formed in 1909 with the educated drivers at all levels in both the craft of writing and the marketing of their work. we've been doing that for 100 years. california writers club currently has 21 branches throughout this day, nearly two dozen members and it all started in oakland. if you're a writer coming it to be connected with the writing group in the bay area has quite a number of them. what i like about the california writers club is the rich history, connection to oakland and the fact it's been around for 100 years. i loved the story of the founders. jack london where we are now was born in 1870s pics. his mentor was california first poet laureate in oakland's first library and peered she met with jack and joaquin miller who brought the land up in the hills with the vision of making it a writer's retreat and dispels the

there is the book festival and the bay area book festival and it's been around a couple years. these are named after and transferred containers. it's all about writing. whether it's on a blog on the computer, on the printed page. the energy of the people. there is a love of writing, a love of wanting to be together obviously part of it because with the whole bay area growing, it is hard to get different places. there's something about the energy of jack london square where we are today that is just inspiring.
