the first quarter, second quarter, there's still some butterflies. >> rob: but he's got have a short memory like a lot of players in this league. >> gerry: short memory, long game. as troy smith runs for the right. back to the end zone. it deflects off of justin harper who was recovered by

gowdy. >> rob: i think he knew what he was doing. as you see here, he ran a little post corner and just threw it basically, if the ravens receiver doesn't get it, no one's going to get it. here's another look. >> gerry: good play by dowdy, and that puts the ravens with 11 seconds left. they either get to the end zone or they'll have to bring hauschka on to attempt a field goal. troy smith pumping once, throwing to the end zone, touchdown. justin harper, a 19-yard score as steven hauschka will come on only to attempt the extra point. >> rob: justin harper is a guy they want to see on film. they're going to throw to a guy. it's not like the regular season where they throw to a progression of patterns. >> gerry: if there were the regular season, i think you might see a red flag from jim

zorn because harper bobbled the ball just a little bit as he made his way toward the back of the end zone. didn't catch it cleanly. but he was able to reel this one in. the ravens have the first touchdown of the preseason. five seconds left in the opening half. justin harper who had started in the second quarter with a case of three consecutive drops comes up with two big catches on the drive. he figures prominently. the ravens cap it with a 19- yard touchdown throw, troy smith to justin harper. >> rob: an outstanding first half for the ravens. they've done just about everything you want to do in a first preseason game. they played defense real well, they were able to get their guys in and out and production on offense, running game,

passing game, everything. >> gerry: the last time these two met, it was in december. john harbaugh and jim zorn squared off as rookie head coaches. a game that has significantly higher stakes that helped propel the ravens into the postseason and it helped to deflate the redskins postseason hopes. this is more of a convention of job seekers, but for the ravens, justin harper has seen his stock go down and then up. steven hauschka has been all up. downed immediately there. chris wilson falling on the ball. two seconds left in the half. that means todd collins will have to come back and take one snap. >> rob: first preseason game here, you go victory or you go

hail mary. >> gerry: i think when you're trailing by 13, you have to rename the formation from something other than victory. >> rob: that's true. >> gerry: they spread it out. redskins will go to the ground game. cartwright will run out the first half with a four yard gain. one half in the books. an impressive start to the preseason for john harbaugh's charges. we're going hear from the coach in just a minute. >> stan: thanks a lot. coach, a lot of talk about scoring in the red zone. it must be nice oh get this last touchdown. >> no doubt about it. the two guys that did in a situation that was really a pressure situation. we work on that all the time. we wanted to try to get a

the ravens showing that versatility they have been looking for. kelley washington, a newcomer, had two big receptions. he's excited. and then after kelley washington moved the ball down the field, justin harper, final play of the first half for the offense, a 19-yard reception for a score from troy smith. as the numbers show out, the ravens dominating this first half. which number says most to you, this is an offense getting on track? >> stan: twice as many rushing yards, twice as many passing yards, 50% on third down conversions. they've only had the ball three minutes more, so they've been very efficient with what they've done with the football. good first half offensively and defensively. now it's up to the young-uns to continue in the second half. >> gerry: the second half is

will negate a terrific catch. >> stan: i didn't see him go down. i didn't notice it live either. of course he was a defensive player, i coached him in the high school all-star game, then he went to iowa, started off as a defensive player in the nfl. now he's making the switch over to offense. >> gerry: troy smith throwing out of his end zone complete to parmele. gets back to the original line of scrimmage. >> stan: there's a lot of offensive guys that are sort of technique guys. the really good ones have that sort of defensive mentality where they attack. michael oher, i think he has a defensive mentality. he is trying to man handle, punish the defender. not just shield him off. >> gerry: you like to see that from your number one. he fires, complete, justin

squads. >> gerry: from the pocket, he's open and has it. yamon figurs has it just outside the redskins 30-yard line. he got behind the secondary and troy smith threw one of the toughest balls you can throw running left and throwing deep to his right. >> stan: he is able to make plays, one way or another, he uses his feet and his arm here to make the throw. he's going his left which is hard for a right-hander. he throws across his body. i don't know if that was a catch. >> gerry: they'll get it inside the redskins 30, down to the 28 on a jalen parmele carry. yamon figurs, a 45-yard gain. that was one of those plays you would see the red flag on in the fall, but not necessarily

