he does that. seems like he does that. i'm real positive about the fact that we need the close the gap, from what they do on the side and in between starts to more consistent during the game and on the mound. that's what needs the happen. you seem him warming up. a couple innings he warmed up back to back. he was lights out. see him in the bullpen sessions between starts. we just need to get that closer together. it's there. the ability to there. we need to get more consistent. >> what he has left in the tank. you encourage 95 and did get over 100 pitches. >> i think, the 6 days helped him. the extra day will help him. he'll get several he didn't have to work real hard, the weather was okay.

what they need to do is get clean innings which would keep the pitch count down. you see tonight, we must be leading the league in getting guys to 2 strikes and fouling pitches off. fouling off, foul them off and foul them off. that gets the pitch count up. not these wild in the strike zone or wild out of strike zone. to locate one better and 2, there's a knack to finishing off hitters. and you can see with some of their guys. when some of the cuff balls were coming they can't move. they didn't make an attempt. though wait ford the fastball. until you show them you can throw it for a called strike. when you get two strikes, you have to be able to put people away. that will get better. i don't think he labored at all. it was a good sign that he was throwing as hard as he what
