about finishing and learning how to win and finish. how do you feel with two games in a row? >> i was proud of our kids for matching and had a couple of big threes an offensive board late. >> robin: thank you very much, kelly. rich? >> rich: thank you, robin. the stat sheet just showed up and 27 turnovers for boston college and we have talked about nikitta gartrell. we have talked about marissa kastanek and great shooting. certainly from nc state. how about the defense by lucy ellison. in the low block. this is a guard oriented team and she is sort of the lone person down low that had to deal with not only stefanie murphy but also carolyn swords. swords had 13 points but turned it over six times. lucy ellison is one of the hidden heros in this ballgame. >> robin: absolutely. she has all the blue color work to do every single game and she does that without any

hesitation. we saw her banging on the inside. her job early in the game i think took both swords and murphy out of their rhythm and sync. there were times she was absolutely exhausted. goes to the basket. quick breather banging with the bigs again. >> rich: let's focus on boston college now who was at the top of the world when they beat duke and north carolina. but then on sunday she lose at home to a very good wake forest team. they lose by four and now they come on the road against a team that they beat by 17 earlier in the season. where is boston college right now with three games left in the regular season? >> robin: they have got some work to do and will have to go home, regroup, think about it. first they have to contend with virginia tech on the road again. so yet another road game and for them it is learning how to be the hunted and instead of the hunter. >> rich: nicely done tonight robin. nicely done tonight, north carolina state. 73-62 is the final score. and for those of you getting

the 18th ranked duke blue devils. welcome inside alexander memorial coliseum, along with debbie antonelli, i'm jen hilders. coming off the first home loss of the season to florida state, now they have the duke blue devils team that has really had their number the past couple of years. >> there hasn't been a rivalry mere because duke has dominated the season. here's an opportunity for georgia to get a top 10 win and give them a breakthrough opportunity on the national level. >> they will have to stop all- american candidate jasmine thomas. >> this is no easy task. with the basketball in her hands, jasmine thomas, end to end, a fast player. the only duke player to average in double figures. with the ball in her hand, a terrific mid-range game. a terrific finisher in transitionment without the

vernerey. for the georgia tech yellow jackets, starting at the point guard position, looking for more out of foster and montgomery in particular who struggled against the seminoles. to go along with goodlett and ardossi. they were terrific against the noles. michaele joseph, in her -- machelle joseph. joanne mccallie, head coach of the blue devils, has her team atop the acc standings entering the contest. the yellow jackets are wearing pink for the wbca pink zone. this is their pink zone game. the duke blue devils, wearing their road blue. and jasmine thomas has the ball right off the bat for duke. >> what you're going to see out of duke is a very defensive- oriented team. georgia tech has the athleticism to math them for 40

minutes. -- match them for 40 minutes. >> cheek finds vernerey. >> man-to-man defense and right now, you see deja foster is face guarding jasmine thomas. machelle joseph told me, jasmine thomas the key to duke. the only player in double figures. such a talented junior with jasmine thomas and you have to make the offense run through somebody else for the blue devils. duke will start out in their man-to-man defense, jen. >> well, georgia tech got a stop on their first defensive position. offensively, inside to goodlett. ball a kicked around a bit and the blue devils have it. >> you want to make sure you shadow jasmine thomas, get in her window in transition. do not let her have vision to the open floor. she's too good at making others better. she will distribute the

basketball to other offensive targets in transition. >> keturah jackson lost the ball. >> this is a physical, athletic committed defense by duke. >> and the travel is going to be called on goodlett. she really played well the last game against florida state and they tried to get her the ball early. >> for the coach, the interior play was very good against florida state. the guard play wasn't so good. you have to have good guard play if you're going to beat duke. you have to handle against pressure. >> bridgette mitchell, taking the shot, no good, but grabs her own rebound. thomas, to the hoop and in. >> thomas is committed to getting to the front of the rim. she is determined and when she gets playing like she looks like she's running downhill,

american war. when he came back to the united states it was tough. i was as young as four or five i understood what racism was all about. we had to move every ten months. >> did he introduce you to this whole world of music and instruments? >> my dad did. at 5 years old i had to start playing the piano. i took piano lessons. i loved it and there were times i didn't like it because i wanted to be out with my friends but coming home from school i had to practice but it's my love is the violin. >> is music your first love? >> not only my first love, it has given me the foundation for life. >> in what ways? >> i think every child and i am glad you were one of my students -- i'm really -- teaches you how to focus. teaches you how to organize.

dr. johnson you are the only african-american female owner in sports. where did your love for sports come from? >> it started in elementary school. i was a cheerleader which was before title 9 so we weren't able to play in sports. i got to run track and be on the synchronized swim team and play half court basketball even though i couldn't play it was important i was a cheerleader so i could be at every game, football and basketball. that is where the love came from. >> what led you to the mystics?

>> abe pollin. i have to give this man full credit for all of the -- just the insight that he could even want to look at me to put me as the face of the mystics. >> did you feel it was important to find a woman? >> absolutely. we wouldn't have sold it to anyone else? >> why was that? >> a woman should own the team. >> as we were going through the process, i also realized more than just the washington mystics, it is buying into the entire vision of what abe pollin has built here. why couldn't i have a piece of that also? >> i went to the owner of the caps. we had to convince him that this plan i had in mind was not only to buy the mystics but also into the caps and the wizards which is all part of lincoln holdings.