in august. he had one foot down, but his second foot clearly on the sideline. preseason for everybody. this is the first time the officials have had a chance to see a game in progress. under pressure. running to the right. it is incomplete. as parmele was unable to turn back and take that pass off his hip. but a nice job by troy smith inside. >> stan: he has this unbelievable, inmate ability to move around in the pocket and find a way out of it. he finds his way out. that just puts so much pressure on the defense because you get guys running free then after that much time like yamon figurs was. he finds that time with his ability to get out of the pocket and make plays. he's a playmaker. >> gerry: ball at the redskins 27. ravens lead it 13-06789 third

end on the play. you'll not hear from todd heap any more tonight. a lot of these players that john harbaugh will now look at closely in the second half are players who perhaps aren't going to win a spot this year as a position player, but if they can show some skills as a position player they can win the job on special teams. >> stan: or they can make the practice squad, too, and become a developmental player. >> gerry: lost the ball in the end zone, it's out of bounds. edgar jones was -- justin harper was along the sidelines but he was not open. troy smith did a nice job of making sure nobody was going to get a hand on that ball. just get rid of the ball and try again on second and 15. >> stan: the linebacker does a nice job of looking him up and taking, he's basically the one man pattern. he caught the same pass on the

first play of this drive. >> gerry: the deep drop down the middle, has got a man, in and out of the hands of isaac. he had a touchdown, he couldn't hold on to it as robert henson closed on him. troy smith has looked so polished with his passing, and while joe flacco is clearly the starter on this team, in the nfl you better have two guys that can throw the ball. >> stan: the tight end would have been better off staying wider. he sort of curled back towards the middle and allowed that linebacker to close enough ground on him. he never turned his head around. >> gerry: smith will go from the shotgun from the washington 21. now the clock is breaking down.

out of bounds. and incomplete. the drive will stall, but at least for this night, that's this the the worst case scenario as graham gano will come on, an attempted field goal as troy smith and the offense will head to the sidelines. this will be about a 40-yard try. sam cook is going to spot the ball just past the 29-yard line. so you're looking at a 39-yard drive in between the hash marks for the rookie free agent of florida state. graham gano connected on 92% of his field goals in college. it is long enough and it is good. no worries of wide right from the former 7-0 on that one.

line. >> stan: mcclain missed him. he came through on a blints and had a shot at the quarterback and brennan just stepped up and he missed him. that's when you've got make the -- you've got to make the play. >> gerry: paul krueger, the other guy we've seen in the backfield, we've seen a lot in this game. the second round draft pick out of utah, wears the number michael mccrary used to wear and has a similar playing style. the ground game on first down. will gain only a yard on the play. that will set up a third down and long. i guess that high motor play the coaches rave about, is that because it's something you can't teach? >> stan: it is, it's inmate. some guys just do it naturally and they never shut down. i used to show my son films of

michael mccrary, show what it was like to play like that, and i couldn't have shown hem my films because i didn't have that natural motor. i had to get some more gas. >> gerry: third down and 11. far sideline and he overthrows hackett. the redskins will have to punt the ball away. fifth time tonight we have seen the redskins new punter, hunter smith, on for duty. webb will be deep. and this is a kid who has been electrifying in training camp drills. he has great speed. end over end rugby-style punt. webb will field it at the 15. backs his way to the 21-yard

houdini act to avoid the tack again. >> stan: couldn't quite get his weight distributed well to make that throw. the throw went right down into the ground. he just can't quite get his arm up enough to make that throw. >> gerry: a little wobbly. fielded inside the 40. hagans out of the crowd, but he goes backwards and is taken down at the 43-yard line where the redskins will go to work. let's go back to the running backs. this is a team now the ravens were fourth in the nfl in rushing last year, did it without a thousand yard rusher, and they have three guys who are going to want the ball. ray rice is a three down back. willis mcgahee is a terrific

two down back and mcclain is a powerful back when you are inside the red zone. >> stan: it's going to be a challenge to see if le'ron mcclain gets that many again this year. i would doubt it. >> gerry: hackett might be a name that rings a bell for ravens fans. he worked out for the ravens when derrick mason had announced his retirement and the ravens were looking for wide receiver help. the ravens did not sign him, he instead signed a few days later with the washington redskins. >> stan: they signed drew bennett. >> gerry: who enjoyed the briefest ravens career of them all. he realized his knee wouldn't hold up, so he retired before he ever put on a practice uniform. it's going to be a first down for cart right as he gets to

