has gotten such a bad wrap this week, i think people are going to underrate this cal team heading into the ncaa tournament. this is group like we're seeing today, they get it going from multiple guys. randle, christopher, boykin. they're going to be a tough out in that ncaa tournament. i think people are going to underestimate them. >> steve: longmire with the rebound. if they play defense against arizona state, they can really -- they can knock off anybody. mike's got to shooters. the last time california had three 1,000 points scorers was 1987 when they had kevin johnson, david butler and chris washington, all go for over 1,000. this year, randle, christopher and robertson. >> don: the experience. the high basketball iq all three of those basketball players.

porter, he speaks with a lot of conviction about the type of kid he is. >> steve: california seniors will continue to move on. but for the one senior and there's a chance that joevan catron can be back. for a guy like porter who knows this is literally his last college game, what is that like? >> don: it depends on circumstances. not one of the better teams at oregon that porter has been on. for me, we lost in the elite eight. we were supposed to go to the final four. there's disappointment. the expectation level the whole bit. it's an interesting feeling because, you know, for me i was going to play at the next level, i don't know if he can or not, i think tajuan porter can make money playing somewhere, maybe not in the nba. you get reflective about the great teams you were on, what

for them not only to win this tournament but heading into the ncaa tournament. >> steve: cal will win their 22nd game of the year. they finished the conference play with a record of 13-5. nailing down their first conference title in 50 years. porter with 26. he had 32 last night. here's sim with a long-range shot. but the golden bears moving on with a 17-point lead inside of two minutes to play. >> don: what's different, looking ahead to the matchup tomorrow, now ucla playing a lot more zone and they weren't in that first meeting against cal. but they kind of tricked arizona today. they wouldn't man to man the entire first half. against arizona. and it was effective.

>> steve: surprised me a little bit. i thought ucla might suffer a little bit when tyler honeycutt fouled out. >> don: ben howland feels like maybe he has the ability to switch it up. whereas for the last month and half, he's been almost exclusively in that two-three zone. >> steve: tajuan porter in his final college game. gives it up. and a three-point basket by jamil wilson. the oregon ducks' season will end at 16-16. and they'll finish at 7-11. there's a chance they could be invited to the play in the cbi.

later tonight. number three seed washington against oregon state the six seed and number two arizona state against stanford down here with coach mike montgomery. 90 points. solid defense. when you take a look at the season, was this more of a complete games you have had all year? >> no, not really. we shot the ball well today. so you know, when our guys shoot the ball we're hard to beat. i thought we made some mistakes. the fact that we were shooting the ball well, we got a lot of people to play. got some rest. having to play 40 minutes three straight -- two straight days is tough. i thought that helped us a little bit. but, we shot the ball well. you know, oregon's a team that's capable of scoring a lot of points. >> talking about the luxury that you're able to take your star out at the ten-minute mark, that's a lot of rest? >> it stayed the way.

i rested patrick in the first half, rested theo in the first half. i didn't rest jerome at all. we kept the lead and the last thing you feel terrible about, is if a kid went in and a kid got injured up 20. that was a good opportunity to keep guys get some rest. >> this game down, ucla tomorrow. talk about that matchup. >> ucla is in l.a. they got talent. no question. they got reeves nelson back. gives you an inside presence. it's going to be a tough game. they beat us at our place. we know they're capable. >> congratulations. >> thank you. >> jerome not too often you get to come out at the ten-minute mark in the second half. how important is that you did get that rest? >> it's very important. i knew i needed a little rest. the most important thing, i twisted my ankle at the enof the

first half. i came out and was really stiff. i said coach, i might need rest in the second half. luckily, my teammates were able to pick me up and i was able to get some rest. >> is this something you're concerned with moving forward? >> no, not really. things like that happen. you get your bumps and bruises. i'll be ready for tomorrow. >> all year long, you have been talking your supporting cast. they were on fired tonight? >> definitely. if my offensive game is not going, i know that theo and patrick will pick me up. i wasn't worried about it at all. the second half they picked me up. >> jerome this tourney is all about building confidence and momentum, how comfortable are you heading into tomorrow to get this win over ucla? >> i'm very confident. we won our last five games. from our perspective, i feel that we play great team
