they stand and watch him. they know he's in trouble. get open to receive a pass. nobody came to help him. and he almost got tackled for a loss. >> bob: larry conley, we are down to four, when we talk about unbeatens in college basketball. the top four ranked teams in the country, all perfect. but that number is dwindling day by day. >> larry: kansas and texas, very top heavy in that conference out there. these two clubs are really good, though. kentucky with a big win over louisville yesterday. it was a war. and purdue beat west virginia, which was previously unbeaten. purdue is really good. >> bob: i really like them. >> larry: i do. i've seen them three times this year. i've seen kentucky play, too. i think they're very good. what a freshman group they've got. -- >> bob: degand to mid-floor and mays. nc state, only two field goals in the first eight minutes of this second half.

about the inside game today. the points in the paint have been plentiful. >> larry: the two guys that have gotten it done, vernon macklin for florida, on the other side, tracy smith has gotten it done for the wolf pack. there have been a lot of points in there, simply because once the ball gets into that free throw lane area the guys have been able to convert. look at the numbers. they've done a great job, both of them. macklin's done that, real li, with a lot of time on the bench, too. >> bob: and tracy smith, terrific in that first half with 14 points. macklin, really coming to life offensively here in the second half with 14. >> larry: he only played five minutes in the first half. >> bob: right. got the two quick fouls and to the bench he went. state's gotten away from going to tracy smith a lot. they have relied on the three-pointer here in the second half. williams for three.