the ravens 48-yard line. barnes trying to establish himself. i would almost say re-establish himself as an impact player. >> stan: they thought he was going to be an impact player right away. last year he got some injuries, he's the type of guy that really needs to be healthy and have that explosion to be effective. >> gerry: he's in trouble. he has scrambled forward inside the 45 down to about the 44. mcclain came on the blitz and he missed the open sack. >> stan: like i said before, if you don't take advantage of the free ones, you don't get many chances. >> gerry: the good news is he got the penetration. >> stan: quarterbacks, i always thought they were the hardest guys to tackle because they don't run like anybody else. they'll stop, they'll move, they'll lean backwards or

forwards. they're just tough to tackle. >> gerry: he'll have the redskins first down. go back to mcclain, if there is an error on his part in these misses, i think it is that he is going so hard that he's overpursuing the quarterback. >> stan: well, he's not getting his body across the quarterback. he's reaching out with his arms, then he's sliding off. you always try to get your head across in front of a gi when you're making a tackle to stop him. even a quarterback can break an arm tackle. >> gerry: overthrough him. >> stan: people are clamoring for colt brennan to be the quarterback. he had a good preseason last

year, and in training camp this year supposedly he went the first two weeks without throwing an interception. and you throw a lot of balls in training camp. when he finally did get one, he sort of played it down, patronized the defense. i knew you'd finally get me one time or another. >> gerry: that was a pretty pass. the kind of guy you weren't sure coming out of hawaii if he had nfl stuff. colt brennan, picked off. derrick martin with the interception and he'll return it to the 45-yard line of the ravens. it was webb who brought the blitz pressure, and colt brennan, off target as he threw under pressure.

0 >> gerry: on the heels of the derrick martin intercession, the ravens take over. we take off for the field and rob burnett. >> rob: derrick, i've watched a lot of football, that was one of the most gutsiest performances you had last year to put your shoulder injury and the things you did.

how's it feeling right now? >> shoulder is fine right now. no problems. i had surgery on it and it's feeling good right now. no ill effects from last season. >> rob: another question is take us a little bit through your sudden retirement and return. what kind of sparked that? >> going through the injury throughout the whole season, then ending the season and not being able to get into my off- season regimen as fast as i wanted to. just kind of wore on me, the whole season wore on me last year. and i just felt that at that time it was an opportunity for me to just sit back and re- evaluate some things that were going on. i made the decision two or three weeks before training camp started i was going to retire and i was serious about that. but i talked it over with my family and a few other people and decided to come back. >> rob: welcome back, man. glad to have you.

stay healthy. >> thank you. >> gerry: during the interview, matt lawrence carried for a loss of two, then picked up 11 on the redo. that sets up a third down and 1 for the ravens in washington territory at the redskins 46- yard line. >> stan: they'd only run the ball once this half going into this series. that was the basic play of all time there. just a power play. >> gerry: he's stopped in the backfield. antonio dixon, rookie free agent from the university of miami with the backfield penetration stops the ravens running attack on third down. so the derrick martin interception for naught, as the ravens cannot capitalize on the

turnover. end over end punt coming to the near sidelines. it backs up. stan cook doing what he does so well, dropping the ball inside the 20-yard line. >> stan: he wishes that one didn't bounce back. that looked like tiger's golf shot last week on the 16th hole when he drew it back to about an inch. very seldom do you see the snapper down the punt. you know it bounced backwards and it elewded the first wave of cover men. this is one of those, this is reverse end over end, it comes back like this. >> gerry: first down from their 18th. colt brennan bootlegged and ran out of bounds after he crossed the 20-yard line and gets out to the 24.

i don't know if that was just a designed run or colt brennan turned the corner. >> stan: did a good job of covering the bootleg. janes philips who is in there now, he's been hurt the whole off-season. he got hurt at the combine. hasn't been able to take part in the ota's or anything. he runs pretty well as he gets caught up on play action. look at him come back and then force colt brennan come out of bounds. >> gerry: the running game will be stopped for the redskins shy of the first down. cartwright is going to be stopped by paul kruger. it sets up a third down and a short 2 for washington with the ball at redskins 27. >> stan: that's where you see all these young linebackers in

