as even as far away as america and the new president they're going to play a huge will in iranian society and how they decide to cast their ballots. we do see this huge presence of the people on the streets right now. how do you think this is going to affect the momentum come the election quake. >> will it depends on what happens between now and when the iranianb take place feet of president trump continues with his reckless and thoughtless and undiplomatic ãthey are not going to back the revolution was to have been for 38 years, at least within iran. but it is going to solidify the position of whoever will be running for office. obviously mr. rouhani will run for a second term. we do not know who our traditionalist friends are going to propose for whoever it is i think they will be thanks to president trump, this is

ironic, you have this unity of the message of what the founder of islamic revolution, the unity of thought, purpose, things to president trump i think we will achieve that. another thing that will give iranians an edge is mr. trump 's rejection, alienation and ã they call this the worst deal in history. they're not based on any factual evidence. whereas the fact that mr. trump and his mistress want to back on that will show that washington does not follow through his promises. that washington reneges as i think the first time using a message that you really cannot trust the corrosive elements in washington. even it is multilateral.

not just between washington and around but washington and five other superpowers. i think it will solidify the iranian position and bring people together. perhaps the -- >> do you agree with that assessment professor? let's not forget that time and again it has been said that any boat cast during elections in iran, no matter which candidate is a vote for the islamic system of government. >> yes. and as we get closer to elections we have all of these media outlets. they broadcast from the united states, europe, they asked people not to go to the polls. and when people go to the polls, their choosing a

candidate that they like. they also saying that except the system presenting them with the choices that they have. and in terms of counting the votes and when actually matters. overall, the message that we have been getting from outside from the us government or outlets as such, connecting the us government has actually been helpful. because this is characteristic of iran. so the encouragement is more helpful than what has been. it has been somewhat but we want them to be more helpful and actually very close to the election asking people to vote.

>> right. your opinion on this as well. if you would like as far as the elections has happens is the previous elections in iran. we had a belligerent government in power. let's not forget the situation and yemen, iraq, syria. >> i think actually i reemphasize the aspect of the revolution. we need to struggle against injustice. we know from our experience and also our belief in islam the struggle goes on. you know and the only important thing is are you going to be part of standing for what is right. and standing for those who are

oppressed. and standing for the independence and empowerment of the people. and islamic iran and the islamic revolution has done that for the last 38 years. it has been extremely successful. you know on the other side, looking at the end of islamic revolution, and the united states we see that that is also exposed now with donald trump. and while obama was involved in killing hundreds of thousands and millions of people with weapons and that he was able to put a nice charismatic smile. and try to justify it for piece of the world. now, we see that the system, this abuse of systems of the united states, this colonial

power is exposed. the faces exposed. the fact that people in the united states overwhelmingly went and elected settlement trump stands for conflict and racism and division, all sorts of things which is against all concept of humanity. >> indeed. question the way he has been talking is actually speaking volume. if anything, it cleared the boundaries and cleared the mind of those who want to stand up for something much better than what mr. trump extended for. >> while we are on the topic of trump . when you look at the onset of the revolution to today, we will using the great ãyou have the us and then israel, does

this movement, this revolution require an on-site enemy for its survival? >> i don't think so. because the revolution happened because people are oppressed. and the person president was actually ãthe reason iranians called this the great ãbecause the united states is that of taking this opportunity and correcting some of the past mistakes, they decided to stick with this into the last minute and after they decided to fight the new government anyway that
