there are many. all different art directors for those by fully do simon & schuster. >> host: you do the covers of6vú books? what goes into the cover of of book? >> when we hear about this project we find out what the book is about, there is have manuscripts are sometimes there isn't so you get a flavor of the voice of the author. so from that we had a discussion from the editor publisher and author to find out tuesday have any preconceived notions of what they're looking for? it is always good to hear that up front even if they don't you get a sense of the aesthetics and do research

at the bookstores or the competition and the facing in the next riding with this one i heard my country calling, how did this cover develop? >> this was actually pretty straightforward that it is a story of his and his father's years in the of four. he had these photographs so create new that we wanted to give it a nostalgic feel to marry the two photos together to make it more cohesive. >> host: what went into madison's gift? this is a new book.

>> it is madison so it calls for having his photograph on it and thus subtitle you kind of need to explain that and who are the five people? so it worked out nicely we have five beautiful portraits of the five people that mattered]gc. >> host: one of the other books that you worked on jackie seow , is the of bully pulpit. here is the cover and here is the finished product. but what was this? [laughter] >> when feetfirst learn about a book with a it exploration of photographs out there there were great photographs of the two of them together. we thought that was a great

opportunity to do something with that but it did not have the big look that we wanted, that epic feel. . .

there's still a technology there and maybe there's a business model for it but that doesn't mean that you can evade the law to run a business.
