ail fredo simmon or koji uehara. we'll give you the results later on. speaking of masn sports.com, here's rok kubatko. you usually join us on sunday but eddie murray's tomorrow, did you get bumped back? >> you should be glad i'm dressed up today. >> you know lights talk about today the way dave trembley start decided to go with the starters. with the rainout yesterday, he could have gone either way. why do you think he did to put guthrie on? >> i think guthrie drew the short straw. i was debating this yesterday and rick can speak from experience but it can't do them any favors. they play their crispest games of the season, then you build momentum and you wait and have two day. they have enough trouble winning

one game now they've got to win two today. i think you put millwood in the second game, no matter what you have to do, go for it because you got this guy in game 2 that you figure is going to get you in the #th oer 8th inning -- 7th or 8th inning or beyond. i think it's just having him in game 2 was kind that have guy that you can depend on to get you deep and won't have to good in the bull pen. now you of issues that guys are going to have to sit today that normally would play in all the games of the series. ad amount jones -- adam jones might have played in game 2 but now he has a strained hip. got the rest friday but you don't want to tag 18 innings on him today t causes a lot of headaches. >> you look around the infield and there's some guys that are really not just a performing up

to their cape iblgts and one of them is cisar izturis. do you think they're in trouble? >> since the day he put the cap on his head at the press conference, we were told that tejada wasn't going to play shortstop. there's a reason why he said he would play third. there's a reason why i worked at that position all winter. he's not going to go back there. i know we were told that brian matusz wasn't coming back, but i don't think they would be comfortable putting tejada back at short. his range is so reduced. you got a shortstop playing 3rd and a 1st base man playing 2nd with wigginton. you got the steady guy, gold glove caliber feverybody else was hitting we probably wouldn't even be having a discussion.

the fact that no one's hitting you look at izturis' average and say where can we get more offense in this line-up. >> when the team was in new york the first stop on this road trip, andy mcphail came out and said if you guys don't start hitting, we're going to replace you. what might happen? i love what john stocks dale's doing in the minor league. he has these guys prepared and thinking if i put up numbers i might get the call because ryan hughes already has. is there anybody down there you png might be imminent to come up? >> mcphail said he's not going to put up with a guy struggling anymore. he didn't meks who he was -- mention who he was going to bring up. somebody's got to come back up and right now you look at a guy like corey patterson, he's hitting .333 in ten games, you

could argue he would be brought up over a guy like lou montañez, who has been struggling. again, .252 career head nert majors, it's not going to make a huge difference. josh belzy, interesting choice now. 18 rbis he's hitting 14 of his 17 games but this is a guy that we kept here and was going to stay in the minors, he's not going to move in hot off 3rd. at most, maybe a september callup. but now you got to say if they continue to struggle, maybe he's a guy you can look at and give him some at-bats as a switch hitter. maybe you go ahead and make that move sooner that be we thought. >> hey, hey, hey, jimmy and i have been taking batting practice. >> that's another option. >> you don't want me, i'm telling you.
