that one any better. >> mike: fastball on the inside, one of the reasons that liriano moves over to that side so he can get the ball in, but many times if you're stuff is as good as liriano's, it's kind of hard for your defense to play because they're really not centering anything. >> gary: so the orioles break the o-fehr. they also break liriano's mark of no runs having been scored against him in the ballpark this year. tejada flied out his first time up. >> eddie: he's given up four hits but he is making some tremendous pitches out here this inning. two earned runs so far and with tejada up here swinging. >> gary: oriole hitters would say we are doomed. first and third, two down. inside to tejada. >> mike: i'm sure there's not a whole lot of empathy for liriano this that oriole dugout. they've had some tough goods of it with line drives at people.

with the red sox but most pitchers aren't able to do this because it's two different visual tracks to the plate. but the strength of it, the strength of it is being able to pitch in. the toe to toe, there's a straight line to the inside corner when right-handers are hitting and that's always your highest way of being accurate. it really is straight line from that left toe. you watch where he lines up to where he lands, it's a direct straight line to the inside corner: he pitches the majority of his pitches or the highest accuracy of his pitches would be to the inside of the plate. >> gary: two-ball, two-strike count. tejada fouls it back again. well, it certainly has worked. liriano last year went 5-13. this year, 4-0 already with a 1.5 e.r.a.. so something has really made a difference for him. >> mike: we talked to some of the twins people, they said winter ball helped. he suffered from some arm
