boston college catching virginia. atlanta plays wake forest. georgia temperature, i think in the most desperate position in the game. i'll get to do clemson for the fourth straight time. >> not only georgia tech needing a victory, but what about the timing for north carolina? it's difficult for roy williams. they are coming off the most embarrassing loss not just for north carolina, but roy and his entire career encompassing kansas and north carolina. it's a desperate team. >> it's a team they should feel good about playing. it doesn't always translate. i think georgia tech is in a position at 7-9 they have to get to the tournament final to have strong consideration. >> oliver purnell told me, he felt, especially if you had a by, you had to feel good about

your chances. he got his team to the finals two years ago. if you look at the match ups, anybody that could get hot, virginia tech is there. maryland. anytime you want to put them in a position to max out, they come back with more. >> they are such a good shooting team and under rated defensive team. duke is deeper in the front line than they have been. as a result, kyle singler is a lot fresher this year at this time than he ever has been at duke. tonight for wake forest, it was al-farouq aminu his 18th double double of the year. 16-12. he was big in every phase of the game. >> when you talk about getting a guy going, again. he had a brutal stretch of two games, only seven points total. he was too good to have that continue. look at their resume. 9-7 in conference.

on the blog this afternoon at redskins insider saying these were the people we expected to be released. they were. i think the important thing is is the team is aggressive in free agency. a lot of things that happened that were very bad on the field for the washington redskins. the up capped season, they did not have -- the uncapped season, they did not have to worry about that. they want people in here that are part of the solution. >> i know a name fans would say good-bye to and he has a different salary situation. clinton portis. he would hurt the cap next year. the money going forward, i guess. they would owe him a bunch of money. is portis going to be cut at some point? >> ivan, mike shanahan said clinton portis will be back. you have to look at portis to

see what his commitment is and attitude in the off season and mini camps. if he is committed to the program, they will keep him. here is the biggest thing about portis. clinton has a base salary of $7.2 million. of that $7.2 million, $6.4 million is guaranteed. that is not cap money. that is actual dollars that if they were to release him, they owe him. he has offset language in the contract. if another team signs him, the redskins would be responsible for the difference. >> he is not getting that anywhere else? >> they will not cut clinton. they don't want to pay him $7 million to sit on the couch. can clinton be productive? we will see that. that is why he is not cut right now. >> and the whole sidney crosby