right, from where i was, it looked like he made contact but he had a better angle in making that call. that's what officials do. they're supposed to get together if they are not completely sure that contact was made to find out. >> gerry: greg mattison has seen the makings of what he's going to want in his defense. he is seeing young players follow the marketing mantra of this team, play like a raven. and when you are a young guy like paul kruger or lardarius webb, you have to live up to the standard set by one of the great defenses. in the last 11 weeks of last season, the ravens led the nfl with 19 interceptions, 4 interceptions returned for a touchdown. in 11 weeks. that is a pretty impressive

three months worth of work. john beck at quarterback. first down for the ravens. he's in trouble, he'll be sacked back at the 38-yard line and a penalty flag follow him to the ground. >> referee: holding number 64 offense. that penalty is declined. it's second down. >> gerry: third one on oniel cousins. >> stan: that's one of john beck's problems when he played in miami. he was getting sacked five and six times, fumbling. he was a high draft choice for them, second round pick, and just did not work out. he's a pocket guy. troy would have probably been able to avoid that type of situation. >> gerry: he played for cam cameron with the dolphins. he fires complete, far sideline.

back at the 32-yard line. one of the officials took a tumble on the play. ravens offense tonight, cam cameron said he wanted to see a more proficient passing attack. not only in joe flacco. flacco was flawless, but i think we've seen a real development of troy smith as a quality backup you need to survive in the nfl. >> stan: cam said, i know they can handon off. let's see if they can throw. a tough thing to do was throw to one receiver. he did a good job of doing it. >> gerry: that was batted down at the line of scrimmage. dixon showing off his vertical leap. troy smith showing his development and his comfort level as an nfl quarterback.

families. there's a lot of people very intense about this. >> gerry: it is dropped by justin harper. that is the story of justin harper in this year's training camp. good play, bad play. came out tonight, missed the first three balls, caught the next four including a touchdown, here he has a chance to get on a roll and he let the ball sail right through his hands. >> stan: you have to be consistent if you're a receiver. you don't see derrick mason dropping balls like that. he catches the ball. that's what you have to do. >> gerry: fourth down and 4 with 12 minutes left to play. deep drop, run to go his left, he'll throw incomplete. he was looking for ernie wheelright on the far sideline. that was thrown a few yards shy of the lanky wide receiver.

they do a good job of keeping us healthy, but i'm going to try to get out here as soon as i can. >> rob: what do you think about the difference between the new defensive coordinator and rex ryan, what's the differences or what are similarities? >> the similarities are the pressure and the aggressiveness of the new defense. i like how he's gotten back to the basics and the fundamentals. he lets us loose with the four man rush. i think it's going to be great. >> rob: stay healthy. 20 sacks this year. >> you know i'm going for it. >> gerry: terrell suggs making the training camp this year but not making the roster tonight as he's sitting out with a sore achilles heel. out of bounds on third and 3. once again the redskins unable to convert. lardarius webb coming up with

the pressure along with barnes. you heard suggs talk about mattison similar to rex ryan in how he brings pressure. these guys like to bring corner pressure, safety pressure. >> stan: webb pressured him twice on that play. he missed him the first time. was able to come back and forced him to throw the ball away. >> gerry: the redskins will down it at the 11-yard line.

>> gerry: for mattison, this is his 38th year in coaching, but the first as the defensive coordinator. >> my standard line is when you're the coordinator at place like the baltimore ravens, your job is just to coordinate the defense to be as good as they can be, that's all i attempt to do every day. it makes my job easier to have the assistant coaches i have to work with and to have the great cast of players that's been assembled here. so it's going well. >> gerry: ravens will go to the ground game on first down. kedric peerman gets across the 16-yard line. greg mattison, i think his comfort level will increase as we see terrell suggs in the

line-up. talking with terrell suggs at training camp, he has yet to say that shoulder feels great. that to me is a little bit of a point of concern or should it be? >> stan: no, i think he's not saying it feels great so he doesn't have to practice. extenuating circumstances that got him back to camp was $63 million. >> gerry: never thought of it that way before. not the money, but the practice. that pass is complete, far sideline. jason, the free agent out of georgia southern stepping out of bounds with the first down. they'll move the chains. the ball will be out at the 25- yard line. here's a guy if anything should prove just about anything is possible in this league. 5'7" tall and he's at least trying to make an nfl team. >> stan: i played with howard stevens and he was like 5'4". he'll kill me for saying that.

