their vote actually matters. when they wait in long lines when election day comes. overall, the message that we've been getting from outside that is from the u.s. government or connected with u.s. government has actually been helpful. because this is characteristic of iranians. they are told not to do something, they actually manage to do the opposite. so the encouragement, has been more helpful. he has been helpful somewhat but we want him to be more helpful and actually very close to the election, go to work because i would be a big help. >> right. your opinion on this as well, if you like, as far as the elections. a lot of happen since the previous presidential election in iran. with the jcpoa, a belligerent

government in power in the u.s. against iran. and, of course, let's not forget the situation in syria come in yemen, and iraq, et cetera when it comes to daesh, when it comes to the soviet involvement. >> well, i think actually this reemphasizes the aspect of the revolution, the revolution in mind. we need to struggle against injustice. we know both from our experience and also our concept belief in islam that the struggle goes on. the only important thing is should be are you going to be part of that struggle instant for what is right, and standing for those who are oppressed in standing for the independence and the, indeed, the of the people. and islamic iran and th islamic revolution has done that for

last 38 years, and it's been extremely successful. now, you know, on the other side looking at the sort of opponents of islamic revolution, the hegemony of the united states, we see that that is also extremely exposed now with the trump. and while obama was involved in killing hundreds of thousands,, millions of people with the drones and others sort of weapons, but he was able to actually put a very nice charismatic smile and try to justify it for peace of the world. now, we see that the system,, this abusive system of the united states, this colonial power is not truth. the fact that people in united states overwhelmingly went and elected someone like trump who stands for conflict, who stands

a racism, stands for division, stands for all such things which are against the whole concept of humanity. and the way that he has been talking is actually it speaks volume. if anything, it's actually clears these boundaries and clears the mind of those who want to stand up for something much better than what mr. trump is standard for speed while on the topic of trump, professor, when you take a holistic view of the revolution since its onset today, we've always singing the great satan as it was presented, the u.s. then there's the top of israel. does this movement, this revolution require an outside enemy for its survival? >> i don't think so because the revolution happened because people were oppressed, and the

president was oppressing them, was actually an iranian guy named mohammed. this is why you had the revolution. the people wanted and islamic -- he was following something else. the reason iranians called united states the great satan was because the united states was taking this opportunity and correcting some of its past mistakes, i.e. the 1950s 1950s included, they decide to stick with the shot until last minute and at the new government came in, they destructive fight the new government anyway they could and to continue doing that for the past 38 years. that's why they are great satan. so we didn't look for an outside enemy. the outside enemy came to us. as i said earlier, they have an opportunity to even today

natural if it that takes place annually to mark the celebration in connection to the victory of the islamic revolution of iran. of course people from all walks of life gathered in this year traditionally. what was interesting that i spoke to a number of people including a number of teenage students. they were quite angry at the policies, the recent policies of the u.s. government, and their hostility towards the muslim citizens, especially to do with immigration laws they condemned the band of entrance 45-year-old iranian child. that was what they were extremely angry of. many people we spoke to this year were quite angry with the stance of the current u.s. administration, the trump administration. they regarded that policy as a direct insult towards muslims and iranians, devoted muslims. the atmosphere much revolved
