shanahan likely to be his successor and team president. and that could happen not long after if shanahan is hired he is the 7th head coach under dan snyder since he took over the team since 1999. as i reported before it's expected that his son kyle will come in as offensive coordinator and two names for defense of coordinator. first cincinnati's mike zimmer and second former saints head coach jim hazlett. all speculation at this point in time. whatever happens it should happen quickly. well, kelly, it's interesting. the team believes tonight that jim zorn will hold his regular press conference tomorrow which we show here on comcast sportsnet live. if you could speculate is this his farewell speech? what's going on here? >> well, you would like to think that if they are going to in fact fire him that they would not put him through the agony of answering all those end of the year questions and what went wrong and why did you do this and why did you do that and how do you improve if in

i came from a long way, battled injury last few years. healthy now and playing with the defense and it's a dream. i'm telling you it's like me sitting there and watching my kids and then they making the play and then say some of the most incredible things when you are out there on the feel and i tell you man that's what creates brotherhood. ray lewis told me after the game that the team will enjoy their plane ride home and there is a 24 hour rule as far as thinking about the playoffs they will enjoy the win before preparing for the patriots. i also asked ray if this team is more prepared for the playoff run after the ups and downs that they experienced this season. he told me in his 14 years in the nfl, it's never been a pretty road to the post season. it's always been a grind. this year was no different. but the key is to get into the tournament and from there anything goes. with the ravens, in oakland,

couple of days and couple of weeks. what moves should the redskins make for 2010? trevor? >> start with systemically because on the field in terms of personnel there is a lot that's necessary. they got to change it's run and the most important single thing is for there to be a firewall built between the locker room and the front office. so that the buck stops with the head coach and the head coach with the authority of the owner. players should not be able to walk into the general manager's office and not be able to walk into the head coach's office even to have a casual conversation. it's should be the head coach and head coach only because if there is not a firewall like that the head coach will not have the authority he needs. >> antonio freeman, you have been part of many franchises. what has to change? >> aside from the punt return unit which was downright awful this year, you have to go to the offensive line. success of a great teams in this league started at the offensive line. build a format around a offensive line that allows you

run the ball and throw the ball. this team has to start with the offensive line to make jason campbell a better quarterback. >> i agree. and i have to go along with them. first of all you make sure that i -- the chain of command is set. you make sure the coach has the final say when it comes to football matters hand it downstairs pp when you begin to go upstairs and handle your business, the owner and gm steps in. if they will start making moves on this team to make p it better. redskins have the most popular offensive line in the history of football. so popular you have guys dressing. and you going to do that you need to make sure you go out there and start to establish a strong offensive line and believe me, if jason campbell has a strong offensive line, 3,318-yards this year. he is up there with some of the best quarterbacks in the league behind a makeshift line getting sacked 43 times. battered and bruised and comingback. o-line change the chain of command. these three guys are on