he was 5'6". >> gerry: and he did make an nfl team. first down beck. he overthrows justin harper. harper was bending into a post and beck was throwing it for a fly pattern. >> stan: that's the one that troy smith missed twice to justin harper and finally connected with him on that skinny post where you just try and separate the two back zones and have enough steam on the ball to get it in between the two defensive backs. >> gerry: if there were a regular season game you would see cam cameron handing off the ball and trying to run out the clock. but he's trying to see which players he should consider. the little receiver running to the 30, 20, one man to beat. he's going to be pulled down from behind at the 10-yard line

by kareem moore. so no sooner do we talk about how remarkable it is for a 5'7" player to try to make it in this league and jason foster almost made the highlight reel with a 64-yard catch and run. had he gone seven yards farther he would have been in the end zone. still, he has done job one, he has caught the coach's attention and shown, hey, maybe we've got a playmaker. he's in for the touchdown! so former uva cavalier gives the ravens their first rushing touchdown of preseason. the ravens have more than put this game away. they have opened the door to possibilities of what some of these late draft picks and young free agents could possibly offer on this roster. >> stan: on this roster or

other rosters. sometimes you just get stuck on a team that has too many players at your position, but if you play well at this stage, you're on film, every team has those films, and you can set yourself up to play somewhere in the league. >> gerry: the ravens now in front of the washington redskins 23-0.

>> gerry: 23-0 ravens in front of the redskins in the preseason opener with a little under 8 and a half minutes left to play. that time the ravens moved down the field with the help of a big play on the drive. the ravens go five plays, 88 yards. the play of the drive belongs to john beck and the free agent wide receiver jason foster, a 64-yard pitch and catch. the ravens now letting all of the young players have a little bit of fun. graham gano will kick it off, high end over end. across the 15, 20, that will be pulled down at the 23-yard line. what an interesting story tony fine is.

a 27-year-old rookie free agent, spent some time in iraq, three and a half years in the army as a scout. he has a quote that i think will linger for quite a while. when asked the difference between serving in the army in iraq and the riggers of two-a- days, he said no matter how hard two-a-days are, i never wonder will i be alive tomorrow. that puts it all into perspective. >> a whole different world over there. no doubt about it. >> gerry: colt brennan drops to throw. he'll tuck and run. he'll dive out to about the 31- yard line. will johnson finally brings him to a stop. >> referee: holding number 78 offense. still first down. >> gerry: batiste will back up the redskins eight yards. >> stan: you're looking at two franchises who take the opposite approaches to building a football team.

the ravens have 16 starters that they acquired through their draft. that's second in the nfl. washington has the least amount of starters acquired through the draft, only 9 starters acquired through the draft. they had to make it up through free agency. >> gerry: colt brennan trying to make it up. paul kruger from utah, and he is a guy who has taught everybody from the start of training camp right through this first preseason game. we talked about the high motor. pretty good strength as he bull rushed that time and found his way all over colt brennan. the offensive lineman for the washington redskins is down with an injury. back it paul kruger, this is a guy who, like michael oher when you heard about the story, michael oher, what he had to go

through growing up. paul kruger's background is remarkable. here's a guy who about 10 years ago in a car accident severely injured, lost his spleen and i believe his one of his kidneys, then in january of 2008 elves the victim of a gang stabbing. >> stan: slashing. >> gerry: had to have 50 staples diswrowft put his abdomen back together, here he is a second round draft pick in the nfl. because he played at utah, but not one of the schools you would say had great cache in terms of national tv exposure. when the ravens scouts saw him still on the board in the second round, they didn't have to do much convincing to get ozzie newsom to say we'll take that dude. >> stan: we were asking about those two incidents. we said, which ones were the worst. he said the one when i was 13 because i had to learn to walk

all over again. can you imagine a 13-year-old being that much where you had to go back to baby steps and learn how to walk again, now you see him out there running over offensive linemen, nfl offensive linemen. it's a great story. >> gerry: 6'4", 265. and feeling is that he has the type of frame that will hold a lot more weight in the years to come. scott earl making his way to the far sideline. they call him the wizard, ozzie newsom. had he not made the hall of fame as a player which he richly diseived, he would arguably make it as a member of the front office. i don't believe there's ever been a g.m. in the history of this league who selected hall of famers with his first two picks. ozzie newsom did that. >> gerry: he sure did.

