frank haith is up by six, mike. >> mike: they haven't confronted any of them. miami comes in. if you're frank haith, you're happy they're 4 of 5 but haven't taken a three yet. working in the offense. a couple early post-ups for centers and couple run-outs. mcgowan only a 53% shooter, misses from the strike. that was the achilles heel for miami last year, especially in close games. paris. and rolls it around. >> mike: you know, ron, he scores a couple shots, i think he may be one of the more underrated frontcourt players in the conference. does a lot of things. can shoot the three. underrated rebounder. i really like his game. junior out of mad son, connecticut. one of the things he does is spread the floor so. we only 1 of 4 shooting. jones inside, tries to muscle it

up, does get the whistle, he'll go to the line. >> mike: i think if you're frank haith, you have to like that move. jones is so explosive and athletic. put the ball on the floor, make good things happen, go to the rim, 77% free-throw shooter. get into the rhythm of the game that way. same high school as sharif and wheeler high school and georgia just outside of atlanta. probably was the highest recruited player that frank haith was able to sign. before mr. scott showed up. >> mike: before mr. scott showed up, absolutely. if that trend continues, the rest of the team may be in trouble. frank has a nice connection in new york city now. right-hander, southern offensive rebound and the putback! the first opportunity to be converted on. they really established themselves on the offensive glass, they need to see

himself. 29 points rebatound coming off effort against michigan. one thing about him he will play a ton of minutes. malcolm dropping down his 20th three-pointer, shooting 20% this year. it's a key thing in this offense. a look inside raji makes a nice cutoff and finds himself wide open. >> mike: and he makes substitution with four different players, he can play as many as 10 players, all getting a lx pl minutes. i think -- i'm a guy that likes stars. i think eventually scott an grant will emerge as that guy. they need to have collins be a double figure score on the low block. >> mike: you want grant and scott playing together or the reason grant is off the bench because he was scoring off the

bench. not only that he didn't want all freshmen off the bench. he has leadership abilities. that combination works. i guarantee you end game situation, important part of the game. >> mike: i wouldn't doubt that. sometimes by january, the rotation starts to shrink. paris inside. r raji fights for it. a whistle and a foul. jenn hill, if you look at scott and grant, those are two young players that will be stars for miami. >> jenn: the key thing, a lot of teams have two point guard, don't really have one. that's not the case for these two guys. you don't hear the word controversy, they've come in with a positive attitude, work together and do what they need to help the team win whether they're on the bench to start the game or not. cortney dunn, his second

free-throw. jack mcclinton this is one who taught me how to work and i want to help durand scott learn how to work. handing it down to each other. >> mike: very frustrating not have him last year. it's like having a fer are a rin the garage you can't take out for a spin. they knew what they had in practice. because he works so hard, he was able to seamlessly fit in this year you look back at 2006, the hurricanes lost a couple and they say, my goodness, this team is done and now they have grant. they had a transfer of two players. no shot of the offensive rebound. johnson across the timeline. about halfway through here in the opening 20. do you get sense there's an opportunity missed by miami.

as poorly as bc has shot the ball, you would think there would be more gap or space between them, only a three point lead. 20% shooting for boston college. shot clock at six, they have to do something with it. this will be a bad shot and launches the three and he launches it and he's fouled! >> mike: that's a killer for frank haith. this possession was going nowhere and tiler roche really bailed them out and coming under control and judean gamb-- julia gamble rolled right through him. he's had only 22 prior to that three-point play.
