make resource available for doing more of the good things. i i don'toff hand see very many good things we have done. i think we could say two cheers for the obama medicare initiative. it was, in many respects, a very good idea to assist in ties to them. the medical care so that you don't have the anymore or nothing to have anymore the kind of crazy system we had before.

on the other hand, it's not at all the system is going to reform well. maybe it'll have to go back under surgery again. otherwise i don't -- i don't see much haven't seen much whey call progress. i haven't seen progress in -- certainly haven't seen progress in dealing with innovation. what we see is a lot of propping up. a lot of social protections. a lot of special favors. i mean, this it predominantly bad, and so, we have to stop

non-fiction authors and books on booktv. you can see past programs and get our schedule at our website. and you can join in the conversation on social media sites. there are 100 things i want to write about. so it is hard work but it's a joy. the business part of it really doesn't drive me. on the other hand, i'm not ghandi either. i'm a capitalist but that said. what drives me in pushing sales is trying to get my -- books and arguments in to as many hands as i possibly can. my books are intended to try to affect people's thinking to give them ideas. maybe things they haven't thought about. as i say, i can't imagine other authors aren't thinking the same

way. it's the way i'm coming from. i had one of the greatest editors in publishing. his name is mitchell i'veson. he's terrific. he has an eye for this. he might say you may not want to use that sentence or might want to reorganize this chapter or that chapter, but he's also gracious about how he does it. knowing full well i'm a little stubborn like i think most authors are, but i certainly am. you not want include that. i like to bounce things off him. in the end i make the decisions. and has there been head butting? no. have you ever turned in a book where they said go lord, no. they are thrilled to the book because i actually hand them a complete book with all the end notes in the book, with all the sourcing in the book. all the arguments in the book

all the chapters in the book. i put together and handed them -- at the end of the desk, for instance. they returned a few to me, and i don't know that other authors do that. other conservative authors do that. i just don't know. in my case, because i have no ghost authors or cowriters or anything in fact sort, they're glad i turned them in and turn them in on time. there's things i want to write about and talk about. life is short. they don't need to say you missed your deadline. i'm excited to get my book in on my deadline and ready it to go with the next one. it's hard work. it is. i do a radio show. i'm not done until 9:00 at night eastern time. it means i'm working until 3:00 in the morning and work every weekend. this is whey do. i love it. people say what do you do for a hobby? this is what i do. it's hobby and it's work and i