and he has an impressive class so far this year. on second down, colt brennan throws incomplete. he just had to get that ball off because barnes was closing in on him. >> stan: barnes just missed him again. luckily for colt brennan he had to step back just a little bit to miss him. number 62 is having a lot of problems. he couldn't block paul kruger and he couldn't even touch barnes. i don't know how long he can last. doesn't look good for him right now. >> gerry: that's just to give the punter a little more room. >> stan: that was just to save the quarterback's life. he said just throw a three set drop and duck. because they are just, they're

coming from all angles on him and they don't have the linemen to pick him up. >> gerry: colt brennan may go in and say, please, go to the bullpen. >> stan: give chase a chance. >> gerry: hunter smith punting from the red zone, almost blocked. the ball bounced shy of midfield. the redskins will down it at the 47-yard line. ernie wheelwright, second year wide receiver coming in from the end position, laid out and almost got a hand on the punt. >> stan: you wonder why a guy's trying to block a punt this stage of the game. because he's trying to make a team. this is a dangerous time of the game because there's guys out there now, they're just, they want to do something to catch the coaches eye and they're willing to do almost anything

right now. run over a back, go through your knees, whatever. >> gerry: troy smith is back at quarterback for the ravens. peerman will lose a yard or two on the play. this is the kind of scoring margin that the ravens enjoyed so often last year when they were second in the nfl in average margin of victory. quite the turn squashed from two years ago with a losing record. is margin of victory as important as some of the other statistics, because it's glaring in terms of what the ravens did last year. >> stan: i didn't realize they had won by that many points on average in their victories, but i don't think it's a big stat. i don't see it as a an

indicator of anything. >> gerry: jason cook dove on the loose ball after the pile broke loose. we'll try to get word if there's injury to john beck. he's on the sideline. his helmet is off as he's having a conversation with todd heap, but it seems unusual that beck would be out of the game at this point and troy smith back in the game. >> stan: something had to happen to put troy back in. those are the three quarterbacks they have. they don't have a fourth one, so troy had to go back in. that's why he's handing off, it looks like he's going to throw here. >> gerry: all three ravens quarterbacks passing for more than 100 yards. barnes will get the handoff. inside the redskins 40. he gets the first down at the 36-yard line of washington. matt lawrence took an opportunity and he'll stay on the field as he moves the chains. >> stan: he's behind the quarterback and pretty close to him, which indicates there's

more chance of it being a run. gives him the angle to make that handoff. >> gerry: cam cameron told us this week he believes matt lawrence will play in this league. getting the chance to show off his abilities around the league tonight. on the pump fake, a little inside handoff, a draw play from matt lawrence. before robert henson brings him to a stop. the clock is running. it has been a ravens dominated evening. 23-0 in front of the redskins. scars are arbitrary in preseason. i won't say meaningless. but obviously it is meaningless in terms of what it will play out in your season.

what is not meaningless is the type of play the ravens have seen from their young players, draft picks, free agents alike. 25-yard line, he's drilled there, but he'll have another first down after moore brings him to a stop. michael oher at right tackle was physical and impressive to get things started. joe flacco very poised, in command of the huddle, in command of the field. i think troy smith has done a really fine job at quarterback. john beck engineered a scoring drive tonight. so john harbaugh and cam cameron are going to be able to go back and have a lot of positives to build on with these young players, as they try to get them ready for the upcoming regular season. he'll have to settle for a gain

of about 3. cam cameron came into this game and into this training camp realizing that for this offense to grow, it will have to grow its prophecy in the passing -- proficiency in the passing game. now in a joe flacco has gone through a full season as a starter, cam cameron is ready to open up that passing game. give him five or six opportunities throughout the game to make big impact plays. it's complete for another ravens first down. and it is riley, rookie free agent out of duke, speedster for the blue devils, picked up the first down and will push us to the two-minute warning. ed reed pleased with the results, to say the least.

young ravens trying to finish off a very productive night. the punt falls inside the redskins 10-yard line. that will set up a second down and about 8 from there. >> stan: i think it was an excellent night for a majority of the team. i think some of the younger offensive line men need to work on some of their techniques and try to get themselves from exiting so many penalties. i think that was the only negative on the performance for the ravens this evening. >> gerry: oniel cousins for three holding calls. game on between hauschka and gano. matt lawrence will just start his way down to about the 8- yard line. it will set up a third down there. >> rob: what if both guys go

into carolina 100% in field goals and extra points, you know? >> gerry: it could happen. >> rob: the situation could come down to kickoffs. >> gerry: among the players we have to be delighted to see back in uniforms and in games, juan landry at safety, kelly gregg back in the middle of that defensive line. big difference makers. final minute of this ballgame. lawrence will lose a couple of yards back to the 10-yard line. antonio dixon on the stop. if they don't stop the clock here, that should do it. there's no reason to stop the clock and kick a field goal here. >> rob: not that the point. job well done, mission accomplished. >> gerry: the ravens are in the win column for preseason game number one as they will shut

out the washington redskins 23- 0 the final. we're not done yet. ravens do call a time-out. and they are going to send graham gano out on the field to attempt a field goal. >> rob: does that -- is that sticking your face in it or trying to see your young kicker? >> gerry: i think it's trying to see your own kicker. if there were a regular season game, clearly that's running up the score. but i was on the fence with that about does harbaugh send the kicker out there or does it look for sportsmanship. john harbaugh needs to find a kicker. i think we all know john harbaugh is a pretty good sport. high slap, and gano's kick no good. hit the upright, so much for 100%. >> rob: was that his fault? a bad snap. >> gerry: graham gano misses from 28 yards to end it. a positive night ends on a

the score for baltimore was, 23- 0. it's not often we see the ravens have a shut-out win and talk about the offense. but that's the case, i think offense for the ravens seemed to steal the show. >> indeed, in a game we are talking about the offense. we're talking about how they performed. the first team unit definitely going out there establishing a rhythm, a tempo. i love the fact that michael oher right off the block, i counted two -- michael oher is on top of him. we also saw the passing attack with troy smith using the two- minute offense. definitely a lot of rhythm and timing down pat for this ravens offense. >> and the fact that they threw the ball as often as they did. 28 times for troy smith to throw it and joe flacco threw it 15 times and they did it successfully as well. >> no interceptions.

great to ?rot any turnovers. they definitely looked a lot of poise in the pocket. great pocket presence by both quarterbacks. we're looking at cam cameron and human being jackson, the quarterback coach, really taking this to another level. you are looking at depth at the quarterback spot with troy smith in his place. so i think that was a big plus for them to come out tonight to play as well as they did. definitely a lot of homework, a lot of film work that will be studied to get better, but for the most part they looked outstanding. >> now let's take a look, we do have to get, it was a shut-out. the defensive play of the game, it most certainly has to go to derrick martin. the guy just trying to hang on to make the team. he's been hanging around for a couple years. he gets the job done. congratulations to derrick martin for earning the defensive player of the game. we're not done with defense.

back to the offense. we have to talk a little about what we saw from the offense. justin harper. he struggled early. three drops. you're wondering if he's going get cut in the locker room at halftime. instead, he turned it around. >> he definitely did. anytime you have an opportunity to make a play, you got to go out and make the play. the problem is, is that he hadn't been as consistent with his timing and rhythm. but the good thing about it is, we look at the offensive play. he came up and came up big, and scored a touchdown right before the half. >> that is the offensive play of the game from troy smith, just before the half to get the job done. troy smith going to the corner and harper, he got open. take another look at it. this one he hangs on to after the drops. a little more fun for justin harper who finally has something to celebrate. >> it's always about bouncing back and persevering.

he had an opportunity to just get a nice little 9 route down the sideline. troy smith did an outstanding job of looking off the safety. >> when we come back, we'll check in with john harbaugh at the podium. welcome back to the ravens post-game show. baltimore shutting out the redskins 23-0. you could say the ravens claimed the battle of the beltways in this one. >> yeah, they did. they looked real sharp for the first preseason game. still, it's preseason. you have to know that. you know that the starters weren't in there a lot. it was about guys going out and just playing football, and that's what they did. i think the ravens will be proud of their performance when they turn on the film. >> baltimore certainly did a better job executing their plays. it was an offensive show for sure for the ravens. ray rice after biding his time, joe flacco gets him the ball.

the big play, more than 30 yards. the ravens had several plays of more than 30 yards tonight an that was huge. willis mcgahee, no longer the starter, but looks like he certainly could be. >> you just see kelly washington getting into the rhythm and timing of their offense. you have to score, put the ball in the end zone. that's what they did. >> troy smith after rolling out of the pocket, finds the deep play to yamon figurs. martin getting in on colt brennan, taking the pass. this is just an outstanding play. anytime you can catch a short pass, break a tackle, get it down to the red zone. you're impressing your coaches. >> drive capped off by kedric peerman, he gets into the end zone. the ravens just absolutely dominating, 500 total yards, 21

first downs. the average yards of play almost double. third down conversion, seven. >> that's impressive. extremely impressive. anytime you can get off the field, that's one of the phrases we've heard time and time again in camp. get off the field. again, you also look at the zero turnovers. you got to love that. the ravens created two turnovers which is something you've come to expect from this ravens defense over the many decade, but now you're also seeing that they hadn't turned the ball over. >> winning a game in the preseason, it doesn't mean a whole lot come regular season, but you'd certainly rather win than lose. the baltimore ravens were more prepared to play today than the redskins. for john harbaugh, that's very good sign for the way this team is continuing to progress. >> you want to have your team competing offensively, defensively, special teams.

you don't want to waste time throughout looking sloppy. i think that's something where, yeah, it might be preseason. taveras gooden, he was able to look real solid. d martin was able to move from corner to safety and get a pickoff interception. guys are just flying around the football field making plays, offensively and defensively, by no stretch of the imagination was it this a perfect game but it was a very competitive football game for the ravens. >> the backup quarterback troy smith brought to you by miller. 14 of 30, 200 yards. there were several dropped passes. no interceptions. troy smith, he's your miller lied player of the game. there really wasn't a whole lot of debate about it. no doubt that troy smith, he stood out the most tonight. >> here's what i loved. his pocket presence was

exemplary. anytime you can have an opportunity to avoid the rush, to reset your feet, to complete passes down the field, that's what troy smith did, you're growing as a quarterback. cam cameron must be beaming inside saying, man, i got myself a player. that's something you want to have. you've got to have two quarterbacks in any of the 32 teams. >> and proving that he needs to be on the field with joe flacco because they are both playmakers.

that's what we do, we go back to work on saturday. first of all, you didn't see it but ray lewis at the end gave greg mattison the game ball, and that's a great, that's a heck of a thing. very impressive. greg, i don't know how he's going to do it, but he says he'll divide it up for all the players on the team. so that was kind of neat to see. a little disappointed with the penalties. too many penalties. that's something we have to find a way to work out. of all types of penalties. and that's probably the most disappointing thing. i thought we were physical, protected the football. defense played very well. young offensive leanmen did a nice job. >> we found out we've got to be better at knocking them through the uprights when we get a high snap. it's on the snapper, but it's on the kicker to find a way to knock it through. but they made some kicks, too. that's the first time in a game situation, so they did well. >> coach, your thoughts about

justin. the way he responded. >> the comeback thing, i give troy a lot of credit for that, too. i think troy, that's what a leader does. he had two drops on him and he came back in a critical situation, 11 seconds left in the half, went right back to him. that shows you a little bit about maybe his mental toughness an his confidence, that was good. >> i thought they ran hard. got the ball north and south. it was good to see the check downs. dumping the ball underneath. giving those guys a chance to make plays. >> i don't know, i mean we have, we try to have as many good players as we can. i think we have three, maybe four, maybe five, maybe six good backs. peerman looked good tonight, parmele looked good, lawrence looked good. those guys are always competing. >> well, i told him, i think the second play when he came off the feel, if i forgot to

mention it to you, glad to have you back, love you, thanks. so that was good. >> i had a real good stinger, a real serious stinger, so he's okay. >> yeah, you know, i thought joe looked sharp. he was crisp, got the ball out quick and seeing him check it down to the backs instead of to completion or to a check down type of a mindset was pretty good. >> yes, i mean l.j., i know that our quarterbacks are excited to have l.j., and todd, too. it was good to see l.j. get off it a good start. >> yeah, he had something. i'm not sure what tfers. i haven't got the report yet. i don't think it's anything serious. >> marcus smith is going to get checked out, it looks serious. we're not sure what it is right now. it could be an acl.

we'll have to let you know on that. great, thanks. >> so what you want to get accomplished in a preseason game, your starters stay healthy, get the win. >> they looked very impressive. i was somewhat pleasantly surprised at the offense, not shocked. but they did, they moved the ball efficiently. you saw ray rice get involved in the passing game. derrick mason was out there, got some catches in. kelley washington. the entire offense contributed and looked the part. greg mattison, his first time out. a great job of him play calling. of course he's going to say it was about the players, but you need coaches and players. all the way around. >> a bloody michael oher after he pancaked for the second time. thanks so much for joining us tonight. ravens get the win 23-0.
